On August 11, the feastday of two Roman martyrs, the TRADITIO Traditional Roman Catholic Internet Site hosted its 1,000,000th participant, according to our detailed statistics counter. TRADITIO is the dean of traditional Catholic internet sites, being the first traditional Catholic site to appear on the internet (on September 29, Michaelmas Day this year, we will celebrate our 10th anniversary). We were on the internet before all the others, even before the Vatican was!
We thank the Lord for our now 1,000,000 participants from all over the world, who keep us current on everything going on in the bowels of the New Vatican, in the inner sancta of various traditional organizations, and at the many Traditional Latin Mass sites. We give in return the unique perspective of mature observation from the perspective of many decades, even from before Vatican II.
Our files bulge with messages from those who have been converted or reverted to the traditional Roman Catholic Faith as a result of the straight talk of this site. When everyone else around was kowtowing to the New Order and its ecclesiocrats, TRADITIO was telling the full truth of the matter. Now, as the Church of the New Order and its Novus Ordo Protestant-Masonic-Pagan counterfeit service crumbles into heterodoxy, immorality, and even inanity, TRADITIO's courageous stand these last ten years has been fully vindicated.

TRADITIO has constantly warned its participants to beware of "conservative Catholics." These are "wolves in sheep's clothes," who dress up to look traditional, but are hook, line, and sinker into the New Order. Sometimes even traditional Catholics get so desperate that they fall into the clutches of such people.
Remember all the hoopla about Ave Maria College/University, which tried to pose itself as "traditional" in order to squeeze money out of confused Novus Ordinarians, and even traditional Catholics? Remember the names that were dragged in? Thomas Monaghan, former CEO of Domino's Pizza, who was often -- wrongly -- described in the press as "traditional," but who in fact is a rabid Novus Ordinarian, fully committed to the Church of the Vatican II Springtime.
And then, of course, there was Joseph Fessio, head of the Ignatius conglomerate, another "conservative" dedicated to the Church of the New Pentecost. He liked to talk about maintaining obedience to the Novus Ordo apparatus. But when his superior transferred him from the University of San Francisco to become assistant chaplain at a small hospital in Southern California, he found that he wasn't so obedient any more. He engineered himself away from "obedience" to his Novus Ordo bosses in a flash!
Well, it turns out that Monaghan has pulled the plug on two "conservative Catholic" colleges that his Ave Maria Foundation set up. Staff members of Ave Maria, some of whom made great sacrifices to take up employment, fear being turned out of a job, and professors, most of them lured away from lucrative tenured or tenure-track positions at other institutions, face having to re-enter the already over-bloated academic job market. The reward for their previous sacrifices would effectively be a hammer to the kneecaps. Parents, who can't get straight answers from Ave Maria officials, feel betrayed. So Crux News reports.
TRADITIO's observation over these last forty years indicates that invariably these "conservative" initiatives are all smoke and mirrors. Same with the "indult" Novus Ordo organizations. Anything connected with the New Order is tainted this way. Disillusioned Catholics receive mailings with beautiful brochures. They read all the glowing reports in the wandering publication. They are so desperate to find anything that purports to be "Catholic" that they fall into the deception.
You just can't trust these "conservatives." Oh, yes, they paint grandiose descriptions of themselves and their plans. But if you read carefully, you can tell that these are people who have never run an educational organization and haven't a real idea how to go about it. They are short of funds and short of ability. The faculty is often a congeries of ne'er-do-wells, who couldn't get a job in a sound educational institution if they tried. Caveat Catholicus!
The Church of the New Order just gets better and better, doesn't it? It has been revealed that Raymond Burke, widely identified as a "conservative," who was moved last December from LaCrosse to become Archbishop of St. Louis, consecrated to final vows in 2002 a man as a "nun." We kid you not.
The reporter writes in a Riverfront Times article aptly titled "Bishop Takes Queen," that Burke consecrated one "Sister Julie." When one of the diocese wrote to the Apostolic Delegate in Washington, D.C., exposing "Sister Julie" as a biological male, the Apostolic Delegate, Abp. Gabriel Montalvo, did exactly what every Newchurch official does when you complain to "higher authority" about a scandal. He exposed the complaint's identity and sent the letter right back to the offending bishop for action. This is the same trick that the Ecclesia Dei Commission pulls when you write to complain about a recalcitrant bishop.
And what did Burke do? He did admit the salient fact: that "Sister Julie" had a sex-change operation to turn him into her. Nevertheless, he chewed out the complainant for having used her Vatican II-given right to contact the pope's representative.
It just goes to show that the "conservative" Novus Ordo bishops are worse than the liberal ones. At least with the liberal ones, what you see is what you get. But the "conservative ones," like Fabian Bruskewitz, of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Charles Chaput, of Denver, Colorado, add hypocrisy to their anti-Catholic activities. You remember Bruskewitz from the Masonic scandal, when he threatened to excommunicate "Catholic Masons," but never did. Yet he participated in the Masonic Shriner's picnic and allowed a Methodist bishop to be "consecrated" in his own cathedral. You remember Chaput from the infamous "Indian Feather" Mess.
Believe us, folks, if you think you've seen scandal in the Novus Ordo so far, you've got a big surprise coming. The last forty years have concealed so much corruption that the sewage is backing up. The septic tank is overflowing, and the corruption is bubbling to the surface. And the stench of the offal is awful -- and getting worse all the time.
While a few "conservative" Novus Ordinarians try to have Newchurch bishops withhold the Novus Ordo cookie from pro-abortion "Catholic" politicians, a new survey indicates that they are whistling in the dark.
The Pew Research Center, which does a number of polls on religious topics, this month reported that after the pope gave the cookie to Italy's leading pro-abortion politician, after Doctrinal Prefect Ratzinger did more about-faces on the issue than a John Kerry, and after Card. McCarrick and the other U.S. bishops were found incompetent to issue a clear doctrinal statement, three out of four "Catholics" of the New Order Church opined that the Kerrys and Kennedys and similar ilk should not be bound by Catholic teaching. "72 percent of U.S. 'Catholics' believe it is improper for Church leaders to deny Communion to 'Catholic' politicians whose views on abortion and other life issues go against Church teachings."
So, once again, the Church of the New Order and its minions prove themselves not to be Catholic. Once again, the pope's supposed criticism of the "culture of death" falls as a dead letter upon those whom he is supposed to rule. "Traditional Catholics don't obey the pope?" Give us a break! It is his own Novus Ordinarians who don't obey him. Why doesn't he excommunicate them?
When is this charade of the "New Mess" going to end? It's as invalid as a three-dollar bill, and everyone knows it. The fact that the matter used is frequently invalid has been admitted by the New Vatican and has been the subject of a recent expose in the popular press.
The pope and his minions have realized that things have gotten out of control -- the P.C. term they use is "abuses" -- but they can't bring themselves to admit publicly that the Novus Ordo Mess itself is an abuse -- sacrilegious, blasphemous, idolatrous, irreligious, and just plain invalid. In order not to have the "Springtime of Vatican II" rained on, certain "conservative" cardinals in the Vatican wanted to correct the "abuses." But the Novus Ordo bishops wouldn't let them. They like the abuses!
So, the Vatican, the slave of the Novus Ordo bishops since the Council, backed way off. It satisfied itself with a few minor revisions of the Novus Ordo Missal, but now the Modernists are so far in control of Newchurch that the radical Novus Ordinarians are resisting even the Vatican's minor revisions.
The main problem seems to be that, in a small way, the revisions try to make a distinction between presbyter and people. This is anathema to the Modernists of the Church of the New Order, since for years they have been trying to put over the idea of the "Priesthood of the People." Once this Protestant theological notion is put over in Newchurch, the floodgates can be opened to a married clergy, married nuns, priestesses, priestless messes, etc.
The consensus of the discussion by Novus Ordo presbyters on a May 26 ABC Radio National Religion Report suggested that "much work remains to be done" on the draft. In other words, the Modernists want more radical changes, not a few conserving revisions. The presbyters admitted this fact, saying: "The worship text is only part of our agenda of liturgy." Yes, folks, the Modernists have an even more radical liturgical agenda. And guess who is the leading cardinal who is resisting the New Vatican's puny efforts? Yes, the pagan Roger Mahony, of Los Angeles. The Australians have already thrown in their lot with him. [CN]
The New Mess, fabricated by a Freemason Archbishop and six Protestant ministers, is really a piece of man-made trash. It is an affront to God, Who we know is not mocked. When men dared to touch the divine worship, Almighty God saw to it that their work was turned to invalidity, just as He saw to the toppling of the Tower of Babel. The Novus Ordo service is popularly known as "NO Mass," and the Novus Ordinarians, who have lost their Catholic wits, have only cookie crumbs, which they take into their filthy hands and tread upon on the floor. Valid? Not way! The actions of the Novus Ordinarians demonstrate that even they don't think so.
Say a prayer of thanks today that you, as a Traditional Roman Catholic, have the true Mass, the true Sacraments, and the true Faith. You don't have to go through what the Novus Ordinarians are going through. There is always confusion and suffering when man chooses to play God. And the Sacred Liturgy is God's. It is not ours to make up as we will.
The Church of the New Order, not being Catholic, has of course violated the dogmatic teaching of the Oecumenical Council of Trent:
If any one saith ... that the Mass ought to be celebrated in the vulgar tongue only, let him be anathema [condemned, excommunicated]. Sessio XXII, Caput IX, Canon IX.
One thing about TRADITIO. We don't hand out sugar cookies. We don't pander to purple, scarlet, or even white. The Roman Catholic Church has nothing to fear from the truth. Our Lord told us: "And you shall know the truth: and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32/DRV). The true Church reflects the truth of Christ. Our Lord and his greatest Saints never hesitated to call a spade a spade, and they did so with very strong language indeed. He Himself called the leaders of the Church of His time "filthy hypocrites" (Matthew 23:27/DRV) and "liars" (John 8:55/DRV).
TRADITIO has consistently criticized the current pope for his deafening silence while even his cardinals and bishops conspire, racketeer, lie, and steal to perpetuate a ring of corruption based in payoff and hush money on top of sexual immoralities. TRADITIO has from the beginning placed the moral blame for this grievous sin exactly where it belongs: at the feet of the pope.
For some reason, however, many Catholics do not follow the example of Our Lord. They don't want to call a spade a spade. They don't want to recognize that JPII is far from a "Holy Father." His reign from virtually every perspective, whether it be dogmatic, liturgical, sacramental, or moral, has been a disaster for the Roman Catholic Church that he took a solemn oath to guard and protect.
He has put himself out as the successor of St. Peter for over 25 years now. Yet the vast majority of the immorality scandal has occurred under his watch, not to speak of the counterfeit "New Order." And he hasn't acknowledged it. Does he think that it will all just disappear if he doesn't mention it, so that he can play John Paul II the Good? We didn't think so then, and we don't think so now.
As previous TRADITIO Commentaries from the Mailbox have pointed out, the pope has at his disposal a vast number of media outlets to disseminate around the world the myth of John Paul II the Greatest. But it won't wash. The facts are otherwise. And they're catching up with him now. "Great is truth, and it prevaileth" (3 Esdras 4:41/DRV).
Jason Berry and Gerald Renner, investigative journalists and religion writers, in their new book, aptly entitled Vows of Silence, have now blown the cupola off the New Vatican and implicated the pope himself. According to the Boston Globe:
Berry and Renner paint a portrait of a clueless, isolated Catholic hierarchy that is Orwellian, [with] the pope's blindness to the scandal.... "Why did the pontiff most sophisticated in using mass media fail to resolve a crisis so damaging to the Church?" the authors ask rhetorically. "The most charitable answer is that John Paul saw no crisis."
The book lays the blame for the crisis not at the feet of bishops who enabled abusers by moving them from parish to parish, but at the foot of the Holy See. Under Pope John Paul II, enablers and even alleged perpetrators ... are rewarded, while whistleblowers ... get punished.
The authors return regularly to their theme that it is the pope, not callous bishops and callow priests, who deserve the blame for the crisis. "His myopia on the Church's corruption suggests the kind of hybris we associate with kings in Shakespearean drama...."
The book also details the shocking degree of corruption within a supposedly "conservative" Newchurch group, the Legionnaires of Christ. This group, to which even "conservative" and semi-traditional Catholics have fallen prey, in their copious mailings conniving monetary contributions, is just one example of Newchurch corruption in "conservative" orders, which also include the likes of Opus Dei and Maryknoll Missionaries.
The noose is tightening for Newchurch. The old saw that Novus Ordinarians liked to give -- "We know that there are 'abuses' elsewhere, but my bishop is a Saint" -- is now being shown up for the falsity that it is. All bishops of the United States are involved in the corruption, together with many cardinals, and now, according to this latest "smoking gun" report, the pope himself.
Many of TRADITIO's participants have wondered why there is such a disconnect between reality and what is put out by the media associated with the New Vatican. Attendance at the Novus Ordo Protestant-Masonic-Pagan service is at an all time low. Hardly anyone feels a "vocation" to the Novus Ordo presbyterate. The Church of the New Order is mired in embezzlement, racketeering, conspiracy, obstruction of justice, and immoralities. Even the New Vatican puts out schlock as doctrine that even the Protestants would be embarrassed to acknowledge.
Why is it, then, that, according to the New Vatican media and its minions (like EWTN in the United States) constantly pretend that the "New Pentecost" is the best thing since wheatless kommunion kookies? Well, folks, that's what's called propaganda, from the Latin. And it can be very successful.
This is a lesson that the worst world leaders learned well. Stalin's regime was at least than six times more lethal that Hitler's Germany, but Stalin had a better propaganda machine. That is why we hear incessantly about the few millions that died in the Nazi concentration camps, whereas we infrequently hear about the many tens of millions that died under the Soviet massacres. The Soviet propaganda machine published beautiful pictures of Russia to show how wonderful the fruits of athiestic Communism were, whereas the people were standing in breadlines never shown.
In our own time, Red China has shown a successful propaganda face. To most Americans, China has become a wonderful place that loves Coca Cola and McDonalds, and wants to be capitalistic. This propaganda machine has even bamboozled fundamentalist Christian leaders, like Pat Robertson, who won't say a word about the thousands of Christians that are even today being publicly and privately murdered by the Red Chinese government.
Now we have the New Vatican's propaganda machine. According to a recent news article by Chiesa, there are now some fifteen international news agencies whose purpose in existence is to pander a rosy picture of the New Pentecost and JPII:
And who runs this propaganda machine? The Vatican Press Office's own head is a supernumerary of Opus Dei, which is the most manipulatively political organization that has existed since the Renaissance Jesuits, who had finally to be suppressed by the pope. Other propagandists include those Modernist Jesuits, who sank during Vatican II to little more than machine-gun-carrying "liberation theologians" fighting together with the Communists.
You can't believe what you read in these media. The New Vatican mouthpieces have learned well from commercial television and such liberalist organs as the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times. There is a saying that when God closes one door, he opens another. Well, thank God for the internet. At least for a time we have a medium for getting across a more truthful and realistic portrait of the Church of the New Pentecost -- with the most biting Roman satire.
The figures are in for the recent papal P.R. tour to Lourdes -- and they're not good.
First of all, there were an embarrassingly small number of papal groupies for this one -- about 200,000. In 1983, there were 300,000. In fact, the 33% decrease in attendance was so embarrassing that Newchurch Archbishop Perrier, of Lourdes, attempted -- after 21 years -- to readjust the 1983 attendance figure that had already been published!
Here again we have an example of the phonied-up "fruits of Vatican II." Where is the "New Pentecost of Vatican II" that the New Vatican's propaganda machine keeps cranking out?
Rather, it appears that the people of France, once known as the Eldest Daughter of the Church, can't be bothered to go to Our Lady's most important shrine (Lourdes having been established for more than half a century before Fatima) and can't be bothered to see their beloved "JPII," even when it is likely to be his swan song, at least as far as Lourdes is concerned.
But that's not the only problem that Perrier faces. The Novus Ordinarians are apparently getting tired of the "New Pentecost" and its papal "rock star." They're not ponying up the funds to support -- in the words of several cardinals -- these "Broadway productions."
You see, these productions, which have very little of religion about them any longer, and certainly nothing Roman Catholic, are more costly than bringing Madonna (excuse the expression) to town. A couple hours of JPII cost $1,300,000. The French faithful could squeeze out only $200,000 for Peter's pence, maybe 15% of the total cost. It appears that those Perrier springs are going to have to run night and day to pump out millions of litres for export so that the benighted Americans will end up subsidizing the "Frogs." [InfoCatho]
This smacks of a degree of simony of which the Renaissance popes would be proud!
Just to give TRADITIO participants a brief update, the New York Times reports that the Novus Ordo Archdiocese of New York began demolition of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, a beautiful, historical church in Harlem, which it had closed, over objections, about a year ago. The article notes that demolition began on August 18, but was stopped by the New York City Buildings Department later in the day after a neighbor complained, and the Department claimed that the archdiocese lacked a demolition permit. The article also notes that some landmark advocates in the city are annoyed by the "sudden" move to demolish the building.

Isn't that just like the Church of the New Order and its bishop henchmen? They have been exposed as lawless conspirators, racketeers, and criminals, for which they are now more and more being prosecuted. So here we have yet another one of them, knowing that he's not supposed to demolish the church without city approval, so he tries to get in there before anybody finds out. Well, somebody did -- and stopped the barbarian destruction.
Built in 1898, St. Thomas the Apostle Church is a jewel of the Gothic revival style, offering the most beautiful interior architecture with its great space, perpendicular Gothic vaults, and stained glass windows, each and every component made with the best quality possible. St. Thomas the Apostle Church also boasts a type of German pipe organ, of which only four are left in the world, and magnificently carved marble altars and windows.
Laypeople are protesting Egan's attempted destruction of the church and are working to get the church declared an historic landmark. It is no surprise, however, that "the archdiocese, in general, has an anti-landmark policy," according to Simeon Bankoff of the Historic Districts Council. Of course. Egan doesn't want any compromise whatsoever to his autocratic whim.
The raw truth of the Newchurch bishops is proven by how Egan handled this matter from the beginning: he "closed our church with no notice and refused to talk to us about what is happening." We know, we know. Vatican II said that the bishops were supposed to talk with the people and listen to them. But this is just a dead document, filed in the New Vatican's archives. The Newchurch bishops don't listen to anyone (except maybe for P.R. purposes occasionally), but instead do just exactly what they want to do, when they want to do it, and how they want to do it.
John O'Connor, Edward Egan -- all these bishops are the same. They have no respect for law, church or civil. They simply want raw, autocratic power, whether that means preying upon human bodies, destroying historic traditional churches, or invalidating and destroying the Roman Catholic Mass and Sacraments.
It's about time that the Novus Ordinarians got a spine and fought back against their bishops, just as the St. Thomas people have. These Newchurch bishops have forfeited their "authority." In addition to their secular criminal activities, they have apostatized from the Roman Catholic Faith. Anyone who contributes a cent to their coffers is funding sacrilege, immorality, and -- barbarism.
TRADITIO has been notified that Dr. Robert D. Hurt has initiated an organization "to assist in drafting and electing Mel Gibson as the next President of the United States." There will be 30,000,000 pieces of mail going out around the country over the weekend of August 21-22 to launch the campaign.
Why Gibson? Dr. Hurt answers:
There is for all practical purposes no real difference in the stated objectives of Mr. Bush and Mr. Kerry. It's tweedledee or tweedledumb [sic]. Why waste your vote on one or the other when the effective end result would be the same? We surely need someone with courage, conviction, intelligence, imagination, dedication, and strength of character.... If Hollywood's Ronald Reagan can do well, so can Hollywood's Mel Gibson.
Gibson is a well-known conservative and traditional Catholic. His conservative views in politics and religion were covered extensively during the hate campaign waged against him by the radical Abraham Foxman of the Jewish B'nai B'rith, and others, over his 2004 film, The Passion of the Christ, which become so popular with the public that it is already one of the top ten grossing films of all time, even before DVD release later this month.
Gibson's conservative views appear to be based on the traditional Catholic philosophy and theology of St. Thomas Aquinas. That is, Gibson seems to hold to the truly "republican" or "libertarian" position, that government should limit itself to necessary functions and "subsidiarize," that is, delegate to local bodies, communities, or individuals as much self-governance as possible.
Certainly, on the moral side, he is four-square against abortion and "gay marriage." He believes in capital punishment, as well as the right to bear arms. He deplores rock music and other harmful genres and is himself an aficionado of Beethoven and grand opera.
Dr. Hurt points to the problems on which such truly conservative principles would operate:
Gibson's strength of character was certainly proven in the recent brouhaha over The Passion. He remained rational and humble, but never swayed from his purpose. He resisted the calumnies of self-serving special interest groups like B'nai B'rith. On the religious side, he resisted the heretical Modernism of Roger Mahony, even to the extent of funding and building, from his own funds, an independent traditional church, the Holy Family Church, in the Los Angeles area. When the Los Angeles County Supervisors gave in to ACLU threats and removed the small cross from the county seal, Gibson personally funded a counter-attack in the courts.
On the moral side, he is a devoted family man -- a father, husband, and son -- who established the family home in Australia so that his children, when growing up, would not be exposed to the moral horrors of Hollywood. (Gibson himself was born in Peekskill, New York, on January 3, 1956, and is an American citizen.) He has been married to his wife for seventeen years and has six children, one of whom is said to have a vocation to the traditional Catholic sisterhood. His father is a prominent traditional Catholic, who established a traditional religious press in Australia.

TRADITIO has received many irate communications from its participants about the planned attendance of a Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) youth group at World Youth Day 2005 at Cologne. They point out that these festivals are no more religious than Woodstock, at which the most blasphemous and sacrilegious activities take place. Moreover, the worst forms of Novus Ordoism (Modernism) are rampant in Germany, perhaps more than in any other European country.
And guess who is going to be leading this pilgrimage to perdition? None other than Fernando Rifan, the bishop the New Vatican appointed after the traditional bishop of Campos, Brazil, de Castro Meyer, died. The New Vatican couldn't wait to turn Campos over to a bishop straddling Indultism and Novus Ordoism and beholden to the New Order for his position.
Just another example of how Newchurch wants to corrupt even the indultarians into the New Order with sugar-coated arsenic. The minds of the parents of these youths must be totally "darkened" to turn their children over to the likes of Newchurch. Maybe they're reading-impaired!
TRADITIO, among others, has exposed the hypocrisy of the pope and heads of state in remaining silent about Christian genocide by the Mohammedans. There is another Christian genocide going on, about which the pope and heads of state are likewise silent -- that by the Chinese Red Communists.
No, folks. Atheistic Communism is not dead. It is practiced by 1,200,000,000 people in Red China (and elsewhere). This is the most vicious form of Communism, which thinks nothing of murdering Christian ministers, presbyters, and religious in the public square of Beijing in front of the international press.
On August 6, as has happened before, eight underground Novus Ordo presbyters and two underground Novus Ordo seminarians were arrested while they were attending a religious retreat. Approximately twenty police vehicles and a large number of security policemen surrounded Sujiazhuang Village and conducted a house to house search in order to arrest them. They are now detained in the Baoding Security Bureau.
Bishop Su Zhi-Ming, the underground Novus Ordo Bishop of Baoding, was arrested by the Chinese government almost seven years ago, on October 8, 1997. He was seen only once when he was accidentally discovered on November 15, 2003, while he was hospitalized in a Baoding hospital. Once discovered, he was taken away again without a trace. It is not known whether he is now dead or alive. Bishop An Shuxin, the Auxiliary Bishop of Baoding, was also arrested by the government more than eight years ago, in March 1996. He also has not been seen since then. His whereabouts and his condition and whether he is dead or alive is unknown.
More than eight years ago, in April 1996, shortly before an annual pilgrimage was to begin, 5,000 Red Chinese soldiers, supported by dozens of armed cars and helicopters, sealed off the tiny village called Dong Lu. The soldiers completely destroyed the Marian Shrine at Dong Lu and confiscated the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. At the same time, they arrested Bishops Su Zhimin and An Shuxin mentioned above. They also arrested the pastor of this Shrine. After approximately eight years in jail, the pastor was exiled overseas. [CWN]
Joseph Kung, the President of the Cardinal Kung Foundation, said: "While the whole world is in awe at the performance and the spirit of the Olympic Games, the Chinese government, who [sic] will be hosting the 2008 Olympic Games, failed to respect such Olympic spirits and violated its own constitution guaranteeing religious freedom by raiding and jailing these innocent religious personnel. This assault on Baoding Diocese is a strong example of the Chinese government's determination to destroy the underground Church [of the New Order] in China as instructed in its many internal secret documents to their local governments.... We appeal to the international community and to the Olympic International Committee to reassess whether a country like China with such a dismal record of human rights should be awarded the honor of hosting the Olympic Games while such atrocities go on."
Kung's voice will go unheard. Just like the appeasers of Nazi Germany before World War II, the pope, the heads of state, and certainly the Olympic International Committee will turn a deaf ear to the screams of the victims. The genocides undertaken by the Communists dwarf the few millions who died under the Nazis. And yet television and the press are full of concerns about "anti-Semitism." What about the anti-Communism that was preached by the pope, by the noted radio commentator Fr. Charles Coughlin, by the Catholic orator Bishop Fulton Sheen, and by the Bishops and Cardinals of the United States in the first half of the 20th century?
These victims are the pope's own people -- his own bishops, presbyters, and nuns. Yet he will not raise his voice on their behalf. And hypocrites dare to complain against the saintly Pope Pius XII, who with courage and conviction frequently spoke out against Nazism and virtually single-handedly saved the vast majority of Jews in Italy, and -- for which his name will always be blessed -- saved the Eternal City from the depredations of both the Axis and the Allies.
God preserve us from the likes of Pope Paul VI the Prevaricator and Pope John Paul II the Philistine. God grant us another Pius!
Isn't the Providence of God wonderful? He created a universal ("catholic") Church, gave it a universal headquarters at Rome, and gave it a universal language, Latin, the most perfect instrument of language ever created.
The Novus Ordinarians, like those described in the Old Testament who wished to storm heaven by a Tower of Babel, have been relegated to a babble (the word derives from the tower) of vulgar tongues and bad translations -- at just the point when the Church needs its universal language the most, in the modern era. With its loss of Latin, Newchurch has lost its doctrine, its morality, and its sacraments.
A case in point. Here we have a Novus Ordo parish in Rockville Centre, New York, that has to deal with a cacophony of English, Polish, and Spanish to perform its vernacularized Mess. The Newchurch bishop, William Murphy, tried to address the parish on its anniversary. According to Newsday, he even tried a little Latin -- and flubbed it!
Well, no surprise there. The Novus Ordinarians want to make John XXIII a saint, but this bishop can't even follow the prescriptions of that pope's Veterum Sapientia, promulgated personally and in the most solemn form in St. Peter's Basilica during the Second Vatican Council, demanding that clergy have an extensive knowledge of this language, "For the Church, precisely because it embraces all nations and is destined to endure until the end of time, ... of its very nature requires a language which is universal, immutable, and non-vernacular."
But Cicero said it best (Brutus 37:140): "Non enim tam praeclarum est scire latine quam turpe nescire" [It is not so much excellent to know Latin, as it is shameful not to know it].
Then shame on you, Newchurch Bishop William Murphy.
Ah, yes. The relaxed Mess. Presbyter Garry dressed in his golf shirt and scarf-stole against the winter cold under the tent. Bring out the clay pots, boys, and lay them all over the table. God is not worthy of gold. You don't have any place to put your snare drum? Just stick it here on the "table." What's this I hold in my hand? Certainly not a "host." Doesn't even look like a cookie. I know what it is: a sesame stick. Yum!
One of the most ridiculous ploys of the Church of the New Order is the Protestant, Modernist "vernacularist" notion, that somehow what is sacred can best be expressed and celebrated in the (to use the terminology of the Vernacularist heresy) "language of the people." Such a notion was condemned in several sessions of the dogmatic Council of Trent, but we all know that Newchurch conveniently ignores Catholic dogma to create its One-World Oecumenical Church of the United Nations.
Let us look at reality. No major religion in the word, with the possible exception of Protestantism, uses a vernacular language for its sacred functions. Buddhism uses classical, not modern, Chinese. Hinduism uses Sanskrit, an Indic language on a par with Greek and Latin. Byzantine Orthodoxy uses biblical, not modern, Greek.
But the most cogent example is the world's largest and most rapidly growing religion. No, not Christianity. Mohammedanism, Muslimism, Islamism. You may have heard that the Mohammedans use Arabic for their sacred functions, which is a half truth. They use Arabic, but not modern, spoken Arabic, but classical Arabic from the time of Mohammed (roughly A.D. 600, about the period of St. Gregory the Great in the West, about the same time that Patristic Latin reached its peak).
You are probably not aware that, unlike the Church of the New Order, which has virtually tossed out its Tradition and its sacred language, the Mohammedans believe that the Koran is valid only in classical Arabic. Only the original Arabic is literally God's word and is always used in Koran quotations during rituals and sermons. Actually, Catholicism traditionally holds a similar doctrine, that only the Latin Vulgate of St. Jerome is without error in faith and morals, as declared by the dogmatic Council of Trent.
Moreover, Mohammedan youth are commonly required to memorize the entire Koran in its original classical Arabic and are tested annually to make sure that they maintain this knowledge. We don't know of a single modern Catholic who has memorized the New Testament in the Latin Vulgate. However, it was not uncommon for mediaeval Catholics -- not just religious, but laypeople -- to memorize the Latin Psalter. We modern Catholics are really put to shame, aren't we?
Even now, Mohammedans do not completely agree that it is even proper to translate the Koran at all. If you want to understand the real meaning of God's word through Mohammed, they believe, you must do it in the original. In other words, the Mohammedans lift man to God, rather than drag God down to man's lowest common denominator, the way the Novus Ordinarians do.
And it seems that the Mohammedans were right on the money about this, as "modern translations" of the Koran have started to come out that water down the original, just as "modern translations" of the Bible that have come out since Vatican II have watered down Christ into some kind of counterfeit oecumenical brother with a peacenik tattoo!
Well, the Mohammedans must be doing something right. Their sacred language for the Koran and their rituals are not turning people away. They're making Mohammedanism the largest and fastest-growing religion in the world. Just think what the Catholic Church could achieve even now if it dumped the post-Vatican II vulgarization and fully re-instituted the Roman Catholic Church's own proper sacred language, Latin. The New Order could never have been foisted off in the traditional Latin; that is why the New Order has virtually dumped it. The Mohammedans are smarter than the Novus Ordinarians. That's why it is the former who are winning, and the latter who are sinking into the mire.
And their foolish heart was darkened.... Wherefore, God gave them up to the desires of their heart (Acts 1:21,24/DRV). So says St. Paul of the pagans who used their free-will to do immoral things. The words of the Apostle to the Gentiles could well have written these words as the epitaph of the Church of the New Order.
In the past, one might have felt a little sad for the Novus Ordinarians. "They were confused; they were ignorant. It wasn't really their fault that their faith was perverted." If that could be said in the past, it certainly cannot be said now. Nearly forty years have now passed, and that excuse just doesn't hold water. More and more evidence is indicating that the Novus Ordinarians are deliberately choosing evil, funding it and praising it. Therefore, an all-just God, Who keeps His promise to allow men free will, lets these people sink deeper and deeper into the mire of perversion of faith and morals.
A case in point. The current pope, who has supported the most vile forms of immorality by remaining silent about the evils committed by his own hierarchy, recently took an overt action in support of his immoral squads. He appointed the cardinal whose support of sodomy, rape, and hush-money has practically destroyed archdiocese of Boston, Bernard Cardinal Law. The pope should have "defrocked" him, but instead, as previously reported on TRADITIO, appointed him to a cushy sinecure of a job, with a nice salary and a nice apartment.
And now the rest of the story. When Law made his first official public appearance as archpriest of the Basilica of St. Mary Major (what a slap in the face to Our Lady), Rome's La Repubblica reported that "several [Novus Ordinarians] gave him a warm welcome, crowding around him at the end of the service to kiss his ring and ask for his blessing." Are these people for real? Yes, they are. They are the kind of "darkened" people mentioned by St. Paul.
However, the exposure of the corruption that lies within the corpse of Newchurch is not going to be forgotten. La Repubblica quoted one young man as saying: "It is unspeakable that he is here." Another said, "This is horrific. A priest like Law cannot be a spiritual guide."
Newchurch can hide no longer under its reliance on false "obedience" and phony "excommunications" of traditional Catholics. At the Basilica on June 10, the Italian Defense of Infancy, supported by the conservative Italian Social Movement, organized a demonstration against the pope's appointment of Law. "Rome, cradle of civilization, rejects paedophiles," the protesters chanted. Amen!
On August 14 the pope went to Lourdes and there prayed publicly the Five "Looney" (Luminous) Mysteries, which this pope purported to add to the Most Holy Rosary. It seems that the New Order can't keep its immoral hands off of anything, including the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the Most Holy Rosary.
As all Catholics should be aware, there is a reason that the Rosary contains 150 Aves. The Rosary is a derivative, for private devotion, of the official public prayer of the Church, known as the Divine Office, which includes the Holy Mass and the eight Hours. Since over the course of a week the Divine Office normally comprises all 150 Psalms of the Psalter, the Rosary contains 150 Aves, divided into 15 decades, with a Mystery assigned to each for meditation. 150 -- no more, no less. It seems that the current pope is arithmetic-impaired, or Tradition-impaired.
If this Mess is "faithful to the Magisterium of the Church," as the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity performing it claims, the Society must be talking about some other Church than the Roman Catholic Church. Of course: it's the Church of the New Order, or the New Pentecost, or the New Advent, or whatever the pope is deciding to call it today!
Just another example of how the Novus Ordinarians are totally ignorant of the meaning of magisterium. Nor do these people hesitate to invoke the name of the Blessed Virgin Mary to cover up their sacrilege, irreverence, scandal, blasphemy, and idolatry, not to speak of invalidity.
Now shouldn't Presbyter Gier feel silly? Would you be caught dead sitting in a Novus Ordo "sanctuary" surrounded by people (including two "nuns" -- what are they doing in the "sanctuary" anyway?) wearing feather fetishes?
John Kerry, so the joke goes, was going to visit the St. Matthew's Cathedral in Washington, D.C., as part of his campaign. Kerry's campaign manager made a visit beforehand to Cardinal McCarrick and said to him, "We've been getting a lot of bad publicity among Catholics because of Kerry's position on abortion and homosexuality. We'd gladly make a contribution to you of $100,000 if during your sermon you'd say that John Kerry is a saint.
Cardinal McCarrick thinks it over for a moment and agrees to do it. Kerry shows up, and the cardinal begins his sermon. "John Kerry is petty, self-absorbed hypocrite, and a nit-wit. He is a liar, a cheat, and a thief. He is the worst example of a Catholic I've ever personally known. But compared to me John Kerry is a saint!"
You have read on TRADITIO about all the going-on at Fatima, how the Church of the New Order, from the pope on down, is trying to destroy the Catholic quality of the traditional Shrine and replace it with a tennis-racket structure and pagan "oecumenism." At the same time Hindus, Buddhists, and other non-Catholics have been invited to use the altars of the Shrine for their pagan rites.
But traditional Catholics have raised such an outcry that Newchurch "authorities" have been taken aback. Now, as they always do, they are going into disinformation mode. They are trying to deny what they have openly advocated, as documented in the print media of Portugal and around the world. We now have a pathetic lie of a response from none other than the Newchurch rector of the Shrine, Presbyter Luciano Guerrao.
How wrong-headed we traditional Catholics have been! The problem is not with the Church of the New Order. Not with the pope, not with the bishop of Fatima-Leira, not with the rector of the Shrine. The problem is with us traditional Catholics!
In a statement that resembles Hilary Clinton's phony charge (never apologized for, by the way) that it was not her philandering, adulterous husband who was guilty, but a "vast right-wing conspiracy," the rector of the Shrine sputtered:
It is our firm conviction that the great majority, perhaps the totality, of the reactions received is the result of a long orchestration, centered in the United States, by people bitterly opposed to Vatican Council II, specifically to what pertains to a wider opening of the Church, with emphasis on the oecumenical and inter-faith dialogue. [FFA]
My, my. We seem to have it the mark! The rector admits that his program, in union (as he says) with Vatican II, is to emphasize "oecumenical and interfaith dialogue." Well, isn't that just what the traditional Catholics have been charging? And he goes on to more devastating admissions:
That's why we rejoice in the brotherly presence of the representatives of the various spiritual schools, and we are sure that their presence here opened the way for a greater future openness of this Shrine, [a] Shrine that seems already vacationed [sic], thanks to divine providence, for contacts and for dialogue.... This calling is almost explicit, in regard to the oriental, Orthodox and Catholic churches, in the message of the Angel of Peace, and, in regard to the Islamic religion.
What blasphemy! Now this Newchurch rector is alleging that Our Lady of Fatima is not Catholic. That she embraces the Infidels, as Pope Pius XI described it, "mired in the darkness of Islamism." The words of Scripture are quote appropriate for this deceitful Newchurch ecclesiocrat: "He hath blasphemed: What further need have we of witnesses? Behold, now you have heard the blasphemy" (Matthew 26:65/DRV).
One can only hope that the Fatimist extremists (as opposed to the balanced Fatimists) will stop worrying about "end times" and instead concern themselves with the present times, as we have officials of the Newchurch blaspheming Our Lady and perverting her message, which was principally one of repentance for personal sin and a return to Faith -- the only true Faith, the Roman Catholic Faith -- not the darkness of Islamism or pagan Hinduism.
It's usually pointless trying to deal with these Newchurch bishops, but if you want to tell the bishop of Leiria-Fatima just what you think of his false New Order religion and his false oecumenical designs for Our Lady's shrine, you can E-mail Serafim de Sousa Ferreira e Silva.
Some of you didn't believe TRADITIO when we said that the Novus Ordo kookie was invalid. According to unvarying Catholic dogma, one of the three requirements for sacramental validity is valid matter, and once again the Church of the New Order has admitted that it has been handing out cookies, not Communion. It turns out that a girl who was allergic to wheat was given a rice cookie instead, which the Newchurch Trenton diocese now admits was invalid.
The diocese has, in fact, issued a statement that "communion wafers must have at least some unleavened wheat, as did the bread served at the Last Supper." That's a half truth. Roman Catholic theology, based on the institution of Christ Himself, holds that the matter must be "bread," properly unleavened bread (though the small number of Eastern rites violate this principle), that is, only wheat and water. Any other matter added or substituted invalidates the Sacrament. This is the bread that the Jews used at the first Passover, when they escaped from the Egyptians, and this is the bread that the Jews have used every Passover thereafter, as at the Last Supper. Just ask a Jew.
In answer to many charges from U.S. Novus Ordinarians that they were getting phony "communion," the Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith instructed the U.S. National Council of Catholic Bishops in a decision dated March 15, 1978: "It is particularly important to ensure careful observance of the traditional theological interpretation about making of Eucharistic bread, so that the faithful can be assured that every Eucharist is celebrated with matter that is both valid and licit."
Apparently, this problem of Novus Ordo services invalid because of defect of matter was not corrected. A year later, according to a Letter from the Cardinal Prefect of the Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith to the President of the [U.S.] National Council of Catholic Bishops, as approved by Pope John Paul II on May 11, 1979, the Congregation found evidence that Novus Ordo presbyters "have mistakenly used an element for the Eucharist other than genuine bread" -- after the NCCB's own Committee on the Liturgy admitted "abuses in regard to the making of bread for the Holy Eucharist."
Nor has the problem of invalid "communion" yet been corrected. The ingredients of the "Eucharistic bread" used in one Michigan diocese in 1998 is clearly not valid wheaten bread at all, but a cinnamon cracker: white flour, brown sugar, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, honey, shortening, and water. The ingredients used in a California diocese constitute a sugar cookie: white flour, whole wheat flower, salt, sugar, baking powder, margarine.
And the bishop of the Newchurch Trenton diocese, John Smith, admits this doctrine of sacramental validity. "This is not an issue to be determined at the diocesan or parish level, but has already been decided for the Roman Catholic Church throughout the world by Vatican authority. Hosts that are completely wheat-free are invalid matter for the celebration of the Eucharist." Again, another half truth. This dogma was decided not by "Vatican authority," but by Christ and Apostolic Tradition. It cannot, therefore, be changed without invalidity.
Nevertheless, Newsday quotes Elaine Monarch, Executive Director of the Celiac Disease Foundation, as stating that some Novus Ordo "churches allow the use of no-gluten hosts; others don't." Really! So now there is independent confirmation that churches in the United States are, in fact, handing out cookies, not Communion (putting aside questions of the Novus Ordo cookie being invalid because of defect of form and intention as well).
The mother of the girl, obviously not Catholic in her understanding, then proceeded to issue an heretical press statement: "This is a Church rule, not God's will." No, ma'am! If you were a Catholic and properly educated in your Faith, you would know that this is God's will, not a Church rule."
Now, before people get hung up on changing the order of God's own sacramental universe to satisfy the political desire of the mother (who seems to be using her little girl as a liberalistic propaganda ploy) to eat a cookie, remember that many Catholics in many times and places over the last 2000 years, because of persecution, geography, or dearth of priests, never received physical Communion, but were satisfied with Spiritual Communion.
Among these was St. Clare of Assisi, Franciscan abbess of San Damino, who because of illness, could not communicate. Her faith was so strong that a Holy Angel brought her Spiritual Communion each day. If the girl can't eat the tiniest particle, then let her emulate St. Clare, certainly one of greatest lights of God's holy Church and a noted devotee of the Most Blessed Sacrament.
With all of the hullabaloo going on about U.S. Presidential candidate John Kerry receiving the Novus Ordo kommunion kookie, even though he holds a pro-abortion position, and with all the wrangling between Cards. Ratzinger, McCarrick, et al. over the topic, people seem to have totally missed the fact that JPII -- yes, the pope himself -- gives the kookie to pro-abortion politicians! So, this policy comes not from the United States, but from New Rome.
Yes, folks, for all his talk about the "culture of death," it appears that when push comes to shove, JPII has no compunction about handing out the kookie to pro-abortion politicians, just like all his minions. As reported by Melinda Nenneberger, Washington Correspondent for the New York Times and Contributing Editor of Newsweek, Francesco Rutelli, the former mayor of Rome, a "pro-choice Catholic" of the Italian left, admitted that he had received the kookie from the hand of Pope John Paul II himself. Rutelli made the statement in public at the Environment 2004 meeting in Boston on August 9.
"Oh yes, this is true," Rutelli said, and added: "This is very strange for me, that you cannot be a Christian and also uphold the law of your country. So, this is politics, too?," wryly suggesting that perhaps the neocon American bishops were not even in synch with Rome.
Rutelli was the member of the Italian parliament who, as a very young radical, introduced the bill legalizing abortion in Italy. About six years ago he started going to the Novus Ordo service, and JPII happily gave him the kookie. Rutelli's views have not changed on abortion. So, those who are up in arms about Kerry et al. receiving the Novus Ordo kookie should instead turn their ire against JPII, who is ultimately responsible.
"Be not deceived: God is not mocked" (Galatians 6:7/DRV). So as to prevent sacrilege by the New Order against His Most Precious Body and Blood, Our Lord has allowed the Novus Ordo to have not a Sacrament, but a mere cookie, from defect of form, matter, and intention. Thus, the neocon Novus Ordinarians can wring their hands over this issue all they want, but in the end a cookie is a cookie is a cookie.
"Great is truth, and it prevaileth" (3 Esdras 4:41/DRV). It seems that the Novus Ordo archbishop of Milwaukee has finally come around to the traditional Catholic position on the papacy, as proclaimed by dogmatic council Vatican I. The truth, however, had to be loosed from his lips, as he had already hoisted a few schnapps at Theology on Tap, a Novus Ordo talk-fest held in a local bar on July 15, since the kids won't set foot in his churches.
When someone asked, "What is the value of papal infallibility?," Timothy Dolan replied: "It limits the pope, since he is bound by Scripture and Creed and can't change Tradition. The boundaries define the faith, just as the football field's boundaries define the game."
Right answer, but in saying so, Dolan was agreeing with traditional Catholics. Not even the pope has the power to change the Tradition of the Mass and Sacraments. Dolan, in saying so, was essentially admitting that Paul VI exceeded the powers of his office and that his change of the Traditional Latin Mass into a Protestant-Masonic-Pagan "New Order of Mass" (Paul VI's own term) was null and void.
Dolan is, of course, over thirty years late in realizing this Catholic dogma, proclaimed by a dogmatic council, as Fr. James Wathen already proved in his epoch-making 1971 tome, The Great Sacrilege. The moral of this story is that, if you wait long enough, the Novus Ordo and its hierarchy will hang themselves by their own petard and admit the truth of the traditional position.
Along with other pagan practices, the Church of the New Order is introducing Hinduism into its bosom. The principal origin of this unCatholic corruption appears to have started with the current pope, who had himself anointed with cow dung by a Hindu priestess in Bombay on February 2, 1986. Reports abound that Mother Teresa also attempted to "syncretize" aspects of Hinduism with Novus Ordoism.
More recently, this paganism has been introduced at the local level through Hindu meditation practices (condemned even by the Doctrine of Faith Congregation of the New Order), yoga, and other such practices. In London, for example, at the Benedictine Centre for Spirituality Workshop, the Novus Ordinarians are introduced to Bio-spiritual Focusing: "a simple approach into the wisdom of your body-the-bridge, connecting you with a Sacred Presence greater than yourself." This is supplemented by Finding the Ground and Finding the Sky: "learning, through yoga poses, how the spine to lengthen [sic]."
What is yoga, and how is it pagan? Here is a definition of yoga from a Hindu source:
When yoga is talked about, the first name that comes to mind is that of patanjali maharishi. He is the one attributed to be the establisher of the yoga system.... The tradition says that this sage was like a serpent in the bottom part of the body. He is considered to be the Adishesha, on whom mahavishnu reclines. This renowned serpent wanted to have the darshan of the glorious dance of Lord Shiva. He and another sage with the legs of tiger (vyaghrapada) performed the austerities at the abode of chidambaram. The Lord, appreciating their adherence and devotion, danced in front of them.
So, yoga is a pagan practice, bound up with the Lord Shiva, the third deity of the Hindu triad of great gods, the others being Brahma and Vishnu. Do you really think that St. Benedict would have recognized any of this as but the grossest and most unCatholic paganism? Yet, his Novus Ordo progeny (who aren't really Benedictines, of course) have imbibed this paganism and are teaching it to the Novus Ordinarians.
And this is coming from the very top, JPII himself, as the following Catalog of Papal Indiscretions clearly demonstrates:
That is why the Novus Ordo service now bears marks of paganism, as well as Protestantism and Freemasonry. And that is why no Catholic can have anything to do with the New Order and its counterfeit Protestant-Masonic-Pagan service.
Do we need an Eleventh Crusade? The parallel between the persecution of Christians in the Mohammedan lands in the 11th century and the 21st century is uncanny.
In the 11th century, the Crusades were undertaken to deliver the Holy Places from Mohammedan tyranny. All peoples and sovereigns were united under the direction of the popes as, for example, the First Crusade under Pope Urban II. All crusades were announced by preaching. For example, the Seventh Crusade was preached by St. Bernard of Clairvaux. After pronouncing a solemn vow, each warrior received a cross from the hands of the pope or his legates, and was thenceforth considered a soldier of the Church. St. Francis of Assisi accompanied the Fifth Crusade.
The avowed purpose of the Crusades was not to take territory or to conquer lands. In the 10th century Christians, moved by devotion, were accustomed to visit Jerusalem and pray at the Holy Sepulchre without being molested by the Mohammedans. Suddenly, in 1009, Hakem, the Fatimite Caliph of Egypt, in a fit of madness ordered the destruction of the Holy Sepulchre and all the Christian establishments in Jerusalem.
For years thereafter Christians were cruelly persecuted and enslaved. In 1070 the Mohammedan infidels took Jerusalem and Asia Minor, and all of Syria became the prey of the Mohammedan Turks. The Crusades were organized to protect the safety of Christian pilgrims and to protect the independence of the Byzantine Empire and of all Christendom.
Let us fast forward to the 21st century. What do we find? Mohammedan mobs from Africa to the Balkans to Indonesia have been openly massacring Christians in order to enslave them to Allah. You see, Christian doctrine is that man has free will and must voluntarily convert to the true Faith; otherwise, the conversion is pointless. In Mohammedan doctrine, "infidels" are to be converted by the sword if necessary.
We are rapidly returning to the conditions of the 11th century and the cause for the Crusades. If, as the 21st-century pope has assured us, "Islam is a religion of peace," and "we all worship the same god," what is going on? Why the persecutions? Why the rampages and massacres to force peaceful Christians to flee their homes in Nigeria, Sudan, Kosovo, Iraq, Egypt, Indonesia? This is the false "oecumenism" of the Church of the New Order gone mad.
JPII should be more inclined to threaten an Eleventh Crusade to protect his people. But it seems that he cares just as little for protecting his Catholic people from massacre by the Mohammedans as he does for protecting his Catholic people from the sexual and monetary predations of his cardinals, bishops, and presbyters.
There is an effort in the liberalist press to marginalize these determined Mohammedans as "radicals" or "fundamentalists," and yet experts on Mohammedanism tell us that upwards of 75% of Mohammedans around the world are "radicals" or "fundamentalists," bound and determined by religious oath to subject the West to the sword of Islam.
This pope had better throw the cold water of reality on his face and get in line with his more discerning predecessor popes, one of whom commanded that annually on the Feast of Christ the King, Catholics all over the world should pray for "those who are still mired in the darkness of idolatry or of Islamism."
With the cooperation of this pope, JPII, the Mohammedans may well achieve what they were not able to do under his predecessor popes: bring Christendom under the yoke of Mohammed and his law.
The Church of the New Order sustains its facade in part by maintaining a "mutual admiration society." Its Eleventh Commandment is: "never criticize another Novus Ordinarian." Thus, Card. Ratzinger, the head of doctrine for Newchurch, will never criticize a Card. McCarrick or a Bp. Gregory for their doctrinal failings. A Card. Hoyos will never criticize a Card. Law for his liturgical abnormality. And this pope will never criticize any "prelate," no matter how deep he has sunk into public immorality. It was this Eleventh Commandment that Abp. Lefebvre broke. He violated the cover-up of the Gentlemen's Club. That was his "sin" against the New Order.
So now we have JPII, from his mountain castle, praising his predecessor, Paul VI, as an "unforgettable pastor" and saying that the Catholic Church should always "treasure his example and his teachings." This he said on the 26th anniversary of Paul VI's death, August 6, 1978, which also happened to be the 59th anniversary of the dropping of the atom bomb on Hiroshima. By an irony of history, that date curiously fits, as it was Paul VI who dropped the bomb on the Roman Catholic Church in 1969 by the introduction of his New Order.
There is no organization more vicious than the Church of the New Order when it comes to punishing the truth. So much has it invested, from the pope on down, in the lie of Newchurch that it cannot tolerate anyone who stands up to tell the truth in front of God, the pope, and everyone. Abp. Lefebvre, who displayed incredible courage in standing up to the Counterfeit Church, found that out. Fr. Gruner found that out. And Presbyter Stephen Somerville has now found that out.
Somerville publicly repented of his work in writing the vernacular "New Mass":
I am a priest who for over ten years collaborated in a work that became a notable harm to the Catholic Faith. I wish now to apologize before God and the Church and to renounce decisively my personal sharing in that damaging project. I am speaking of the official work of translating the new post-Vatican II Latin liturgy into the English language, when I was a member of the Advisory Board of the International Commission on English Liturgy (I.C.E.L.).
Somerville subsequently reverted to traditional Roman Catholicism. This was too much for the Church of the New Order. To have one of their own (like Abp. Lefebvre) pull the covers off the Counterfeit Church and expose the anti-Catholic corruption underneath cannot be tolerated. Somerville was suspended from the Church of the New Order by Aloysius Cardinal Ambrozic, of Toronto. Good! Since Somerville is apparently now a traditional Roman Catholic, why would he want to have anything to do with that spokesman for the Church of the New Order?
And, by the way, the Ecclesia Dei Commission was of no help to Somerville at all. As a matter of fact, the Commission handed him over to his inquisitors for burning at the stake. Those indultarians who support this phony commission, which has not one shred of sympathy for true Roman Catholicism, are part of the problem, not part of its solution.
It seems that an anti-abortion group has taken out newspaper advertisements around the country, calling upon the pope to explain the position of Cardinals Ratzinger and McCarrick that pro-abortion politicians in the Church of the New Order can take the Novus Ordo Kommunion Kookie. The advertisement is headed: "Is Abortion not All that Bad -- Or Is the Eucharist not All that Good?"
The second alternative in the question is certainly true -- as far as the Church of the New Order goes. One of the things for which traditional Catholics can be very thankful to the Lord in this period of crisis in the Church is that He has withdrawn Himself from the Holy Eucharist in the Novus Ordo churches. If He had not, the sacrilege would be intolerable, abetted as it is by Novus Ordo clergy from the top on down.
It is hard to deny any longer that the Novus Ordo service, in any version, is unCatholic, sacrilegious, irreverent, scandalous, blasphemous, idolatrous, and putatively invalid, because it fails to meet one or more of the three criteria established in Catholic dogmatic and sacramental theology for a valid Mass and most cogently in Pope Leo XIII's Apostolicae Curae.
But, more importantly, this anti-abortion group is "too little, too late." They have abandoned their Roman Catholic religion. They have accepted in its place a phony Church of the New Order. They have accepted a phony Mess. They have accepted phony sacraments. So is it any surprise that they are now mired in the immorality of Newchurch? And who is responsible for all of this? The very pope to whom they now appeal. As the Roman satirist Juvenal said so many years ago, yet with eternal truth: Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
These anti-abortion groups are D.O.A. until they return to the fully traditional Roman Catholic Faith. That is their only salvation. That is the only place where they will find complete support for their position. All the rest is pointless politics; they have become "as a sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal" (1 Corinthians 13:1/DRV).
Why? Because the Church of the New Order is pro- abortion. How do we know? Because its members, who presume to call themselves "Catholics" (and here were not talking about merely the hierarchy, but the actual parishioners of the New Order churches), act out their belief in the morality of abortion.
Take, for example, this information from the Sydney Morning Herald. Statistics provided by Sydney's main abortion provider, Australian Birth Control Services, showed that almost 40% of the those served identified themselves as "Catholic." An analysis of women who have had more than one abortion at the clinic since it opened in the late 1980s found that Catholics account for almost 45% of those who identified their religion.
The figure is actually higher because Catholics are be more reluctant than other "patients" to divulge their religion. Too guilty perhaps? The situation is known to be far worse among self-identified "Catholics" in the United States.
And right here in Melbourne is the John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family. It just goes to show that JPII as pope is having no effect upon his Church. Oh, sure, the Novus Ordinarians praise him to the skies and prattle on about how "holy" he is, yet they deride and scorn the man behind his back. What is worse is that they pay him no heed at all.
People argue about whether JPII is really the pope or not. As far as the members of the Church of the New Order is concerned, he isn't. It doesn't matter what the Novus Ordinarians say for show. The important thing is to look at how they act. And it is clear that they act as if there were no pope. The Church of the New Order is in reality sede-vacantist.
As far as the Church is concerned, we are back in the third century at Rome. This was a bad century. After the Five Good Emperors of the second century, ending with the Stoic philosopher Marcus Aurelius, Rome sank deeper and deeper into immorality and venality. Just as now. The emperors were, on the whole, bad. Just as the post-conciliar popes are.
But there was another interesting feature of these times. With everything in upheaval, the Roman people lost their good judgment. Instead of maintaining their moral virtues and their well known practical wisdom, as they had done, Rome started going off the deep end. Mystery religions, visionaries, seers, magicians, astrologers, and the like popped up on every street corner. One particularly popular visionary was named Apollonius, a blindman who hailed from a city in the East, Tyana.
It seems that these days, the American people (as well as others) have lost their good judgment. At one time America was known for its practical virtues and pragmatism, just like the Romans. It seems, however, that many Novus Ordinarians, and even some "conservatives," have fallen for the Vision and Apparition Mill. It seems that visionaries and seers have crawled out of the woodwork, and those of little faith easily abandon Our Lord Jesus Christ and fall prey to false prophets and false visions. You know the litany: Medjugorje, Bayside, Garabandal, Atlanta, Maryland....
These "seers" are shrewd. They know that no one will accept their own authority, so they pretend that their deceits come from the Virgin Mary. They claim to be "Marian," and claim that all those who are against them are "not Marian." Sometimes, instead of claiming new "visions," they pervert existing visions. For some reason, Fatima seems to be a particularly ripe field for extremists. They speak not of a balanced, private devotion, such as Lourdes, but of "end times," "secrets," and so forth, the very thing condemned by Our Lord, as recorded in the New Testament Acts of the Aposties. Eventually, even some good-hearted people become less Christian and more Extreme Fatimists. Of course, this extremism bears no relation to true Catholicism.
These credulous people cannot say that they haven't been warned. Our Lord was very clear about this point:
For there will rise up false Christs and false prophets: and they shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce (if it were possible) even the elect. (Mark 13:22/DRV)
They are like the corrupt Herod, who, when Our Lord was presented to him, "was desirous of a long time to see him, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to see some sign wrought by him" (Luke 23:9/DRV). In other words, Herod in his irreligious soul wanted simply to see a magic trick. Our Lord did not cooperate.
Even the New Order has had to admit the ridiculous nature of these "visions." Medjugorje has been condemned many times; Garabandal has fallen short; Bayside, Atlanta, and Maryland are pure silliness. And now we have a good example from our friends "down under" in Queensland. According to the Queensland Courier-Mail, we have another false apparition to add to an ever-growing list.
A New Order presbyter claimed that a statue of Mary and a portrait of Christ, as well as his own rosary beads, seeped a rose-scented oil. To give his deception more credibility, he dragged in (of course) Fatima, saying that his rosary beads came from there.
The local Newchurch bishop set up an inquiry, which focused on a 60-centimetre statue of Mary. Almost immediately, the inquiry discovered "two fine holes in the statue" through which a "syringe could be used to introduce a liquid." The bishop said that he was still awaiting a report on how much money had been fraudulently raised by the presbyter through the sale of phony "religious artifacts."
Again, the wisdom of the words of St. John of the Cross ring in our ears: Stay away from visions, apparitions, and miracles as much as you can. Be careful of visions, even when they are authentic.
It was only after he had left office that U.S. President Ronald Reagan was revealed to have Alzheimer's Disease. Then, in hindsight, some of his strange aberrancies became explainable. In our time, we may be witnessing a pope day by day losing his mind. In hindsight, the pattern is becoming clearer.
The pope's Church of the New Order -- or New Pentecost, or New Springtime, or whatever he calls it today -- is falling down around his knees.
And now we have the "Sports Bum" pope, worshipping at the altar of what, for many people in the modern age, is the new god: the Great God of Sport. This new god comes with its altar (the playing field), its priests (the players), its congregation (the spectators), its hierarchy (the officials), and even its own theological vocabulary (sports-talk). Just drive by a sports stadium on a Sunday morning where a professional football team performs. From sunrise the trucks and vans are pulling off in great numbers into the parking lot to have their "tailgate parties." The football game doesn't even start until after one o'clock in the afternoon! Many of these people would probably claim to be Christians. Really! Are they keeping holy the Lord's Day?
A priest once said that a man had approached him saying, "You won't see me at Mass for several months, Father." The priest asked why not, thinking that the man might be going into hospital. "Football starts on TV next Sunday," he said." The priest replied, "I hope they have TV sets in Hell."
And now the New Vatican has played right into this irreligious attitude. On August 3 the New Vatican announced its latest initiative to restore the Catholic Faith in the world: it established a new "Department of Sport."
And what is the purpose of this department of the New Vatican? According to the announcement, it is to do a P.R. job on behalf of professional sports, which have been "marred by stadium violence, athletes' failing doping tests, and game-fixing inquiries." We have come a long way from Pope Pius XII, who quite properly condemned as immoral professional boxing and lethal high-speed car races. One wonders what he would have said about modern-day professional ice hockey, soccer, and football! Now his successor has done a 180-degree spin and become a pawn for the professional-sports machine.
And it gets worse than that. This is the pope's charge to the new department: "to foster a sports culture that promotes a vision of sports activity as a means of integral personal growth and as an instrument in the service of peace and brotherhood among peoples."
Has the pope gone mad? Are we to find our salvation now in greedy professional sports instead of Our Lord Jesus Christ? Let us rephrase that charge to what a real pope would say (it will take only two changes to make it Catholic): "to foster a Catholic culture that promotes a vision of Catholic activity as a means of integral personal growth and as an instrument to the service of peace and brotherhood among peoples."
Is JPII a pope -- or a frustrated soccer idol?
With the popes and the Saints, TRADITIO has consistently warned the faithful about an unCatholic fanaticism in visions and apparitions, presuming, in place of Catholic and Apostolic teaching and practice, to find a new basis of faith in private revelations prophecies, visions, and "signs and wonders." (We are not speaking here of a balanced Catholic private devotion.)
Our Lord warned of these: "It is not for you to know the times or moments, which the Father hath put in his own power" (Acts 1:7/DRV). St. John of the Cross, perhaps the Church's greatest mystic, warned: "The desire for private revelations deprives faith of its purity, develops a dangerous curiosity that becomes a source of illusions, fills the mind with vain fancies, and often proves the want of humility, and of submission to Our Lord, Who, through His public revelation, has given all that is needed for salvation. We must suspect those apparitions that lack dignity or proper reserve, and above all, those that are ridiculous. This last characteristic is a mark of human or diabolical machination. Stay away from visions, apparitions, and miracles as much as you can. Be careful of visions, even when they are authentic.
And now we understand why Our Lord and His Saints warned us of this folly. The Enemy can easy turn such things to the "dark side." We have seen the folly of such "visions" as Medjugorje, Bayside, and Maryland. We have seen Fatima itself turned into some kind of "oecumenical shrine," which would portrays as easily portray the Blessed Virgin Mary as a Hindu goddess.
And now we have an interesting development. It is reported that a new prayer card has been printed in Mexico to Our Lady of Guadalupe, thanking her for the right to have abortions!
The Church of the New Order has left the faithful ignorant of their Catholic Faith. Therefore, many have readily fallen into the most unCatholic fanaticisms, particularly those based around "visions and apparitions." For them, the "visions" become the Catholic Faith. They substitute for Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition. The seers become like pagan oracles, who spout the most unCatholic nonsense, and the faithful dance around the shrine like zombies.

The Church of the New Order just can't tolerate real Catholicism. Even when it grudgingly offers an "Indult" Mass, it always seems to take away with one hand what it gives with the other.
So here we have Adam Cardinal Maida who, like all the perverse Newchurch bishops of the United States, is strapped for funds. All those payoffs for immoralities are expensive, you see. He hates the True Mass, but he needs the money that he knows that "conservative" and "semi-traditional" Catholics will pour in if he offers them a "Tridentine" Mass -- a deceptive term used so that the True Mass is placed on the same footing as the fabricated "Mass of Paul VI."
So, Maida "authorizes" one -- count it -- one "Indult" Mass in one church in all of the Detroit archdiocese, as if he had the power to subvert the true worship of God. So completely has he violated the prescriptions of his own beloved Vatican II that he has no one in his archdiocese who can even speak Latin. So Maida's staff is recruiting presbyters and "either training or retraining them in Latin." [Detroit Free Press]
But now, here comes the clincher. These poor indultarians, who will accept the dog's crumbs dropped from the table of their master, Maida, will be accepting it under false pretenses. Said one presbyter:
The only thing that could spoil the venture at St. Josaphat is too much success. When the pope authorized bishops to allow this mass in 1984, the idea was that this was a pastoral response to older people who still are so attached to this older mass that they need it. The idea was never to create a new desire in people for this mass. It would be counterproductive if too many people turn this into a marketing strategy to fill churches. The idea behind allowing this mass was that it could help older people in the later stages of their lives. The hope is that this mass eventually will fade away.
Well, at least that's honest. Maida and his Minions have no love for the True Mass. They're wedded to the diabolical Protestant-Masonic-Pagan Novus Ordo service. They want to wipe the True Mass off the face of the earth, but they'll postpone that destruction until they can wrest donations by deceit from the pockets of the old foggies. How do we know that this is their intention? Their pastor said so. He made it a point to get a plug for contributions into the news release!
Wait a minute! Before you old foggies in Detroit line up to partake of Maida's Madness, you already have two independent churches, two SSPX churches, and one CMRI church in the Greater Detroit area, which offer the Traditional Latin Mass, the Sacraments, and the Catholic Faith. You don't have to settle for a counterfeit and be slapped in the face at the same time.
Doesn't it sometimes seem that the world is 180 degrees off? We have a self-proclaimed "Catholic" candidate who is at best Protestant, and a Methodist candidate who displays most of what it is a basic Catholic sense and virtues.
Compliments of the Weekly Standard, we have a description of the place where Kerry takes the Novus Ordo kookie, the Paulist Center of Boston. The church itself is spare, consisting of a medium-sized auditorium built in the Federalist tradition. The ceiling is high, and there are pews both on the ground floor and in the balcony. The altar in the front is tiny. Hanging in the space above it is the only artwork of note: a large, abstract sculpture of Christ, behind which hangs a tree trunk, in roughly the space of a cross.
There are no kneelers in the church, and the atmosphere is decidedly casual (of the hundred or so people at Mass on Sunday morning, only two men wear coat and tie). At times the Mass departs even from the Novus Ordo text (if one can even say that there is such a thing, as opposed to the extemporaneous "rap" that characterizes the Novus Ordo service). During the Nicene Creed, for example, the sections on believing in only "one Lord" and only "one holy Catholic and Apostolic Church" are excised from the prayer.
We really get a kick out of these semi-traditional Catholics who claim not to like the Novus Ordo service, but try to defend its validity and the validity of its kookie. Don't kid yourselves, folks. These Novus Ordinarians know full well that they are not Catholics and that they have not a Mass but a New Order Protestant-Masonic-Pagan service.
On the back of the Sunday bulletin, the Paulist Center carries ads, as most churches do. But whereas most churches have ads from local florists, funeral homes, hotels, and restaurants, the Paulist Center carries ads for the "Yoga of the Future." The biggest block of ads is from psychotherapists. More than a fifth of the ads in the Paulist Center bulletin are from "Jungian psychoanalysts" who offer counseling, "body psychotherapy," and even "dream interpretation."
The ideology which brings people to the Paulist Center is best explained by the Center's Mission Statement, which declares: "Attentive to the Holy Spirit, we are a Catholic community that welcomes all, liberates the voice of each, and goes forth to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ." Before Mess, this Mission Statement is projected, in large type, onto the wall above the altar, on either side of the statue of Christ. In its Vision Statement, the Center goes on to explain that it aspires to serve "those persons searching for a spiritual home and those who have been alienated from the Catholic Church."
The subtext here -- with talk of liberating voices and welcoming people alienated from those mean Catholic churches -- is that the Paulist Center is not Catholic, but Unitarian, a modernist heresy derived from the Arian heretics of the early Church, against whom, including its popes, St. Augustine and St. Ambrose railed.
So there you have it. John Kerry is a Unitarian posing as a Catholic. The last Catholic candidate, John Kennedy, was criticized by Protestants for his Catholicism, which was, at least in its externals, traditional. The latest "Catholic" candidate, John Kerry, is embraced by Protestants for his anti-Catholicism. Quite a 180-degree turn, isn't it?
The Church of the New Order, which has been denying Hell and sin for forty years, has apparently found it again -- now that its own ox is gored.
Five Christian churches in Iraq were attacked on August 1 during services, killing 11 and wounding more than 50 in the 750,000 Christian community. The explosions broke stained-glass windows and sent parishioners running into the streets, screaming and clutching their bleeding heads. They are being swamped amid a rising tide of radical (that is, true) Mohammedanism. [AP]
One Newchurch Brother Louis said, "Those people who commit these awful criminal acts have nothing to do with God. They will go to Hell." Oh, no, Brother. You've got it all wrong. You haven't been listening to the pope. He says that "we all worship the same God." And that God is so loving that you can commit no unrepented sin (what's that anyway to the New Order?) so evil as to cause the loss of Heaven.
Sonny, Versace, "Gwen," Hitler, Stalin, Mao -- everyone goes to Heaven these days, brother, except, of course, those horrible old "schismatic" traditional Catholics! Just another New Order lie that has boomeranged.
And, by the way, where is the pope in all of this? He seems to be so busy apologizing to the Protestants, the Jews, and the Mohammedans, that he doesn't have any voice left to speak out for those whose pope he claims to be.
Well, well. "Lawless Law," the infamous Bernard Cardinal Law, having been scuttled away from Boston because he (in all fairness, no different from the other U.S. bishops) pandered to the immoralities that are now seen to be gripping the Church of the New Order in the United States, has now turned up in Rome as the new fair-haired boy of JPII.
He will perform the "Snow" Mess at the Roman Basilica of St. Mary Major on August 5 in his new capacity as the papally-appointed Archpriest of that Basilica. To this sinecure of a job, he has been allocated a cushy apartment and $60,000 per annum pocket money. Not a bad deal. It seems once again that in this papacy, the way to get ahead is to do evil rather than good.
In this performance, he will be associated with the equally infamous Virgilio Cardinal Noe, the pope's former M.C., who was known for introducing "crazy Messes" [messes sauvages] into the pope's repertoire. Naturally, the Mess being a community thing without a real priest, but rather with a "presider" (presbyter), presbyters one and all are invited to "concelebrate" the Novus Ordo counterfeit service.
It is interesting that EWTN, the Novus Ordo cable network, which released this news, never once alluded to the original morality scandal that was caused by Law when he was in charge of Boston and the follow-up scandal when the pope used his usual bad judgment and appointed Law to his new cushy position.
Remember, it was JPII who personally appointed Law and his ilk, the U.S. Novus Ordo bishops. They are his creatures. JPII has been in his seat so long that virtually all the bishops appointed by his predecessors have died off. The time has come for him to stop apologizing to the Protestants, the Jews, the Mohammedans, and apologize to the faithful of the Roman Catholic Church, which he seems to have abandoned in practice, leaving it to be devoured by, as St. Peter calls it, leo rugiens circuit quaerens quem devoret [1 Peter 5:8/Vulgate].
A columnist for a Novus Ordo news service has written an expose on the "Life Teen" program that has taken over at so many Newchurch parishes. Here is a summary of her description of what goes on in Life Teen, and why it is not Catholic.
Life Teen is a movement that purports to bring the Novus Ordo service to teens, to evangelize them to the New Order, and to help them live the New Order religion. The movement is profoundly and fundamentally flawed because it does two things. First, it separates young persons at the most decisive stage of their lives from their families. Second, it panders to the teenager's inclination to live in a mentality of entertainment. Thus, the Life Teen services feature drums, synthesizers, rock music, group hugs, and emotional entertainment masked as liturgy. [CWN]
The columnist claims that in the history of the faith, one would never find a situation in parishes in which worship was restricted by age, nor would one find some members of the family taken apart from others on a regular basis. Actually, it was the Vatican II mentality that pushed the division of the Church into every conceivable category: age, language, race, national origin, and particularly language. We once had a "one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church." Vatican II exploded that reality for most Catholics.
We now have, by the deliberate design of the pope and the bishops, "mini-churches," not a "catholic" Church. The pope performs a different Mess everywhere he goes. In Australia, he smeared pitch on his face to ape the aboriginees. In India, he has cow dung applied to his head in imitation of the Hindus, etc.
It used to be that one's vernacular tongue didn't matter, because we were all Catholics in Latin. Now everyone has become a hyphenated "Catholic": a Latino-Catholic or a Gay-Catholic or a Teen-Catholic or some other subdivision. No one uses the term "Roman" Catholic any more, except for the newspapers (who don't know that the reality has changed) or the church ecclesiocrats when they want to counter traditional Catholics. Of course, it is the traditional Catholics who are "Roman Catholic." The Novus Ordinarians worship a different God and belong to a different Church, which they like to call the "Church of the New Pentecost," as they don't want to accept the real Pentecost, which is too confining for them.
Although the columnist didn't mention it, Life Teen is also deeply mired in the Charismatic heresy. Its leaders are the likes of Newchurch TV personality Scott Hahn, who panders a virulent Protestantism under the guise of Novus Ordo "Catholicism" and whose books a certain supposedly "conservative" Catholic press publishes. And this from a man who, just a few years ago, was calling the pope the whore of Babylon! Of such is Life Teen built.
Andrew Greeley is certainly one of the lowest of the New Order ilk around. He is a favorite of the secular media because he spouts Modernist ideas and couches them in sex-pot novels. Of course, his bishop doesn't do anything about it. The bishop probably gets pointers from Greeley's novels!
Yet Greeley has been known to let the truth slip from time to time. Here are the statistics that Greeley adduces in his new book to show the shipwreck of Vatican II in just the decade after the Council (1963-1974):
Attendance at Sunday Mass: DOWN - 70% to 50% Monthly Confession: DOWN - 38% to 17% Belief in Fornication: UP - 35% to 74% Belief in Artificial Contraception: UP - 23% to 54% Belief in the Priesthood: DOWN - 66% to 50%
Moreover, Greeley admits:
Now I understand that the Council fathers had gleefully poured new wine into old wineskins, and the wineskins had burst. Church leaders then denied that it was new wine or that the wineskins had burst, and finally they blamed everyone else for what had happened and made no attempt to fashion new wineskins. Many of them instead called for repairing the old ones.
In other words, the pope, the cardinals, and the bishops were liars and incompetents concerning Vatican II. Well, Greeley got that one right at least! Don't you just want to vomit when you continue to hear the New Order from the pope on down talking about the "New Springtime" and the "New Pentecost," while the Church is sinking into a morass of sacramental invalidity and immorality?
