William F. Buckley, Jr., a well-known conservative leader and founder of the influential conservative journal, National Review, died on February 27, 2008. Few now probably know that he was one of the original resisters of the Novus Ordo, a position that he developed on his television series, Firing Line, which debuted in 1966, a year after Vatican II ended. Unfortunately, like so many in the Traditional Catholic Movement, Buckley lost his original courage and ended up selling out the Novus Ordo that he knew full well was a phony Mass and religion. He will undoubtedly be buried under the auspices of the New Order. William Buckley knew better.
Buckley hosted several guests who were opposed to the Novus Ordo, like James Hitchcock, who went on in 1975 to found the Latin Liturgy Association. Hitchcock too sold out to the Novus Ordo, as the LLA embraced both the Traditional Latin Mass and the invalid Novus Ordo Latin Mess as equals. Hitchcock admitted to the press: "I and my family usually attend our home [Novus Ordo] parish. I believe one should support one's [Novus Ordo] parish, so we only occasionally go to the "Indult" Mass. Meanwhile, his LLA was proclaiming: "We don't oppose Mass [sic] in the vernacular." James Hitchcock knew better.
Buckley also associated with the once Catholic "elite" in New York, reminiscent of the disturbed English Catholic Flyte-Marchmain family in Evelyn Waugh's Brideshead Revisited. Prof. William Marra (1928-1998) was another member of this coterie, who also preached traditional Catholicism while making friends with the Novus Ordo that was even then destroying it. William Marra knew better.
Another member of the coterie, though at greater distance, was Prof. Dietrich von Hildebrand (1889-1977), who wrote such devastating critiques of the Novus Ordo as Trojan Horse in the City of God (1967) and Devastated Vineyard (1973). The attack of Von Hildebrand, who was publicly commended as a leading Catholic philosopher by Pope Pius XII, against the Novus Ordo was a particularly damaging attack against Hannibal Bugnini's "New Liturgy," second only to that of Cardinals Bacci and Ottaviani in 1968. Dietrich von Hildebrand knew better.
Good Catholics, it is clear what the failing of our age is. It is not that we don't know the truth. It is that too many of us don't have the virtue of fortitude of our Catholic predecessors. Like the Jewish leaders whom Our Lord condemned as hypocrites in His time, those who claim to be traditional Catholic leaders today have sold out to the very temptations from Satan that Our Lord resisted.
Therefore, we need to appreciate more than ever the heroic virtue of such leaders of the Traditional Catholic Movement as Fr. Gommar DePauw and Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, who stood up against the Church of the New Order and courageously denounced it for the parody of Catholicism that it is. These men are unlike the current sellouts who, instead of condemning the evil of the Novus Ordo, want to make friends with it, to seek its corrupt "approval" and acceptance.
It is all to easy to lose courage and to flag after years of battle. But, as history shows, it is those who persist to the end who win. We must remember St. Paul's Apostolic injunction: "Therefore, brethren, stand fast: and hold the traditions that you have learned." That is our Catholic charge; that is our Apostolic challenge: not to sell out to the Novus Ordo, but uncompromising to demand 100% Catholicism -- in the Mass and Sacraments, in doctrine, and in morality.
It seems that at least one of the SSPX bishops has the guts to follow the principles and wisdom of the Society's courageous founder, Archbishop Lefebvre, instead of the pusillanimous posturings of current Superior General Bernie Fellay.
On February 23, 2008, Bishop Richard Williamson, currently rector of the SSPX's seminary in Argentine, issued a scathing public attack -- well deserved and long overdue, we might say -- on Benedict-Ratzinger for his sell-out of the Christian Faith with the new Good Friday Prayer for the Jews decreed for the "Motu" Mess. The first paragraph of Williamson's release hits the bullseye and agrees with what the TRADITIO Network has stated from the beginning:
Most people seeing how Pope Benedict XVI has changed the Church’s Good Friday prayer for the Jews will think he has been their friend, because the change was in a direction demanded by spokesmen of theirs, who made themselves heard. However, for any Catholic who has the Catholic Faith, Benedict XVI has been in this not their friend but their enemy.
Bishop Williamson has certainly trumped Benedict-Ratzinger in the Catholic department when he points out how Newpope has been lethal to the spiritual salvation of the Jews by making them think that they are perfectly free to deny Jesus Christ as their Messias and seek another. Bishop Williamson, with true charity, states the Catholic position in his release:
He [Benedict-Ratzinger] has softened the Church's solemn criticism of their [the unbelieving Jews'] condition. On the other hand, by the same softening he will also have diminished Catholics' awareness of how especially Jews need the charity of Catholics’ prayers. For indeed from Adam to world’s end, faith in the one and only Redeemer, to come or having come, can alone save any soul from eternal damnation, unless that soul lives without serious sin and is honestly ignorant of the Redeemer
Bishop Willliamson concludes with the crowning blow to Benedict-Ratzinger's implicit denial of Catholic teaching:
Therefore the recent Good Friday liturgy change, by diminishing Catholics’ awareness of that real "veil," etc, has done a disservice to Jews’ eternal salvation. In this respect of the Catholic Faith, Benedict XVI has, objectively, shown himself to be against the Jews purely as Jews. Is there any other possible true definition of the expression "anti-Semite"?
Bishop Williamson's "mini-encyclical" of just five paragraphs is the most direct, clear, Catholic, and truly charitable statement of Catholic doctrine that we have seen in quite a long time. It puts Benedict-Ratzinger's confused and unCatholic encyclical letters to shame. What a difference it would make to the Society of St. Pius X if such a gutsy prelate, in the tradition of the courageous Marcel Lefebvre, headed the Society instead of the Novus Ordo sycophant who heads the Society now. Mirable dictu, if Williamson were this good in other areas, what a candidate he would be to head the restored Roman Catholic Church!
A study released February 25, 2008, by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, the largest and most-respected statistical organization on religious trends, confirmed the TRADITIO Network's reports that Newchurch has lost more members than any sect because of transfer to other sects. The survey, unusual for its scope, relying on interviews with more than 35,000 adults, reported that while nearly one in three Americans were raised in Newchurch, fewer than one in four former Newchurchers say that they are members of the sect today.
The spokesman for the Newchurch Primate of England and Wales, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Conner, has been charged before England's High Court with rushing two women into abortions. The mother of one of the women, who was out of the country at the time, returned to discover the "horrifying" news. The spokesman is charged with failing to support his fornicatrix, and a second one as well, when they became pregnant, and then he put them in a position where they felt that they had no choice but procure abortions.
The mother of the first fornicatrix claimed that she had repeatedly tried to get Murphy-O'Conner's spokesman to make a firm commitment to provide for the child, a requirement of Catholic morality in justice. "Every time I asked him a straight question, he came up with an evasive answer," she said. She claimed that the spokesman cast her daughter aside after having fornicated with her because he wanted to be able to carry on with his masters-degree program and have the career in Newchurch that he wanted.
Now the Newcardinal's spokesman has been complicit in the killing of two children and has lost his job in Newchurch as well. What else could Murphy-O'Connor do when the corruption of his chancery became public?
Mexico's SSPX Prior, Fr. Basilio Merano, who is resident at the Chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Orizaba, Mexico, has publicly rejected SSPX Superior General Bernie Fellay's embrace of Benedict-Ratzinger's "Motu" Mess and has agreed with the TRADITIO Network that the "Motu" is a hoax on the part of Benedict-Ratzinger to undermine the Traditional Catholic Movement. Merano has previously taken public positions against Fellay's pro-New Order positions. Fr. Merano published on December 13, 2007, a document to his congregation on the Benedict-Ratzinger's "Motu" Mess, which we reproduce here in its entirety.
Under the Appearance of Good, the Devil Poses as an Angel of Light
Fr. Basilio Meramo, SSPX Prior of Mexico
December 13, 2007
Sacred Scripture warns us that Satan often transforms himself into an Angel of Light (2 Corinthians 11:14), that is, as an apparent good, to seduce the faithful. "For the Devil, as a roaring lion, goeth about seeking whom he may devour" (2 Peter 5:8). For this reason, St. Peter exhorts us to be sober and watchful.
Many, if not the great majority, of the defenders of the Traditional Mass and doctrine have seen the Motu Proprio of Benedict XVI as a great good, in that it recognized that the Traditional Latin Mass was never abrogated. This "recognition" is seen by those holding this "optimistic" view as something like a piece of parched land that would welcome a gently-falling rain after a long drought. And, even more, we see how they are so overcome with gratitude that they are forecasting the most promising vistas for a happy future, of verdant greenery and bright and beautiful blossoms.
But if we analyze the facts dispassionately and in the steady, clear light of the Faith, we see that the beautiful scenery vanishes before our eyes, like the vain and dangerous mirage-like illusion that it is. Nothing could be better or more perspicacious than to recognize as true that the Traditional Mass was never legally abrogated, although it was suppressed in a manner that was an abuse of power, as Archbishop Lefebvre and traditional Catholics have always maintained.
Therefore, the declaration by Benedict XVI affirming that the true Mass was never abolished appears, at first sight, to be a victory. However, after closer examination of the declaration, one perceives both the subtlety and the intelligence of this action. Benedict XVI is attempting by an audacious and effective way to accomplish his most profound and desired goal according to his Modernistic mindset, so that many critics of Modernism have not been able to appreciate fully the vastness of his aims or the subtlety of his strategy.
Benedict XVI, who has a keen and penetrating intellect, intends to legitimize the New Mass by attempting to portray it as a legitimate and faithful development of the ancient Roman rite. To be successful, he had to heal the rupture created by the attempted suppression of the Traditional Mass, first by denying that the Traditional Mass had been abolished. For the Traditional Mass was the faithful expression of the ancient Roman Mass, both in its historical development and in its dogmatic content, promulgated in perpetuity.
Historically, it could not be affirmed that a schismatic break had taken place in the development of the rite, as Joseph Ratzinger declared in his autobiography. But this is in fact what had been declared had happened when the New Mass was introduced, so it was necessary to repair the breach. The second great event that occurred at the beginning of my years at Ratisbon was the publication of the Missal of Paul VI, with the almost total prohibition of the Traditional Missal. But I was perplexed by the prohibition of the Traditional Missal, for nothing similar had ever occurred in the history of the liturgy. One cannot speak of a prohibition of the older and, until then, legitimately valid Missal, whose development through the centuries can be traced back all the way to the Sacramentaries of the early Church. This brought about a break in the history of the liturgy, whose consequences could be only tragic (Joseph Ratzinger, Mi Vida, ed. Encuentro, Madrid, 2005, pp. 148-149).
We can see then that, for Cardinal Ratzinger, the historical break cannot be legitimately defended, and this rupture had to be healed, especially given his plan to portray the New Mass as a legitimate continuation and development of the Traditional Missal and as an authentic expression of the Roman Rite of the Mass. With his dialectic, oecumenist mind, he could perceive that it could not be affirmed that the New Missal was a legitimate development of the Roman Rite, if on the other hand it was affirmed that the Traditional Missal was not.
Therefore, if both Missals are legitimate developments of the ancient Roman Rite, then it is incoherent to affirm that the Traditional Missal is prohibited or has been abolished, especially if one wants to pass off the New Mass, described by Archbishop Lefebvre as a Protestantized and bastard rite, as an equally legitimate development and expression of the ancient Roman Rite, as the Traditional Rite indeed was. Which brings us to the ultimate aim of Benedict XVI.
The attempt to reconcile the New Mass with the Traditional Mass is the first step in his plan to bring about a reconciliation between the teachings of Vatican II and the True Faith. He cannot permit a rupture or separation to remain, which would impede his dialectic synthesis, for, as he declared when he was Cardinal Ratzinger: "For the life of the Church, it is dramatically urgent that a renewal of the liturgical conscience take place that will recognize once again the unity of the history of the liturgy and will understand Vatican II not as a rupture, but as a moment of development" (ibidem). It now becomes clearly manifested what was the real motivation behind the recognition of the fact that the Traditional Missal was never abrogated. It is s the well-known one step backward/two steps forward strategy.
It would be naïve to think that Benedict XVI has taken these measures because he is moving closer to the Traditional Mass and the True Faith. For according to his own words, the aim of these measures is the consolidation and legitimization of the New Mass and of Vatican II. He is attempting this not through brutal and dramatic measures that break with the past, but by using the method of a subtle and gradual evolution [as "Fr." Ratzinger did at Vatican II], he hopes to reconcile and convince all of the opponents of Vatican II and of the New Mass of their legitimacy.
Benedict XVI is proceeding gently, yet firmly, to establish that the New Mass and Vatican II do not constitute a break with the past, either liturgically or doctrinally, but rather that they are the fruit of an organic growth and development within the Church and must be accepted by all of the faithful. Therefore, the Traditional Mass is the expression of an historical past, and the New Mass is the faithful expression of the vital present and the promise of an even more glorious future.
One cannot conceive of a more subtle, clever, and intelligent maneuver that clearly intends to eliminate the forces that compose the Catholic resistance to the innovations and that defend the Traditional Mass and doctrines of the Catholic Church. This elimination is to take place without any dramatic clashes or brutal confrontations, as was attempted in the past, but rather with a warm oecumenical embrace, which will not leave behind any rotting corpses that could mar the irenic and bucolic scenery. This is not how one proceeds in our democratic age, for now we destroy by dialectic substitution.
Good Catholics, this is some of the most penetrating analysis from an SSPX representative of the real modus operandi of Benedict-Ratzinger, Modernist at Vatican II, Modernist now, who has by a deft hoax taken in many Newchurch conservatives and semi-traditionalists. Fr. Merano, however, has not been taken in. Too bad for the Society of St. Pius X that his superior, Bernie Fellay, has been taken in.
The TRADITIO Network has always called the cesspool in which Newchurch finds itself the "Great Sex & Embezzlement Scandal." Whereas the secular press likes to dwell on the juicy sexual side of the scandal, we have, in many ways, found the embezzlement side of the scandal morally worse. Prelates and presbyters of Newchurch have literally been stealing money from the poor-box and from their own parishioners with abandon. Any Newchurcher who puts even one penny into the Newchurch collection should have his head examined!
On February 21, 2008, Rodney Rodis, a Newchurch presbyter, was sentenced to over five years, the maximum punishment, in prison for stealing $591,000 from his parish collection plate. Rodis was a fornicator, who shacked up with a woman and had illegitimate children by her, all on the parish's "tab." He also stole money from his parishioners to send back to relatives in the Philippines to buy real estate for him.
Rodis pled guilty to mail fraud and money-laundering in the theft of more than $600,000 in donations from St. Jude and Immaculate Conception Newparishes in Virginia's Louisa County between 2002 and 2006. After his prison term, Rodis faces deportation back to the Philippines.
The judge meted out full justice to the Newchurch presbyter, who to the contrary had dared to ask for leniency. Said one of the parishioners: "He did this for five years, systematically, and in a very organized way."
What is the postmen's motto? Neither rain nor snow nor sleet will keep them from their appointed rounds? It is certainly true of the Newchurch bishops that nothing will turn them away from their Modernist agenda, no matter how many times they are battered. (This is why the outcry of the "neo-cons" is fruitless.)
A case in point: Benedict-Ratzinger's personal appointee as Newchurch archbishop of San Francisco, George Niederauer, a well-known homophile, after Newpope whisked off the city's former archbishop, William Levada, to Newrome to shield him from charges of sex crimes under his administration. Niederauer was battered a few months ago for simulating a "Gay" Mess in San Francisco's "Gay" parish, Most Holy Redeemer. He also blessed the parish's float in the city's "Gay" Parade.
Of course, Newchurch bishops have been sponsoring "Gay" Messes in San Francisco for years. The thing that made this case different is that someone sneaked in to take photos of Niederauer handing out the Novus Ordo cookie to two Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, an anti-Catholic organization, whose members dress in Gothic regalia with painted faces. There, in full color, was Benedict-Ratzinger's own Niederauer personally communicating the transvestites. Even in the San Francisco Bay Area there was enough outcry that Niederauer was pilloried on national television.
One thing we know about Benedict-Ratzinger's Newchurch: he and his bishop-lieutenants are committed to Modernism, come Hell or high water. Niederauer learned nothing from the previous incident. He is a committed homophile, whom San Francisco's "gay" community unanimously hails as one of them. His latest entree into immorality was his sponsorship at the parish of the gay-oriented 42nd Annual Gay Motorcycle and Leather Community Awards on February 18, 2008. The event was sponsored by the Bears of San Francisco (this is not a zoological society!), San Francisco Dykes on Bikes (this is not a society for the preservation of Dutch dams!), the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Dignity, and other immoral ilk supported by Niederaurer. The groups "take a stand for the sacredness of our leather sexuality and explores practical ways of integrating sexuality and spirituality. Not a few expected Benedict-Ratzinger's appointee, archbishop Niederauer to show up in leather himself to "explore" some of these "ways"!
Among the recipient’s of this year’s Motorcycle and Leather Community Awards was the drag-queen performer, Donna Sachet, who received the "Entertainer of the Year" Award. Sachet was "Miss Gay San Francisco" and was granted "sainthood" by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence in 2004. (Well, given the quality of JPII's "saints," perhaps they fit in well with Newchurch.) [Source: CCD]
Good Catholics, any notion that Benedict-Ratzinger and his lieutenants are conservative, let alone traditional, is nonsense. Any true Catholic would be outraged at this continuing immorality, which Benedict-Ratzinger's papacy supports. The neo-cons can send their faxes and petitions to Newrome, but Benedict-Ratzinger will never utter a word of criticism against ilk like Niederauer. After all, he appointed the man personally. That should tell you all you need to know about the morality of Benedict-Ratzinger himself. You can just hear Our Lord Jesus Christ saying to Benedict-Ratzinger as He said to an errant Peter: "Go behind me, Satan: thou art a scandal unto me, because thou savourest not the tings that are of God, but the things that are of men" (Matthew 16:23/DRV).
U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts, a Newchurcher, has received the award of a USA Rabbinical Assembly, which adopted a resolution thanking Newchurch for changing its dogma (!) on Biblical Christianity. The resolution recognized that Newchurch has adopted the (heretical) positions that:
These positions of Newchurch are patently contrary to the teaching of St. Paul, St. John, and other Apostles (all Jews themselves, after all) in the New Testament and splits Newchurch from Christianity in general. Newchurch has become as kooky as Seventh-Day Adventism or Mormonism!
Newchurch bishop Howard Hubbard, of Albany, New York, has admitted dwindling attendance at Novus Ordo services and a shortage of presbyters to simulate the unCatholic service imposed after Vatican II. As a result, two years ago he initiated a "restructuring" initiative, "Called to Be Church." The problem is that those called are not answering!
"Restructuring" is a code-word for shutting down. Reports are that up to sixty Novus Ordo temples may be closed in Albany. It seems that the intention of the leaders at Vatican II may have been to shut down the Catholic Church itself. Surely the New Order Mess, doctrine, and morality have driven almost 90% of Catholics out of the Church in just forty years. Vatican II couldn't have planned it better if it in fact did wish to destroy the Church.
Hubbard is also talking about scaling down care and services to the elderly and sick. Formerly Catholic hospitals are passe in Newchurch in the United States; hospitals are staffed by laypeople, not nuns. Under Hubbard's administration since 1977, more than one-third of the presbyters are gone. By 2015, almost two-thirds of them are expected to be gone.
In less than ten years, the Newchurch dioceses will become Protestantized, with few presbyters, let alone priests. The few remaining parishes will be run by lay deacons, catechetical leaders, youth ministers, and other ministers, just as the Protestant sects are. [Source: Daily Gazette]
Some Newchurchers are up in arms because the face of Mexican golfer Lorena Ochoa was placed on an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in the latest issue of Colorado AvidGolfer Magazine. At first blush, this might seem outrageously blasphemous. But take a moment to think how it came about.
The Mexicans have abandoned the Catholic Faith in droves. The statistics are undeniable that since Vatican II very few are traditional Catholics. Many of them have gone over the Protestant-Masonic-Pagan New Order, but even more of them have joined "kookier" sects like Seventh Day Adventists, Mormons, and Fundamentalists/Evangelicals. Abortion is rampant in Mexico now.
One can see the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe all over in Mexico and the Mexican districts of the United States. It has become really nothing more than a gang monicker. And it is for this reason that Mexicans (and others) in increasing numbers are routinely violating the Fifth Commandment by tattooing their bodies with this image, a practice condemned in Sacred Scripture as pagan. Under the traditional Church, Mexico seemed to be a very Catholic country. Now it has returned to its pagan roots, which included rampant human sacrifice by the Aztecs and Mayans.
Good Catholics, remember the words of the aphorism: Ut Roma cadit, sic omnis terra [As Rome falls, so the entire world].
Conservative Newchurchers have sold out to the New Order to get the "approval" of that corrupt organization, but now Mephistopheles' tail has whipped around to sting them. Michael Jones, a "conservative" Newchurcher, who has previously condemned traditional Catholics not kowtowing to the Modernism of JPII and Benedict-Ratzinger, has been banned from speaking at the Catholic [Sic] University of America in the United States.
The University cancelled his lecture series on February 18, 2008, after learning that he had been labeled an "anti-Semite" by the Southern Poverty Law Center. The first lecture in the series was already in progress when the SPLC's Intelligence Project called the University's Office of Public Affairs. SPLC is a well-funded anti-Catholic group that calls non-Vatican II Christians "anti-Semites."
The Newchurcher Jones tried to argue that he was "Catholic" and not anti-Semitic, but the University would have none of it. He is a persona non grata. Jones is now turning for support to the very traditional Catholics that he has in the past called "heretics" and "schismatics" in his bulletin, Catholic Answers. No thanks, Michael. You are now facing the consequences of your unjust attacks on traditional Catholics. You will get no support from them -- or Newchurch.
I have presented an analysis of the ramifications of the imbroglio in which Benedict-Ratzinger is now involved because of his tampering with the ancient Good Friday prayer for the Jews. This analysis is developed in a new article that I have written exclusively for TRADITIO readers. For further information, click on Could the Good Friday Imbroglio Be the Downfall of Benedict-Ratzinger? in the TRADITIO Network's Special Features department.
A judge in southern Chile on February 13, 2008, sentenced a Newchurch presbyter to recite the Seven Penitential Psalms daily for three months as a punishment for parking illegally in front of a school, after the presbyter claimed that he did not have the $100 fine. The judge noted that this was the same penalty that was imposed on Galileo Galilei.
Contrary to all the anti-Catholic propaganda that one hears these days, Galileo was never "condemned." He published as doctrine what he had sworn under oath to publish as theory. In fact, Galileo was wrong on the specific question, and the Church, in the person of Robert Cardinal Bellarmine, his friend and supporter, was right: the tides do not prove heliocentricity. For forswearing his oath, he was given the public penance of reciting the Seven Penitential Psalms once a week for three years. This was, in fact, what Galileo, as a good Catholic, was doing already as part of his devotional practices!
Galileo spent not even one single day in prison, nor did he suffer any physical penalty. He was housed in Rome in elegant apartments with a personal servant. Thereafter, he resided for a time in the palace (which his daughter described as "so delightful") of the Archbishop of Siena, a supporter. He was never prohibited from continuing his work and studies, and was never barred from receiving visitors. In other words, Galileo was indulged as a guest of honor. He died at the age of 78 in his own bed, with the plenary indulgence and blessing of the pope. [Source: CNA]
For further information, click on FAQ10: How Do You Explain These Traditional Catholic Beliefs? in the TRADITIO Network's Library of Files (FAQs and Traditional Apologetics) in the section, "Galileo." In fact, the recitation of the Seven Penitential Psalms is a traditional Lenten practice that any Catholic would do well to follow. These Psalms are (in the traditional Vulgate numbering):
A new book released on February 11, 2008, is already causing quite a stir in Newchurch circles. It bears the imprimatur of the Chairman of the Investigation Committee, Frank Keating, appointed in 2002 by the U.S. Conference of Catholic [sic] Bishops. The book, entitled The Faithful Departed: The Collapse of Boston's Catholic Culture, lays the blame for the collapse of the Church around the time of Vatican II (1962-1965) directly upon the Newchurch bishops.
Frank Keating had an impeccable record. He served for eight years as the Republican governor of Oklahoma, before which he served as a justice on the U.S. Court of Appeals, and, in the U.S. Department of Justice, oversaw the operations of law-enforcement agencies and all 94 U.S. Attorneys. As an FBI agent, he had specialized in the prosecution of organized crime.
The Newchurch bishops highly praised Keating when they appointed him. But he turned the tables on them. He was too honest. His investigations showed that the USCCB was acting like the Mafia in covering up crimes on this part of its own members and its presbyters. In fact, he was so scandalized by the actions of the Newchurch bishops that he issued a public statement, saying of Newchurch that it is "a Mafia, a criminal organization, not my Church." He said that its operations are "as secretive as a crime family."
The Newchurch bishops expected Keating to give them a whitewash. Instead, he told the truth. Then the most corrupt of the U.S. bishops, Roger "Rogue" Mahony, of Los Angeles, forced his resignation. The USCCB is not interested in investigating and rooting out the clergy criminals from their midst, but merely doing damage control propaganda. After firing Keating, the bishops raised Anne Burke, a Justice of the Illinois Appeal Court, to the chairmanship, expecting her, at least, to give them a whitewash. Instead, she shocked them all when she publicly agreed with Keating's assessment that the U.S. Newchurch bishops were no better than Mafia crime bosses.
In 2002, Mahony was targeted under the federal Racketeer Influenced Organizations (RICO) Act as a "co-conspirator in the criminal enterprise," in which the USCCB as a whole was also named. The 38-page complaint charged that Mahony and his henchmen "joined in a conspiracy" to conceal crimes, obstruct justice, evade criminal or civil prosecution, and engage in mail or wire fraud, among other things.
The new book tells the story of a Church that until the mid 20th century advanced a culture of morality and excellence, but starting around the period of Vatican II had turned into "a wall of indifference, amorality, and hostility to orthodoxy." The book documents that the Modernism introduced at Vatican II set off a secularization of formerly Catholic universities, introduced feminism and talk of priestesses, and softened the traditional Catholic stance on homosexuality and abortion. Boston became the model for the rest of the country, which equally sunk into an unCatholic immorality.
The author places the blame squarely on the laps of the Newchurch bishops, who are "more interested in their public image and meeting the mortgage payments, than the safety of souls." The ongoing Great Sex & Embezzlement Scandal was neither the cause nor the beginning of Newchurch's decline. It was the unCatholic, even criminal, mindset of Newchurch bishops generated at Vatican II. And these are the same bishops still kept in power by their Chief Bishop, Benedict-Ratzinger. Nothing has changed.
The SSPX's Superior General Bernie Fellay has come face to face with the consequences of his Janus-faced mindset. Previously, he decreed that all SSPX priests must sing Hosannas to Benedict-Ratzinger for his "Motu" Mess. Now he is calling him a "deceiver." Well, which is it, Bernie?
"Do not do this," he says, referring to SSPXers requesting the "Motu" Mess from their Newchurch dioceses, "or you will find yourself in an impossible situation. On the other hand if you know a priest [sic] who has a real desire to say the Mass of all time, then do support him, invite him, and if you know other faithful who could be interested, urge them and support them." Well, which is it, Bernie?
"Obviously, this [the "Motu" Mess] raises all sorts of problems, because normally there is only one rite." But he goes on to say, "We must not allow ourselves to be deceived" by Benedict-Ratzinger and his New Order. Well, which is it, Bernie? [Source: Christendom]
Good Catholics, it is quite obvious that Bernie Fellay is on the horns of a dilemma. Many of his members and the other three SSPX bishops think that the "Motu" Mess is essentially a trap, intended to split the Traditional Catholic Movement. But Fellay attempted a rapprochement with the Benedictine "fox" at his Beheading Meeting on August 28, 2005, and now he has been emasculated from taking the strong position that his founder, Archbishop Lefebvre, took against Card. Ratzinger and his New Order.
[We just received this report from an SSPXer who returned from Fellay's latest "conference" at Ridgefield, Connecticut, on February 17, 2008. We are honoring her request that her name not be used because she is afraid of retaliation from Fellay, which has been visited upon other SSPXers who have not towed Fellay's party line.]
I just came back from the conference with Bishop Fellay. He emphatically said that the ancient prayer for the Jews on Good Friday will not be changed in SSPX chapels. But for the rest of the conference he babbled on about Vatican II and its so-called tricky language. I don't trust him. I think we are getting set up. Perhaps he is a mole for the Novus Ordo.
The TRADITIO Network has secured from the Service International de Documentation Judéo-Crétienne a little-known, one might say almost say "secret," document from the President of Benedict-Ratzinger's Pontifical Commission for Religious Relations with the Jews, Newcardinal Walter Kasper.
The document, dated February 13, 2008, is addressed to Chief Rabbi David Rosen. In it, Kasper tells Rosen that Benedict-Ratzinger has rewritten the Good Friday Prayer for the Jews so that it "no longer speaks about the conversion of the Jews." Benedict-Ratzinger, in his new prayer, "lays all in the hands of God, not in ours." Kasper goes on to say that "there is nothing about missionary activities, by which we take Israel's salvation in our hands." Benedict-Ratzinger, like Pontius Pilate, washes his hands of his responsibility and that of the Catholic Church to bring all men, including Jews, to Christ as the Messias.
Good Catholics, after this official statement of his own spokesman, it is hard to deny that Benedict-Ratzinger has spurned the teaching of Sacred Scripture, particularly St. Paul, that the Old Covenant ended with the crucifixion of Christ and that the Jews are called to embrace Jesus Christ as their Messias, as did Peter, James, John, Mary, Mary Magdalene, Joseph of Arimathea, and a small portion of the Jews. This is not even a matter only of Catholicism, but of Christianity as a whole. One has to wonder whether Benedict-Ratzinger's two strokes and his concussion have rendered him senseless, from any Catholic perspective.
What do you think about this petition led by a semi-traditionalist periodical to support Benedict-Ratzinger's changing of the ancient, traditional Good Friday prayer for the Jews? I myself wrote to the editor of that semi-traditionalist publication stating that I am using all my influence to oppose his petition.
All the arguments presented in favor of the bowdlerized prayer are secondary to the fact that this sets an unacceptable precedent. Never before in the history of the Church has a pope altered the Holy Roman Liturgy as a direct response to the complaints of infidels, particularly those who, for their part, calumniate Our Lord in their own "holy book." The content of the new prayer is not the issue; the issue is the precedent this sets.
The Fathers Reply.
Yes, it is quite ludicrous, if you think about it. Why should Benedict-Ratzinger be supported for violating his own "Motu" Mess in just seven months by gutting the traditional prayer, and why should any traditional Catholic support him for it? What's next? Altar-girls at his "Motu" Mess? An optional Bugnini "Presto" Canon?
The Good Friday rite is the most ancient rite in the traditional Missale Romanum, including even several prayers in Greek. If they are so eager to toss that, why don't these closet Novus Ordinarians go over outright to the Protestant-Masonic-Pagan Novus Ordo service, which, after all, is the service that Benedict-Ratzinger himself uses, complete with Hannibal Bugnini's "Presto" Canon?
No truly traditional Catholic could support this craven petition. The criticism against Benedict-Ratzinger for this unCatholic action is justified. He is getting his due comeuppance from the Jewish leaders because even a Modernist like Benedict-Ratzinger should have known that the Jewish leaders were never going to be satisfied with the new prayer. He should have left the traditional form alone.
We used to think that Benedict-Ratzinger was a crafty fox. We're beginning to wonder now. Unless his goal is to split the Traditional Catholic Movement, maybe he's just dense. If he gets burned badly enough on this, he might wise up, but we doubt it. He is just too much a pawn of the Modernist mentality: change, change, change, even when the change is unCatholic -- and asinine to boot!
I can't for the life of me fathom what the hoopla that's arisen over the Good Friday Prayer for the Jews is all about. Firstly, I agree wholeheartedly with your position that the pope's action to modify the prayer in the "Motu" Mess, even though retaining in essence the concept that the Jews still need to accept Christ, is totally craven and a sop to Modernists, liberalists, and others antithetical to the Church.
Secondly, the original prayer, which was in fact modified by John XXIII in 1959 from the ancient version, was praised to the hilt by no less than the Anti-defamation League's Chief Bigot himself, Abraham Foxman. In point of fact, John XXIII's action, though he may have thought it well-intentioned, was ill-conceived, in that the term perfidis [faithless] actually made a clear distinction between those Jews who remained faithful to Our Lord and the bulk who rejected him. Removing this term removed the distinction and could well be interpreted to mean that all Jews have a "veil of blindness" covering them, not just the majority who, in fact, remain faithless. An exercise in semantics, perhaps, but nonetheless the clear outcome of what happens when Newchurch feels compelled to accept "Political Correctness" as the norm of action, rather than sound doctrine and solid principle, which it just can't abide.
When was Our Lord ever concerned about "Political Correctness"? Never. Nor were the early Martyrs, who risked far more than just being branded "politically incorrect" and "intolerant." How, then, is the supposed Vicar of Our Lord so morally bankrupt and bereft of any honor at all, that he is too frightened to stand up to the slightest public derision or media scorn?
Has Benedict-Ratzinger ever considered what an utter mockery it makes of Our Lord, His Holy Apostles, the Fathers, and the Martyrs, when he succumbs to outside pressure and seeks to make his accommodation with the "New World Order" (Novus Ordo Seclorum), all for the sake of being thought politically correct? Evidently, the praise of men means far more to this "whited sepulchres" than the honor of God.
A "Motu" presbyter talking-head, who has appeared out of nowhere in just the last few months, has surprised Motarians by claiming that Newrome's Ecclesia Dei Commission is forming "semiarians." Arianism and Semiarianism, of course, are heresies of the early Church, which many bishops and even a pope held, that denied the divinity of Christ. It is alive today enshrouded in the heresy of Modernism.
Actually, it seems that this presbyter, who swears that he is actually faithful to Benedict-Ratzinger, doesn't know his seminarians from his semiarians, although the term was used twice in his "blog." Yet he has, probably inadvertently, hit the nail on the head. Newrome is training a bunch of heretics in its New Order seminaries when, that is, it can fit heresy in between the courses in sex crimes and homosexuality!
We have commented before on all these johnny-come-lately semi-traditional "bloggers." Where were they when Fr. Gommar DePauw was standing up against Vatican II and founding the Catholic Traditionalist Movement? Where were they when P.H. Omlor was courageously denying the validity of the Novus Ordo service in his book, Questioning the Validity of the New, All-English Canon? Where were they when Professor Dietrich von Hildebrand was calling the Novus Ordo service was A Trojan Horse in the City of God? Where were they when Fr. James Wathen was publishing his devastating Great Sacrilege, arguing that the Novus Ordo service had no legal standing in Catholicism? Where were they when Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre founded the Society of St. Pius X to resist the Novus Ordo religion worldwide? Running from the good fight, apparently.
Gary has every right to distrust the SSPX leaders and the same right to wonder why his fellow parishioners are so worried about what others are doing in the Newchurch diocese, but if he's starting to question the validity of the Novus Ordo ordination and consecration rites, then he also must say that Benedict-Ratzinger is not a true pope, and that's an opinion you all have always said, at least in the most basic form, that you reject.
The Fathers Reply.
It sounds as if you are an SSPX member and have therefore probably been heavily exposed to the recent SSPX propaganda that, under the Fellay regime, leans toward an accommodation with the New Order.
First of all, be aware that this accommodating view of the New Order was not the attitude of your Society's founder, Archbishop Lefebvre, who knew Joseph Ratzinger far more intimately than Fellay does. It would, therefore, behoove you to acquaint yourself with the opinions and statements of your Society's founder, particularly from the period 1988-1991. Much of this information has been removed from the SSPX web sites because it is not politic to the accommodating attitude of the Fellay regime toward the New Order, but it is available in past issues of the Society's and the Archbishop's publications.
Second, the Archbishop himself, as time went along, began to hold that the opinion commonly known now as "sede-vacantism" was a real possibility. Therefore, it would behoove you to keep an open mind on this possibility as circumstances in the New Order develop, in the same way that your founder did.
Third, the question of the Novus Ordo Ordinal of 1968, authored by the Freemason presbyter Hannibal Bugnini and his Committee of Six Protestant Ministers, is quite troubling, to say the least. It is known that the SSPX articles published about a year ago on this issue were not an open consideration of the matter, but were commissioned by Fellay to keep good relations with Benedict-Ratzinger and Newrome. The counterarguments against the validity of the Novus Ordo Ordinal of 1968 are weighty, being based primarily upon the declaration of Pope Leo XIII in Apostolicae Curae and Pope Pius XII in Sacramentum Ordinis, which were barely mentioned in those articles. It is an undeniable fact that Benedict-Ratzinger is the first pope elected without having been consecrated as a bishop in the unquestionably-valid traditional form, but merely "installed" in the Anglican-like Novus Ordo form. If Benedict-Ratzinger is not in fact a bishop, he obviously cannot be bishop of Rome.
These are indeed troubling issues for all traditional Catholics, and it does not help to try to sweep them aside. Rather, they must be analyzed carefully. We need to understand better the teaching of the Fathers and Doctors of the Church on these issues. We need to take off the rosy-colored glasses of propaganda and look, in the Roman way, at stark reality. We are no longer in 1968. We now have 40 years of perspective on what the New Order really is to factor into this analysis.

I read with interest the comments of your readers about the SSPX's Superior General Bernie Fellay and their discussions with parishioners at the SSPX Mass centers. I'm puzzled by them, because in my SSPX parish the priests and the people that I talk to treat the "Motu" Mess" as "ho-hum, let's get on with what we have been doing." I honestly don't believe that many SSPXers, including Bishop Fellay, place as much emphasis or thought on the "Motu" as you may believe they do.
The Fathers Reply.
It is to be expected that individual SSPX clergy and laity will have different attitudes on the "Motu" Mess and the recent evisceration of its Good Friday Prayer for the Jews. Some ignore it, as you say; some chastise it; some embrace it. Your perspective is naturally limited to your local area and perhaps a few others. We, on the contrary, are getting information from informed sources all around the world to fill in the Big Picture.
You yourself must know that your statement about Fellay's attitude toward the "Motu" Mess is false. Yes, Fellay could have taken the "ho-hum" attitude that you describe, but he in fact didn't. Instead, he officially decreed that all SSPX sites around the world must do Te Deums and Rosaries in thanksgiving for this "favor" of the New Order. Even you must see that this is far from a "ho-hum" attitude from the Society's top official.
On February 15, 2008, Fairbanks, Alaska, became the sixth Newchurch diocese to declare bankruptcy as a result of rampant sex-crimes by presbyters, cover-ups by Newchurch bishops, and damage judgments to victims. Fairbanks thus joins Davenport, Iowa; Portland, Oregon (formerly headed by Benedict-Ratzinger's own Sex-crimes Czar, William Levada); Spokane, Washington; Tucson, Arizona; and San Diego, California.
Fairbanks Newchurch bishop Donald Kettler admitted that his diocese, which numbers a mere 14,000 Newchurchers, stood accused of victimizing, to date, 285 children. [Source: Catholic World News]
I recently spent two months in Rome, where I attempted to buy quality religious articles as gifts for family and friends. The one thing that astounded me was to see how JPII and Benedict-Ratzinger are essentially being worshipped as New Order "saints."
Believe it or not, I was not able to buy simple Catholic candles. All of those that I saw had images of both Newpopes. I could find in Newrome no candle that exhibited sacred images of Our Lord. Every store in Newrome offers an incredibly-wide variety of Benedict-Ratzinger articles: candles, calendars, notebooks, dishes, miniatures of every kind, books, bookmarks, postcards, and rosaries. There were even icons and triptychs of the pope, which are traditionally reserved to images of the Savior, the Angels, and the Saints. I could name several stores that carry JPII and Benedict-Ratzinger statues in different sizes and prices. I found that outrageous.
The Newchurch clergy in Newrome does not react against this idolatry. It seems that the entire Newchurch clergy from Newpope on down encourages it. Who knows: maybe Newchurch gets a cut of the profits to pay of its sex-crimes tab! Our Lord Himself is ignored. I was relieved that I did not come across pictures of Benedict-Ratinger hanging on the walls of St. Sebastian's Catacombs!
The Fathers Reply.
Thank you for your eyewitness report cutting through the propaganda to let the TRADITIO Network's readers know what is really going on in Newrome. It is just further evidence that Newrome is reverting to the paganism that it now openly embraces in papal documents supporting Hinduism, Buddhism, Nativism, and Spirtualism.
Papolatry, or pope-worship, is a grievous sin against the First Commandment; it is idolatry pure and simple. It is defined as the worship of the pope as a god, from the Latin word papa, pope, and the Greek word latria, a theological term referring to the worship that is due only to God Himself. Even veneration of the Saints is something quite different, referred to by the theological term of doulia, from the Greek word for servitude. The veneration of the Blessed Virgin Mary is referred to as hyperdoulia, the prefix hyper meaning highest. Buy to give even the Blessed Virgin Mary latria would be a grave sin of blasphemy.
I am frankly baffled by the attitude of many SSPX members at my local church, and what I see does not bode well for the future of the SSPX, if it has any.
Since the "Motu" Mess of 2007, which most of these people view as a huge step forward, discussion after Mass has revolved around whether the local Novus Ordo bishop will give "permission" for more "Motu" Messes and the results of requests for "Motu" Messes and Sacraments. These are inevitably turned down, and endless SSPXer hand-wringing goes on about why the Newchurch bishops won't approve the "Motu" Mess, why they continue to ignore the "Motu," what can be done to change the bishops' minds, etc. These SSPX members are ready to abandon the Society just as soon as the Newchurch bishop approves a "Motu" Mess.
I am astounded that these SSPXers still seem to regard the Newchurch hierarchy as having any legitimacy at all, given its advocacy of the New Order (a different religion entirely), the rampant sex and embezzlement scandals, and the fact that few of the Newchurch bishops were even consecrated bishops or even ordained as priests according to the valid traditional rites. Yet many of the SSPX members do seem obsessed with putting themselves under the orders of these people who are Hell bent on destroying the Traditional Catholic Movement.
When I have asked my fellow SSPX parishioners why they are ready to sell out to the New Order, I am told that the Novus Ordo hierarchy must be legitimate, even though they have never been validly ordained or consecrated, but only "installed" as "presiders" over the New Order services. The SSPX officials have also become fanatical against any SSPXer who agrees with the Society's founder, Archbishop Lefebvre, in leaving open the possibility that the Conciliar popes have abandoned their papal office on account of preaching heresy, the position known as sede-vacantism.
From these conversations with SSPX officials and members, I have come to the firm conclusion that the Society under Bernie Fellay seems to crave more than anything some kind of recognition or stamp of approval by the corrupt Newchurch institution. He is hankering to be "unexcommunicated" by the New Order, a condition that Archbishop Lefebvre gloried in as a confirmation of his true Catholicism.
My point of view is that anyone who wants the Traditional Latin Mass and Sacraments has had access to it ever since Vatican II, and that trying to "convert" hard-core Novus Ordo adherents, who practice a different religion, is a huge waste of time and effort. Not only that, but it is actually a danger to the true Catholic faith. Hoping that people who hate traditional Catholicism will "approve" it makes no logical sense.
I am repeatedly told by SSPX officials and SSPXers to trust Bernie Fellay, to submit to his authority, and to give him "filial obedience." This sounds like idolatry to me. I trust, submit to, and give obedience to Our Lord Jesus Christ and his teachings, not some mere man of dubious traditional credentials. I bet even money that Fellay's SSPX will go along with Benedict-Ratzinger's evisceration of the ancient and traditional Good Friday prayer for the Jews. It is just another step down the SSPX's slippery slope to the Novus Ordo under Bernie Fellay.
I read the recent information on the Transalpine Redemptorists. Recently, I have began to have doubts about whether Papa Stronsay, etc., was really a traditional stronghold, as they published the Modernistic fasting regulations in their calendar, etc. However, what really worries me is their Purgatorial Archconfraternity, as I have enrolled quite a lot of my ancestors and kinsmen in it.
What is really going on there? Friends of mine have pointed out how expensive all this is. They charge $200 per soul or $500 per family [others use figures between $150 and $350]. They seem to need the money for all the expensive advertising that they are doing!
Thank you, as always, for the excellent TRADITIO Network web site and its up-to-date information in the Daily Commentaries from the TRADITIO Fathers.
The Fathers Reply.
Those amounts certainly seem to be beyond the range of what is reasonable and frankly seem to us to smack of simony. We cannot comment specifically on this organization, but can refer you to traditional organizations listed in the Official Traditional Catholic Directory.
The pope is trying to correct the Vatican II understanding that all false religions have the means of salvation and that the true Church merely "subsists in" the Catholic Church. He has re-interpreted that to be "identity," which is in line with tradition (July 10, 2007): "The use of this expression, which indicates the full identity of the Church of Christ with the Catholic Church, does not change the doctrine on the Church."
The Fathers Reply.
This statement is truly laughable and plays mere word-games, as it was Benedict-Ratzinger who personally had the unorthodox "subsists in" phrase added at Vatican II. Here is the history of what happened, for those who weren't there. Vatican II's 1964 Constitution on the Church, Lumen gentium, includes the following statement: Unica Christi Ecclesia ... subsistit in Ecclesia catholica, [the sole Church of Christ ... subsists in the Catholic Church]. This statement is dogmatically contrary to the teaching of the Catholic Church up until Vatican II: "The Roman Catholic Church is the only Church of Jesus Christ." In the first draft of the Vatican II constitution, it was still stated: "the Church of Christ is the Catholic Church."
But a German Protestant, Pastor Schmidt, an observer invited by Cardinal Bea to take part in the Council, was offended by the implication that the Protestants weren't true Christians and made the written proposal that the word est be replaced by substitit in. He gave the proposal to Fr. Joseph Ratzinger, who was at the time the peritus of Cardinal Frings of Cologne. Fr. Ratzinger in turn gave the proposal to Cardinal Frings, who moved it before the Council, and the words subsistit in were officially incorporated into the final text of the constitution.
To this day, Benedict-Ratzinger remains firmly committed to the New Order. For example, although he perpetrated the Great "Motu" Mess Hoax on July 7, 2007, he personally simulates only the Novus Ordo service, over and over again, for public television, in the vulgar (vernacular) tongues, and even prefers the most objectionable and invalid of all the "Eucharistic Prayers," the "Presto Prayer," authored by the Freemason presbyter Hannibal Bugnini and his Committee of Protestant Ministers.
What is worse is that Benedict-Ratzinger wrote in 1993 that the Bugnini service is "fabricated, manufactured." If he believes that, why has he been using it since 1968? Isn't Benedict-Ratzinger simply dishonestand sacrilegiously perpetrating an invalid Mess upon Newchuchers, which is the grave sin of simulation?
One has to understand that Benedict-Ratzinger is a consummate Newchurch agent. Since 1981 he has been a curial "fox," the term Our Lord used of Herod Antipas (Luke 13:32/DRV). Newchurch is sinking fast, and Benedict-Ratzinger must do something to get money from disaffected conservatives and semi-traditionalists to pay off for all the sex crimes, of which he was in charge, and to retain any credibility at all when he speaks at the United Nations and elsewhere on non-religious issues, such as "global warming."
In the first year of his papacy, so the statistics show, yet another 10% of Newchurch religious are gone. At that rate, after ten years of his papacy, and Newchurch will vanish entirely. Good riddance!
Is JPII "the Great" a Novus Ordo saint or not? You won't get a clear answer from Benedict-Ratzinger. He violated JPII's 1983 evisceration of the Catholic canonization process so that it is now widely known as Novus Ordo "conanization," and allowed JPII's process to be commenced just six weeks after his death. JPII had done the same thing for Mother Theresa of Calcutta, even though there were credible statements that she taught Syncretism, the joining of the pagan Hindu and Newchurch Faiths and that, according to the physicians present, her one alleged miracle was not a miracle at all, but simply the outcome of standard anticarcinogenic therapy.
Benedict-Ratzinger has broken the rules again on February 13, 2008, by allowing the New Order process to be started for Sister Lucia, one of the children associated with Fatima, who died only last year. Lucia was under virtual house arrest by the New Order until her death at age 97.
But if JPII were such a "saint," why is Benedict-Ratzinger reported to be rolling back at least some of JPII's 1983 "reforms" in a twenty-page document to be issued on February 18, 2008? It seems that the major emphasis on the document will be to tell the Newchurch dioceses not to submit conanization requests to Newrome so readily. It is not expected that Benedict-Ratzinger will restore the essential role of the Advocatus Diaboli (Devil's Advocate), restore the number of meticulously substantiated miracles to the original number, or restore the right of any Catholic to present evidence to contest the factual record. Benedict-Ratzinger is simply perpetrating another New Order ploy to deceive conservatives.
Traditional Catholics have always had an escape clause from the barrage of roughly 1000 New Order Saints and triple that number of Beati because Catholic theologians, including the Church's principal theologian St. Thomas Aquinas, through the centuries have provided a bailout for such a situation as occurred after Vatican II, holding that canonization is not invariably held to be an act of papal infallibility, and is certainly not a primary exercise thereof. The Irish Film & Television Academy has selected Traditional Catholic Producer-Director-Actor Mel Gibson to receive its Outstanding Contribution to World Cinema Award. The award is being given in cooperation with the Irish Department of Arts, Sports, and Tourism. Gibson will receive the award on February 17, 2008, in Dublin, at the Fifth Annual IFTA ceremony.
Speaking about its decision to grant the award to Gibson, Aine Moriarty, CEO of the Irish Film & Television Academy, said: "The Academy holds Mr. Gibson's film achievements in the highest regard. His drive, vision, and determination have inspired so many young Irish filmmakers over the past three decades who have followed his creative journey in filmmaking, both in front of and behind the camera."
Naturally, the recognition of Gibson's mega-talent in all three fields (producing, director, and acting) has angered Ireland's secular Jewish leaders. It seems that you just can't make a movie about Jesus Christ based upon the Bible without a bunch of secular Jewish leader bigots giving grief to you about it for the rest of your life. [Source: Irish Independent]
Newchurch in the The Netherlands have retitled Lent as "Christian Ramadan," claiming that young people there are more likely to know about Mohammedanism than Christianity and that Lent is being ignored by Newchurchers. Well, why not? Newchurch since 1967 in practice has virtually abolished penance, sin, fasting, and abstinence. That is not what the official "documents" say, but, then, who pays any attention to "documents" in Newchurch? [Source: UK Telegraph]
The Mohammedans seem to have no problem with an annual monthly fast, and Mohammedanism is spreading much faster than Christianity throughout the world. Perhaps Newchurch took the wrong "oecumenical" turn?
Pretty soon there won't be any Newchurch churches to simulate those "Motu" Messes of 2007 in! Reports are coming from all around the world that Newchurch edifices are being closed right and left, as attendance at the invalid Novus Ordo sinks into single digits.
In Canada, Newchurch bishop Vernon Fougere has announced that almost three of every four of his churches will be closed. This news was contained in a report prepared by Fougere's special committee, whose chairman has made the paradoxical statement that churches must be closed if the "Church" is to survive. The document received a hostile reception by Newchurchers, who are now talking about separating from the diocese and going off on their own.
In the United States, Newchurch bishop Timothy McDonnell has indicated that three of every five of of his churches will be closed. His diocese has seen a 26% drop in attendance at the Novus Ordo service in just ten years, from 1996 to 2006.
And what are the befuddled Newchurchers proposing to rectify the situation? That old Liberalistic saw: priestesses! These Newchurchers are so dense that they don't realize that, even if this were theologically possible, it has only reduced attendance.
Look at the Anglican/Episcopalian Church. Since it finally capitulated to priestesses in 1988, attendance has sunk like a rock. The average Anglican church now has an average attendance of fewer than ten people, and many of the priestesses, having made their political point, have left the priestesshood and moved on to other political causes.
Fortunately, traditional Catholics don't have to worry, as the Newchurch of the New Order is not the Roman Catholic Church.
The Transalpine Redemptorists of the UK, which proclaims itself in union with the Society of St. Pius X, has announced publicly, through the office of its Vicar General, Michael Mary, that it will embrace the violation of the "Motu" Mess by using not the ancient Good Friday prayer for the Jews in the traditional Roman Missal, but the "Politically Correct" Novus Ordo prayer concocted and promulgated on February 5, 2008, by Benedict-Ratzinger for his "Motu" Mess.
This Transalpine group has been posing for some time as a traditional organization and has been blanketing the conservative Newchurch and semi-traditionalist press with expensive advertising, as it tries to roll in from primarily the rich shores of the United States the dough for its ancillary activities, Golgotha Monastery and Purgatorian Archconfraternity.
Needless to say, this latest move toward the Novus Ordo service confirms that the group is simply an agent of the New Order, not a traditional organization. It remains to be seen whether Superior General Bernie Fellay and the SSPX as a whole will embrace this rejection of traditional Catholicism. However, since Fellay now wields the iron hand of a despot over the Society, it is difficult to believe that the Transalpines took this action without his knowledge. Fellay has already beaten into silent submission all of the previously independent voices of the other three SSPX bishops.
Jewish leaders have expressed public anger against Benedict-Ratzinger's for his modified Good Friday prayer, which was supposed to please them. The Italian Rabbinical Assembly has decided that it doesn't want to "dialogue" with Benedict-Ratzinger any more.
Vatican Radio trotted out Newcardinal Walter Kasper, the Friendly "Oecumenical" Ghost, who heads Newvatican's Pontifical Council for Christian Unity, to state over worldwide radio that Benedict-Ratzinger does not have "the intention now to be missionaries to Jews as one sends missions to the heathens." Has Benedict-Ratzinger lost his mind as well as his Catholic Faith?
Good Catholics, one has to wonder what deluded mind Benedict-Ratzinger has that makes him think that he will ever please these Jewish leaders? They are no better than Caiphases. It seems that although Benedict-Ratzinger removed the "veil of blindness" from the traditional Good Friday prayer for the Jews, he has assumed that veil of blindness for himself!
As we Fathers have warned many times, the term "Latin Mass" is a purposefully ambiguous term that can refer either to the Freemason presbyter Hannibal Bugnini's Novus Ordo Protestant-Masonic-Pagan service or to any previous rite in Latin, including Benedict-Ratzinger's bowdlerized "Motu" Mess of 2007.
A good case in point is the use of the term in the name of the Latin Mass Society of the UK. Some think that this Society supports the Traditional Latin Mass. It doesn't. It has accepted Benedict-Ratzinger's "Jewish" revision of his own "Motu" Mess of 2007 with Hannibal Bugnini's revisions of 1951, 1956, 1960, and 1962. The Latin Mass Society has fallen for that old chestnut, false "obedience," by which Bugnini and his Modernist crowd implemented all the changes to the Traditional Latin Mass starting in 1951. If the Society is so gung-ho on doing the will of this "Holy Father" instead of the will of Christ and His Catholic and Apostolic Church, why don't they just do Benedict-Ratzinger's real will and go Novus Ordo full bore?

When you try to make a deal with Mephistopheles, watch out for the barbed tail! That is the lesson that the Society of St. Pius X's Superior General, Bernie Fellay, learned in February 2008. Fellay has been kowtowing to Benedict-Ratzinger since 2006, and Newrome has returned his obeisance with a public slap in the face.
It has been announced that a retired Newchurch archbishop, Luigi De Magistris, will publicly ordain four men for the Institute of the Good Shepherd, a small group headquartered in Bordeaux, France, that was formed on September 8, 2006, when Fellay expelled four priests from the SSPX for Modernism. In order to drive a wedge between the Newchurch and the SSPX, Newvatican eagerly accepted the small group into the New Order. [Source: Catholic News]
Back in August 2006, he was ready to sell out the SSPX to the New Order. Then, on July 7, 2007, when Benedict-Ratzinger perpetrated his Great "Motu" Mess Hoax, Fellay was chanting Te Deums. Now, it seems, Benedict-Ratzinger has gone out of his way to embarrass his sycophant, Fellay, publicly by welcoming into Newchurch the very priests that Fellay had expelled. Will Fellay ever smarten up? On February 5, 2008, Benedict-Ratzinger released the Jews from the veil of blindness, but it seems that Fellay is still as blind as ever.
In a religious bookstore, I stumbled upon the 1968 Novus Ordo Pontificale Romanum and the 1978 Anglican Ordinal in the Book of Common Prayer. I opened it up to the page entitled "Consecration of Bishops." Likewise, I opened the Book of Common Prayer to the page entitled "Consecration of Bishops."
With my own eyes I discovered exactly what you TRADITIO Fathers have been saying: The Consecration forms of the Novus Ordo and of the Anglicans are word for word the same! The only difference between the Novus Ordo and the Anglican consecratory forms is that the latter omits the following phrase: "May he forgive sins, assign ministries, and loosen bonds that were given to your Apostles." The reason for that is that the Anglican Church doesn't believe that its bishops have the power to forgive sins, assign ministries, and remove impediments.
If the Novus Ordo Pontificale Romanum and 1978 Book of Common Prayer are the same, then they are both invalid because Pope Leo XIII, as long ago as 1896, declared the Anglican Ordinal as "utterly null and void." The Newchurchers have been duped!
It took only six months, and Benedict-Ratzinger was as good as his word: he has now changed his "Motu" Mess of 2007, now no longer even officially the "Mass of 1962." His change pertains to the most sacred part of the Missal, the rite of Good Friday, which is so ancient that it includes a number of phrases in Greek. This was done in order to please Jewish elements, like Abraham Foxman, the anti-Catholic bigot who heads the B'nai B'rith (Sons of the Old Covenant). The irony is that Benedict-Ratzinger's change has lost him a lot of conservative Newchurchers and has not gained him the approval of the Jewish leaders, who reject the softened language as well!
On Shrove Tuesday, February 5, 2008, Radio Vatican announced that Benedict-Ratzinger had decreed (without authority, of course) that the traditional Catholic prayer in the rites of Good Friday for the "Motu" Mess shall be replaced by the following, effective Good Friday 2008, and shall be included in all future "Motu" Missals:
Oremus et pro Iudaeis
Ut et Dominus Deus noster illuminet corda eorum ut agnoscant Iesum Christum salvatorem omnium hominum.
Oremus. Flectamus Genoa. Levate.
Omnipotens sempiterne Deus, qui vis ut omnes homines salvi fiant et ad agnitionem veritatis veniant, concede propitius, ut plenitudine gentium in Ecclesiam Tuam intrante omnis Israel salvus fiat. Per Christum Dominum nostrum.
Let us pray also for the Jews
That the Lord God may enlighten their hearts also that they should acknowledge Jesus Christ as the savior of all men.
Let us pray. Let us kneel. Arise
Almighty, eternal God, Who wish that all men be saved and come to the recognition of the truth, grant graciously, that, with the fullness of the nations coming into Thy Church, all Israel may be saved. Through Christ Our Lord.
The new prayer is, if nothing else, badly and confusingly written. The meaning of plenitudine gentium in Ecclesiam Tuam intrante, omnis Israel salvus fiat refers obliquely to a much-disputed passage in St. Paul's Epistle to the Romans (11:25-26). Moreover, the passage in St. Paul would require not a contemporaneous participle (intrante), but an antecedent participle. It turns out that Benedict-Ratzinger, who supposedly composed the bowdlerized prayer personally, is apparently not as good a Latinist as he has often been made out to be. The prayer is quite inelegant in the original, with ut clauses piling up and with an infelicitous placement of et in the beginning. The prayer certainly lacks the elegance that is found in the prayers in the traditional Missale Romanum!
Good Catholics, the Newchurch conservatives, having been betrayed by this change, are waiting for the next shoe to drop in Benedict-Ratzinger's Great "Motu" Mess Hoax. Fortunately, fully traditional Catholics don't have to worry because they don't pay any attention to this nonsense. They stick by the Traditional Latin Mass, which is not the "Motu" Mess of 2007.
Meanwhile, Benedict-Ratzinger sails along on the Novus Ordo ship at full paddle. On Ash Wednesday, he simulated the invalid Novus Ordo Protestant-Masonic-Pagan Mess, in a vulgar tongue, and with the "Presto" Eucharistic Prayer, the most abominable of all of Hannibal Bugnini's fabrications.
We can now see how Benedict-Ratzinger has cheated the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX). One of the two Society pre-conditions for "negotiations" with Newchurch was that every priest (?) in the world be allowed to celebrate the 1962 Mass in Latin. The SSPX conformed to the 1962 Missal some years ago as a gesture of co-operation with JPII's "Indult" Mess of 1988. Those in the SSPX who resisted the 1962 Missal in favour of the 1940s Missal, or even the post-1956 corruptions, of it were ostracized, persecuted, and even expelled from the Society.
Benedict-Ratzinger did indeed provide for a wider access to the Vatican II Missal of 1962 in 2007. However, this concession has been revoked after only seven months (if it ever really existed)! It has been revoked because the Benedict-Ratzinger is now making a change to the 1962 Missal in order to please the anti-Catholic Jewish lobby before any real "negotiations" began with the SSPX.
This revocation of the 1962 Mess came in response to a request from the two Chief Rabbis of Palestine. These rabbis are attached to a religion that, in its sacrilegious Talmud, calumniates Our Lord and His Holy and Immaculate Mother in ways too vile to pint here. But you may have noticed that, while Benedict-Ratzinger prays at synagogues and mosques, he has never publicly called upon these Masoretic Jews to consider revising their vile and blasphemous Talmud for the sake of "oecumenism." What is Newchurch's "oecumenism" after all? It is the false teaching that Christians must surrender the Faith and bow down to the Mohammedans and Jews, but the Mohammedans and Jews are not asked to reciprocate in the least.
The Shrove Tuesday change means that the 1962 Missal is no longer being conceded in its entirety (if it ever really was). It follows logically that Benedict-Ratzinger has reversed the first of the SSPX's pre-conditions before the second one has even been considered. Obviously, the SSPX cannot trust Benedict-Ratzinger and Newchurch. Bernie Fellay, the SSPX Superior General, has been made a fool of and is now left with egg on his face for having bought into the whole "Motu" Mess nonsense in the first place. How many Te Deums is he singing now after the Shrove Tuesday Massacre of the "Motu" Mess?
It is Newchurch itself that has now proved that it cannot be trusted. Res ipsa loquitur. As a result, the only honourable thing for Fellay's SSPX to do is to cease and desist from all talk of "negotiations" with Newrome forthwith.
The figures are out on Benedict-Ratzinger's first year as pope -- and they look devastating. In just one year, the first year of Benedict-Ratzinger's term (2005-2006), the number of Newchurch male and female religious dropped 10%! Now there are fewer than one million (945,210) Newchurch religious worldwide. During JPII's devastating reign (1978-2005), the number had already fallen by 25%. Newchurch nuns are abandoning their vows in record numbers. [Source: L'Osservatore Romano]
Sin, Shame & Secrets: The Murder of a Nun, the Conviction of a Priest [sic], and Cover-up in the Catholic [sic] Church has sold out of hardcover copies, and a new paperback edition is now being released.
The book documenting the Satanic murder of Sister Margaret Ann Pahl and the conviction of Newchurch presbyter Gerald Robinson for the murder was authored by David Yonke, a 27-year-veteran of the Toledo Blade, where he has been religion editor for seven years. Two more books have subsequently been published about the crime.
Sister Margaret Ann, 71, was murdered by Presbyter Robinson in the sacristy of a chapel at the former Mercy Hospital. She was strangled from behind, then, barely alive, laid straight out on the floor. In a Satanic rite, Robinson folded a white linen altar cloth over her chest and stabbed her 31 times with a sacrificial knife, including nine times over her heart in the pattern of an upside-down cross.
Yonke's book also documents a widespread cover-up by the local bishop and his coven of Satanic practices against Toledo children by Newchurch clergy. Newchurch leaders not only repeatedly lied to and stymied investigators of the crimes, but also several Newchurch members of the Toledo police force cooperated with the bishops in the cover-up. The chief of police issued an order never to arrest a presbyter, no matter how horrible the crime. [Source: Toledo Blade]
Things have gotten so bad in Newchurch that now archbishops are fighting with each other to cover up their sex crimes! Desmond Connell, a Newcardinal and former archbishop of Dublin was desperate to prevent his successor, Diarmuid Martin, from making public 5000 documents pertaining to sex crimes and criminal presbyters in the archdiocese during Connell's sixteen-year tenure from 1988 to 2004.
Under Connell, the Newchurch archdiocese of Dublin became embroiled in sex scandals that Connell knowingly covered up. Under Martin, the documents have now were requested by an independent panel, the Dublin Archdiocese Commission of Investigation, headed by Judge Yvonne Murphy. The High Court of Ireland is scheduled to weigh the arguments of the two Newchurch archbishops at a session next week. [Source: Catholic World News]
Things got so bad in Dublin that the Newchurchers there openly heckled Connell at a Novus Ordo service in Dublin's cathedral. When Connell tried to excuse himself for his "failure to deal effectively" with his presbyters who assaulted children, the congregation openly shouted him down with cries of "too late"! By that time 450 lawsuits had been entered against Connell and six Dublin bishops, who were aware of the crimes, but did nothing. By April 2004, the Dublin Newchurchers forced his ouster.
Good Catholics, see what happens when people get "mad as Hell and won't take it any more" (Howard Beale)? Newchurch criminal bishops, and even cardinals, fall. Imagine what would have happened if Catholics in 1968 had told Hannibal Bugnini and Paul VI: take your Novus Ordo Protestant-Masonic-Pagan service and shove it!? There would now be no "crisis in the Church." The conservative Newchurchers would not have to settle for Benedict-Ratzinger's Great "Motu" Mess Hoax. All Catholics would now have the valid Roman Catholic Mass and Sacraments. It's not too late!
We have to give credit to Newchurcher Joseph Protano for standing up for his rights. When Protano went into the chapel of the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, he found the crucifix and Blessed Virgin Mary's statue covered and her painting turned upside down. He asked the three Mohammedans who had placed the covers on to remove them and to put right the painting of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Mohammedans refused, and an argument broke out.
Not the Mohammedans, but Protano, who is a hospital employee, was called on the carpet by the hospital for insisting on his rights. He was told that he should not even have entered the chapel, and his pay has been cut off. The desecrating Mohammedans, one of who is a doctor in the hospital, got off scot free. [Source: UK Daily Mail]
More and more Newchurchers are getting fed up with Benedict-Ratzinger's unCatholic "We All Worship the Same God" policy and are standing up for their rights against Jews and Mohammendans who wish to suppress Christianity.
As Benedict-Ratzinger continues to sit on his hands while his Newchurch implodes with immorality, another one of his Newchurch nuns has been carted away to the hoosegow for ten years. The "nun," Norma Giannini, was convicted of assaulting two Milwaukee, Wisconsin, boys. It is still not clear how many boys she used her power to take advantage of as a principal of a Newchurch school. Giannini has admitted that she also assaulted a Chicago boy and at least three other children in Milwaukee.
One victim told the court that Giannini sexually assaulted him more than a 100 times. "She has no soul and no morality. Creatures like this belong in prison, not walking free among the innocent," said one victim. "Norma Giannini's idea of an education was to use me to satisfy her own sexual needs and wants," the other victim said. The victims said that they had hoped the sentencing would be even tougher. The head of a Newchurch school in West London has been arrested on charges of sexual assault. Fr. David Pearce was arrested at his home. These are not old crimes. "The allegations relate to incidents between 2006 and 2007," stated London police. The school admits pupils aged 4 to 18. [Source: BBC News]
Good Catholics, any notion that Newchurch's Great Sex & Embezzlement Scandal is over is nonsense. With the full backing of Benedict-Ratzinger's silence, these Newchurch criminals continue their crime wave. As the legal maxim is, "Qui tacit, consentit." Benedict-Ratzinger's silence legally makes him just as criminal as his subordinates. He may as well be performing the rapes himself.
The new dinner table on which Benedict-Ratzinger will simulate the invalid Novus Ordo service at the so-called Catholic University of America was unveiled to the press on January 28, 2008. The one-by-three metre table was designed by two young Newchurchers, egged on by Donald Wuerl, the Newchurch archbishop of Washington, D.C. You remember Wuerl -- he's the asthenic who can't refuse the Novus Ordo cookie and Kool-Aid to pro-abortion, pro-"gay" hawks Senators Ted Kennedy and John Kerry.
The device, together with matching pulpit, lectern, and chair, will be moved to the nearby baseball stadium for yet another Novus Ordo Mess on April 17, 2008. Thus, Benedict-Ratzinger unites himself with his sacrilegious predecessors, who on their junkets simulated the Novus Ordo service not in cathedrals, but in unconsecrated sports stadia and even horse-racing tracks where the animals had [bleeped] in the "sanctuary." [Source: CUA Public Affairs]
Good Catholics, the evidence just piles up that all the propaganda by Newchurch conservatives that Benedict-Ratzinger is conservative, or even traditional, let alone Catholic, bears a strong resemblance to the material that one finds at the bottom of birdcages, (similar to the material that one finds at the horse-racing tracks where he celebrates the Novus Ordo service. Hmmm, no there's a connection!
Now here's one of those ironies of liberalism. The unCatholic practice of cremation, which the Catholic Church has traditionally condemned as a Masonic-Pagan handmaiden of Modernism, because cremation endorses the idea that there is no afterlife and that the human body is not the "temple of the Lord." Well, it turns out that the liberalists agree with traditional Catholics -- and not with the Newchurch of the New Order -- in condemning the practice, but for a different reason: cremation is not "green."
It seems that to burn a human body to a crisp requires a temperature of 850 degrees Celsius for 90 minutes. This process produces 50 kilograms of carbon dioxide, which is, of course, a no-no for liberalists. According to the liberalists, corpses do more good in the ground than being cremated and burnt to a crisp!
Nevertheless, the post-Vatican II Newchurch, separating itself from both traditional Catholicism and from its liberalist cohorts, has embraced cremation over the Catholic practice of interment or entombment. Go figure! As the old saying goes, talk is cheap. All those who are praising Benedict-Ratzinger for his supposed "conservatism," even "traditionalism," are not looking at the facts. Benedict-Ratzinger's appointment of bishops shows clearly where his heart and soul are: in Modernism and moral corruption.
The latest case in point. Benedict-Ratzinger has appointed James Vann Johnston, Jr., as Newchurch bishop of Springfield-Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Johnston was installed as a Novus Ordo presbyter in 1990 in Knoxville, Tennessee, and will be installed under Bugnini's Novus Ordo Ordinal of 1968 as an unconsecrated bishop on March 31, 2008.
Johnston, who now serves in the upper echelons of the Knoxville Newchurch diocese, is an admirer of Knoxville's first bishop (1988-1998), Anthony Joseph O'Connell, who was forced to resign from his later position as bishop (1998-2002) of Palm Beach, Florida, after charges that he assaulted a child. Johnston has caused scandal in Knoxville by ordering that pictures of O'Connell nevertheless be kept on display in diocesan churches and schools.
Johnston has been singled out for criticism by Susan Vance, Drector of the Tennessee chapter of Survivors Network for those Abused by Priests (SNAP), one of the few lay groups active in Newchurch trying to put a stop to Newchurch's Great Sex & Embezzlement Scandal. Vance pointed out that Knoxville has been a home and refuge to criminal presbyters. She charged that Johnston has refused to cross-reference records with the Nashville and Memphis dioceses to ferret out those criminal presbyters. "He hides behind the letter of the law to keep from being compassionate," says Vance. [Source: Springfield News-Leader]
Just what Newchurch needs: another unconsecrated bishop to cover up rampant sex crimes among its presbyters and bishops. Benedict-Ratzinger, Pope of the Sex-crime Cover-up, must be so proud of his new appointment!
EWTN, the Newchurch Charismatic cable television network, is now hawking a book that it has published entitled Make Abortion Rare and is inaugurating a television series by the same title, which is to inject Modernism and leave the door open for those in Newchurch who are "pro choice." This is just the latest indication that EWTN is a fake, posing as "Catholic" to mislead viewers into Protestant Charismaticism (several of its host are leading Protestant Charistmatics, like Scott Hahn) and Modernism.
Miracle of miracles, however, the Newchurcher conservatives, who may not be religiously Catholic, but are politically anti-abortion, are now seeing that EWTN is not at all Catholic, but is part of the Protestant-Masonic-Pagan New Order. Even several Newchurch conservative talking-heads have pilloried EWTN for its deceptions.
Newchurch archbishop Malcolm Ranjith, Benedict-Ratzinger's henchman as Prefect of the Congregation for [Novus Ordo] Divine Worship, has now publicly confirmed the TRADITIO Network's report that Novus Ordo cookies are routinely being stolen for use in Satanic rituals. The same charge was made some time ago by traditional Catholic author Fr. Malachi Martin in his 1998 blockbuster expose, Windswept House. For further information, see the TRADITIO Network's Library of Files for WIND: Who's Who in Windswept House: A Key to the Characters in Fr. Malachi Martin's Windswept House. in the TRADITIO Network's Library of Files (FAQs and Traditional Apologetics).
Ranjith has admitted that these cookies, given in the hand, are kept as souvenirs, sold on eBay, thrown in the garbage, and stolen for use in Satanic rituals. Ranjith's admission has been confirmed by police reports. Ranjith, head of the Novus Ordo liturgical apparatus for Newchurch, for whom, presumably, these actions would be sacrilege subjectively, is doing nothing about it. Nothing! He is simply a Novus Ordo puppet and a sham of a bishop.
Even the conciliar popes have engaged in such practices. At JPII's Central Park Mess in New York in 1995, one Novus Ordo presbyter, James McLucas, formerly editor of the Latin Mass Magazine, wrote that he had personally witnessed thousands of extra cookies being placed unceremoniously in burlap bags and thrown in to Hudson River. Although McLucas expressed outrage in a magazine article, he did nothing about what he described. Nothing! Technically, of course, any such use of Novus Ordo cookies is not objective sacrilege, since Novus Ordo cookies are not the Corpus Christi, but invalid pieces of dough of no religious value whatsoever.
Good Catholics, what the Novus Ordo personnel believe about the invalid Novus Ordo cookies, manufactured by unordained presbyters and unconsecrated bishops (like Benedict-Ratzinger himself), who have merely been installed as New Order "presiders" according to Hannibal Bugnini's New Ordinal of 1968, is indicated not by their words but by their actions. Can you imagine Pope St. Pius X not taking immediate action against such things? Of course not. But Benedict-Ratzinger is too busy oecumenically schmoozing with rabbis and imams to pay any attention to such things. Is the pope Catholic? It doesn't take much to figure out the obvious answer to that question!
On April 2, 2008, Newchurch bishops and Anglican bishops will sign a formal covenant merging their two sects. As of that date, Newchurch clergy and Anglican clergy will jointly preside at a "Mass," and clergy will officially exchange pulpits. The Newchurch bishops will process to Newcastle's Christ Church Anglican Cathedral to sign the merger. [Source: Christian Today]
In 1896 Pope Leo XIII declared Anglican Orders absolutely invalid. Of course, this is a not a problem with Newchurch because since Hannibal Bugnini's Novus Ordo Ordinal of 1968, Newchurch has not been ordaining priests either, but merely "installing presiders."
Further proof that the Bernie Fellay administration of the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) is reinventing history and spurning the principles of its founder, Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre is provided by a recent SSPX headquarters release implying that Archbishop Lefebve would have approved of Benedict-Ratzinger's Great "Motu" Mess Hoax, which Fellay himself has swallowed hook, line, and sinker. The release quotes an May 15, 1978, statement of the Archbishop:
We do not want to break away from the Church; on the contrary, we want the Church to continue. A Church which breaks away from her past is no longer the Catholic Church. We are certain that the truth will come back. It cannot be otherwise. The Good God does not abandon His Church.
Fellay apparently interprets this as meaning that the Archbishop would not have rejected Newchurch and Newrome, or the "Motu" Mess of 2007. But that interpretation is patently absurd. As a matter of fact, the Archbishop was speaking of the spurious New Order Church. In fact, in the last three years of his life, since the publication of JPII's "Indult" Mess of 1988, the Archbishop more and more distanced himself publicly from Newchurch, Newrome, and Ratzinger personally, who he called the "anti-Christ" and "not a Catholic."
Moreover, contrary to Fellay's historical revisionism, the Archbishop increasingly entertained the serious possibility of sede-vacantism. The Archbishop, according to an earlier article in the SSPX's house organ, Angelus:
He [Lefebfre] said more than once about these popes -- about Paul VI from 1976, and about John Paul II, after the prayer meeting of religions at Assisi in 1986 -- that he did not exclude the possibility that these popes were not popes, that one day the Church will have to examine their situation, that a future pope and his cardinals might have to pronounce the finding that these men had not been popes.
These clear statements from the Archbishop about Ratzinger and Newchurch have recently been deceptively and systematically removed from SSPX web sites because Fellay doesn't want to undercut his new friend Benedict-Ratzinger and jeopardize his own hankering for the scarlet.
According to an investigative report in the South Africa Mail & Guardian, Newchurch presbyter Bernard Van der Hulst has been accused of sex crimes involving assaults upon girls, teenagers, and women. He has been under police investigation on at least seven charges of sexual assault since he transferred to the Fish Hoek Newparish in 1988.
Lawrence Henry, the Newchurch archbishop of Cape Town, has taken no significant action since he was appointed in 1990. Henry said that "there's no record of any such action having been taken against" van der Hulst, but Detective Sergeant Leon Isaacson called the archbishop a liar, stating to the contrary that his investigating unit did inform Henry of the charges of four families against Van der Hulst from 1987 to 1989.
Isaacson said that the police investigation was "very difficult because people didn't want to speak against him [the presbyter]. The church community protected him. Families affected preferred to remove their children rather than continue pressing criminal charges because of the pressure they felt from the [New]church." The detective stated: "the archbishop’s office called me in and said they’re investigating these allegations themselves, and it was not a matter they liked to deal with via the police. They asked me to back off, which we didn’t."
The latest charges against Van der Hulst were made in 2005 in the Supreme Court in Cape Town. In trial papers, the Grand West casino was subpoenaed to provide a detailed account of Van der Hulst’s gambling activities. Van der Hulst frequents the Grand West casino so often that he qualified for a Gold Card in May 2001! At one time Van der Hulst tried to extort over $40,000 from victims, the exact amount of money he lost at the casino in his 69 trips to Grand West since its opening in December 2000. Van der Hulst's stipend as a Newchurch presbyter is $63 per month, and he lost, on average, around $600 a month at the casino.
Traditional Catholic Producer-Director-Actor Mel Gibson, named "The Most Powerful Christian in Hollywood" by Beliefnet, told the press that he lamented the untimely death on January 22, 2008, at age 28, of his younger fellow Australian actor, Keith Ledger. Ledger had played Gibson's son in 2000's The Patriot, in which Gibson starred.
Gibson said that he had distanced himself from Ledger since 2005 when, against Gibson's advice, Ledger chose to play a "gay" cowboy in Brokeback Mountain. Ledger had asked Gibson whether he should play the part in Brokeback Mountain. Gibson had strongly counseled against it because the role ran counter to Gibson's traditional-Catholic morality, and he felt that it would ruin Heath's career. [Source: New York Daily News]
We are now seeing how the "Freedom of Choice" Movement starts. First, it says that everyone has a choice about abortion and other forms of prenaticide. But it ends in telling Catholics that they cannot operate hospitals if they oppose prenaticide. Later, it will say that they also cannot operate schools. Then, it will say that they cannot preach the truth from the pulpit. Finally, the Catholic Faith herself will be proscribed.
The Fathers Reply.
We view this issue in terms of a bigger picture. What you call the "Freedom of Choice" Movement is certainly not confined to the issue of abortion. The same techniques are being used to promote homosexuality and "gay" marriage. In fact, the same techniques are being used by Newchurch to promote the false New Order.
These techniques were developed in the Dreadful Deacade of 1965-1975, the same period over which the true Church was reduced to the catacombs immediately after Vatican II (1962-1965). Benedict-Ratzinger himself uses the techniques that you have described, but his over fifty years of experience have made his current application of the techniques even more subtle and more deceptive.
Pope St. Pius X (1903-1914) seemed to be the only one who really understood the danger of these techniques, which are simply handmaidens of Modernism. He didn't just talk; he did something about it. His successor, Benedict XV essentially vitiated Pius's work. As a result, fifty years later the pestilence that the Saint-Pope worked so courageously against came back even more virulently under another Benedict, the sixteenth of that name.
The St. John Schola informs us that it has just released the sixth of its live Gregorian chant recordings in its A Traditional Chapel Sings Gregorian Chant series. This set is highly recommended by the TRADITIO Network for its fidelity to the Traditional Roman Liturgy and for its utility in training Gregorian scholae in traditional churches, chapels, and oratories.
Although there are many recordings made in recording studios, or sometimes in larger churches or monasteries with professional or dedicated choirs, there are few, if any, recordings made by the average small lay choir, chanting what can actually be attempted in the smaller churches, chapels, and oratories, to which the Sacred Chant can be a great addition in the traditional Roman liturgy, not as mere secular performance, but in the actual religious setting for which it was composed, the Traditional Latin Mass and Divine Office of the classical Roman Rite.
The St. John Schola for Gregorian chant is, therefore, recording a CD series consisting of unedited, live recordings of the type of chant pieces that may be used at traditional churches and chapels. It makes no pretense to being professional, but to what is achievable, with a little work, by the average small lay choir. This series, A Traditional Chapel Sings Gregorian Chant, can serve as a practical guide for the wider use of Gregorian chant in the traditional Roman Catholic liturgy. Supporting music sheets and booklets are available free to accompany the recordings and aid small choirs in using Gregorian chant for the traditional liturgy.
The St. John Schola has issued the following volumes to date:
Volume I: Christmas Matins of the Divine Office-An Abridgement (December 2006)
Volume II: First Mass of Christmas (December 2006)
Volume III: Fourth Sunday after Epiphany (January 2007)
Volume IV: Pentecost (May 2007)
Volumes I-IV: Box Collection (May 2007)
Volume V: 14th Sunday after Pentecost (September 2007)
Volume VI: 4th Sunday after Easter (February 2008)
