As if things couldn't get any worse, in my area Newchurch is starting to replace the invalid (fake) "New Mess" with a "eucharistic service" conducted by lay deacons, because very few young men dare to enter the Novus Ordo presbyterate.
I don't participate in any of this, of course, as I know that Newchurch stopped ordaining priests in 1968 when it began using the Protestantized New Ordinal merely to "install presbyters" (like Protestant ministers). Aren't all these Newchurch services just fakery, non-Masses and Non-sacraments worse than the Protestants ones?

You are correct. What you are describing is tantamount to a Protestant service, which is most certainly NOT a valid Catholic Mass offered by a Catholic priest, nor is it sacramental "communion," but merely worthless cookies and Kool-Aid. That congregation should long ago have gone home, never to return to the fake Synodal Newchurch of the New Order, which is most certainly NOT the Catholic Church, but an apostate sect worse than the Protestants. Anyone having anything to do with Newchurch and its fake services is personally participating in the apostasy from the true Catholic Faith, a Mortal Sin against the First Commandment of God.
It seems that Timothy "Laughing Cow" Dolan, Newcardinal of New York, is being forced to leave his position just in time. On February 28, 2025, on the cusp of his departure, Dolan praised the infidel religion of Islam and called Ash Wednesday merely a Newchurch "Ramadan" and called on Islamist infidels and Newchurchers to "unite." In 2025 Ramadan falls on March 1, and Ash Wednesday falls on March 5.
"Let's unite with our Islamic brothers and sisters [sic] in prayer and fasting," urged the apostate Newcardinal. Islamists are not "brothers and sisters" to Christians; they are technically known as "infidels" like the Jews rather than heretics like the Protestants or schismatics like the Eastern Orthodox. The true Catholic Church prays each year on the Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ the King, the last Sunday of October, the Consecration of the Human Race to the Sacred Heart of Jesus enjoined by Pope Pius XI to be recited before the Most Blessed Sacrament exposed upon the altar the following words:
Rex esto eorum omnium, qui in tenebris idolatriae aut Islamismi adhuc versantur, eosque in lumen regnumque tuum vindicare ne renuas.
Be Thou King of all those who are still involved in the darkness of idolatry or of Islamism, and refuse not to draw them all into the light and kingdom of God.
Traditional Catholics, this is not the first time that Dolan has violated the First Commandment of God by equating infidel Islamism with Catholicism. Actually, Islam is a latter-day religion, fabricated some six centuries after Christ. In accordance with Sacred Scripture, Christians have practiced fasting since the first centuries of the Church. The forty-day Lenten fast was fixed by the year 400, over 200 years before the Islamist religion even originated.

As an extra Lenten penance I am planning to abstain from meat on all days of Lent except Sundays. Am I correct in thinking that sardines are not considered meat for the regular abstinence that pertains to all Fridays of the year?

That is correct for the abstinence that pertains to all Fridays of the year (not just Lent), unless a Holyday of Obligation occurs on a Friday. The abbreviated term abstinence from "meat" is misleading. In English, a vulgar tongue, whose words often change their meaning over time, "meat" used to mean any food (e.g., in the phrase "meat and drink"). Eventually, the term became restricted in its meaning only to "fleshmeat." Sardines are not fleshmeat, but seafood.
No wonder the apostate Newpope Francis-Bergoglio hates even the Half New Order New Latin Mess of 1962, let alone the Fully Traditional Latin Mass of 1950 and before. On February 28, 2025, he issued a directive from his hospital bed to remove all "pageantry or prominence" from the staging of the New Mess of 1969 and, for that matter, from the 1962 Mess.
You see, Bergoglio loves castrated Evangelical Protestantism. He admires most of all the infamous Evangelical preacher Joel Osteen, whom even many Protestants denounce as "not a Christian." When the Neo-SSPX's Bernie Fellay visited Newvatican, Bergoglio made him eat alone, while he had a vivacious luncheon with his favorite, Osteen.
Bergoglio went even further. He deputed "liturgists" to spy on Newbishops and "faith communities" (scil. New Latin Mess groups) to make sure that they towed the Bergoglian line to remove everything from their services but what is banal and bland. He himself has set the example, eschewing sublime Latin and soul-stirring Gregorian chant with vulgar tongues and folk ditties. For Bergoglio, worship is nothing divine, nothing sacred, but "the work of the whole assembly." The "liturgy" must be "inculturated," using local pagan cacophony and "rhythmic" dancing. "Inculturation" rather than Romanness was one of the corrupt doctrines forwarded by the Vatican II Anti-council. Traditional Catholics, "pageantry and prominence" has traditionally been considered a reflection of man's adoration of his Supreme God. Non nisi optimum, only the best for God. The true Catholic Church, from as early as the time of the first Christian Roman emperor, Constantine the Great, perfected with its one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Traditional Latin Mass what even the classical peoples like the ancient Romans, Greeks, and Egyptians instinctively understood about the majesty of God Almighty.

What do you think about a traditional Catholic being a godparent at a Newchurch baptism? Do you think that the possibility the child's godfather could guide him towards Traditional Catholicism could possibly justify such an arrangement?

A Traditional Catholic participating in such an arrangement would be cooperating with heresy, a grave sin against the First Commandment of God, as the Newchurch sect is most certainly NOT the Catholic Church, but now even worse than, e.g., the Lutheran sect. What kind of scandal would such an arrangement cause to the heretical parents and to the child? Remember that the Newchurch sect is just as heretical (if not more so now) than a Protestant sect. Therefore, you might just as well ask the question: What do you think about a Traditional Catholic being a godparent at a Lutheran baptism?
Moreover, Newchurch no longer even calls the "sacrament" (?) baptism, but initiation, as if the individual were being initiated into the Freemasons. There have been so many reported examples -- even admitted by the Newvatican -- of invalid administration of Novus Ordo baptism, that it must be presumed to be invalid, more than baptism in conservative mainline Protestant denominations.

Continuing its purge of pseudo-traditionalists religious orders associated with the New Latin Mess of 1962, fifty Marian Newfranciscans were expelled from Scotland on February 23, 2025. The order's members have been left "homeless." The expulsion has the approval of the Scottish Council of Pr(esbyters).
The pseudo-traditionalist Marian Franciscans tried to play both ends against the middle in Newchurch by offering to simulate the invalid (fake) Protestant-Pagan-Masonic New Mess as well as the Half New Order New Latin Mess of 1962. So, in effect, this order is not "traditionalist" at all. It is similar to the same ruse that is perpetrated by the pseudo-traditionalist community operating out of St. John Cantius Newchurch in Chicago, Illinois, which publicizes itself widely as "traditionalist," but actually uses the New Mess. The Marian Franciscans had associated themselves with sellouts to Newchurch like Newcardinal Gerhard Muller, Newbishop Athanasius Schneider, and Presbyter "Chad" Ripperger.
The Marian Newfranciscans sold out on Holy Week too. They scamper down to the Newcathedral every Maundy Thursday to simulate the invalid New Mess on that day with all the other unordained presbyters of Newchurch. This "Chrism Mess," concocted by the heretic Freemason presbyter Hannibal Bugnini in 1956, is badge of loyalty to Newchurch. All those operating under the Newchurch umbrella, like the Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP), the Institute of Christ the King (ICRSS), and other such sellouts to the Synodal Newchurch of the New Age, all have to simulate the fake (invalid) concocted Mess on Maundy Thursday of Holy Week. Traditional Catholics, the Pseudo-traditionalist Marian Newfranciscans are similar to that of the Transalpine Redemptorists, whose New Zealand foundation was likewise expelled from Newchurch upon charges of committing sex crimes on children and performing unauthorized "exorcisms" on children. The Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) is also currently undergoing an investigation in the United States by Newvatican. These pseudo-traditionalist organizations that falsely think that they can straddle the fence by being friendly to Newchurch are being castrated by Newchurch one by one.
The wake for independent Bishop Richard Williamson took place on the evening of Tuesday, February 25, 2025, and his exequies took place on the morning of the following day.

The Newchurch clergy in the United States is sinking fast. The last decennial count of the number of Newchurchers in the United States was 61,900,000, not quite 19 per cent of the total population. Such numbers are totally unreliable as they are usually based on responses to questionnaires, in which the respondents, embarrassed to admit their irreligiosity, claim to be members of a sect when they haven't even set foot in the door of a church.
As of January 1, 2024, just 2,980 men were preparing for non-sacramental installation (Newchurch since 1968 has not ordained priests in the Sacrament of Holy Orders, but uses the invalid [fake] Protestantized New Ordinal merely to "install" presbyter-ministers) for Newparishes in the Synodal Newchurch of the New Order. Even on the assumption that all of these made it to installation, that would amount to one presbyter for each 20,771 Newchurchers.
Yet the statistics show that only a small number of those entering Novus Ordo seminaries remain to the end; most drop out long before. Putting it another way, there are just 16 Newseminarians on average for each of the 176 Newchurch dioceses. The statistics also show that any Newdiocese with more than 1,000,000 Newchurchers attracts a below-average ratio of New seminarians to Newchurchers.
The Newdioceses having the worst time attracting Newseminarians are some of the biggest: Rochester, New York; Las Vegas, Nevada; Chicago, Illinois; San Antonio, Texas; Los Angeles, California; San Jose, California; Buffalo, New York; Sacramento, California; San Bernardino, California; San Diego, California; Rockville Centre, New York; Monterey, California; Tucson, Arizona; Springfield, Massachusetts; Loredo, Texas; Brownsville, Texas; Fairbanks, Alaska. It is not happenstance that many of these Newdioceses are in bankruptcy or have been the focus of notorious paedophile crimes by Newchurch presbyters and Newbishops. Traditional Catholics, there are two principal reasons why are there so few Newchurchers going into the Newseminaries. First of all, the young men are afraid of being sodomized by the higher and lower Newchurch clergy. They know that Newchurch's Great Sex & Embezzlement Holocaust continues unabated, supported by the apostate Newpopes. The case of the notorious paedophile Theodore McCarrick, Newcardinal of Washington, D.C., is just one of a multitude of such presbyters and Newbishops.
Secondly, as one Newchurch presbyter admitted: "No young man wants to give his life for something banal or mediocre." And that is certainly an apt definition of what the Synodal Newchurch of the New Order is. It is becoming clearer and clearer to more and more Newchurchers that Newchurch is most certainly NOT the Catholic Church, but no more than a fake sect, like that fabricated by the Arch-heretic Martin Luther, who called his sect the "Catholic Church."
