Good Catholics, aren't those "conservative" Novus Ordinarian bishops the worst? The liberalist bishops are bad enough, but at least we know where they stand. The "conservatives" are the Great Deceivers of the Novus Ordo Church. They play "Catholic" in public, but stab you in the back in private. You all know about Fabian Bruskewitz of Lincoln, Nebraska, who threatens to "excommunicate Catholic Masons" and then marches in the Shriners' Masonic Parade!
And then there is Charlie Chaput, once the fair-haired boy of the "conservative" Novus Ordo Church, now exiled into oblivion in the snow-capped mountains of Colorado. You all remember his sacrilegious "Indian Feather" Mess in Denver on August 4, 2003, at which the "bishop" sported pagan Indian feathers behind the Blessed Sacrament and had tom-toms play for Mess. It has had a place in our Novus Ordo Service Photo Gallery since that time, together with the "Buddha" Mess, the "Clown" Mess, the "Gay" Mess, and all rest of that Rogues' Gallery.
Now Charlie is back in the news. According to the Denver Post, a group of traditional Catholics wanted to end a two-day, 80-km pilgrimage with a Mass at the Mother Cabrini Shrine on a mountaintop west of Denver. A perfectly religious request, eh? Yet this renegade bishop outlawed that Mass, as well as all Roman Catholic Masses in Denver, pushing instead the Church of the New Order and its phony, invalid Mess. But let's look at what is approved by Newchurch:
Never fear. Not to be daunted, the traditional Catholics on pilgrimage will have the Traditional Latin Mass outside the shrine gates. It is now Denver's only hope, since every Novus Ordo Mess conducted there digs that city's hole closer to Gehenna. And then, when Chief Chaput himself dares to present himself at the Pearly Gates, he may well hear the Lord upon Whom he turned his back say: "I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (Matthew 7:23/DRV).
The well-respected National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago, which does frequent studies on religious matters as part of its General Social Survey, released on July 21 the results of its decade-long study that might startle those who claim that the United States is a "Christian nation." Between 1993 and 2000, the share of Americans who said that they were Protestant dropped in a precipitous decline over the decade from 63% to 52% after years of remaining relatively stable. At the same time, the number of people who said that they had no religion rose from 9% to nearly 14%, and many are former Protestants.
Thus, the United States will no longer be a majority Protestant nation in years to come.
As to the figure that the Novus Ordo bishops publicize for "Catholics" in the United States, 65,000,000, the Chicago Study and the Gallup Polls show that in fact the real number is actually closer to 10,000,000. The higher figure is constructed using purportedly "baptized" individuals who never set foot in a Novus Ordo church, illegal aliens, etc. On the other hand, the U.S. bishops' own studies show the lower number, based on their current figure of 15% of "Catholics" attending the Novus Ordo service (down from 79% in 1958).
U.S. News & World Report put the number of the traditional Catholics at "up to 15 million." So, traditional Catholics could be in the majority, if only they'd come out of the closet instead of allowing themselves to be intimidated by Novus Ordo bishops.
Good Catholics, so many of you have been asking me: why doesn't God do something about what is going on in the Church of the New Order, which poses as the "Catholic Church"? Well, your prayers have been answered. The Church of the New Order is disintegrating before your very eyes. TRADITIO predicted this outcome years ago, and now the disintegration is progressing at full speed.
Strike One. In June 2003, former Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating, a former FBI agent and associate U.S. Attorney General, and Chairman of the U.S. [Novus Ordo] Bishops' investigating committee publicly criticized the U.S. bishops in scathing terms, as quoted in the Los Angeles Times:
I certainly have concluded that a number of serious officials in my [Novus Ordo] faith have very clay feet. To act like La Cosa Nostra and hide and suppress, I think, is very unhealthy. Eventually it will all come out.
This statement sent chills up the spines of the Novus Ordo bishops. Their own chief investigator, a man of impeccable credentials, was calling them a Mafia. At the time TRADITIO speculated about when the Church of the New Order and its immoral bishops would be prosecuted under the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. After all, every Novus Ordo bishop in the United States has been involved to one degree or another, conspiring with each other, to conceal crime, to engineer payoffs of hush-money, and to steal from their parishioners to fund their activities across state lines.
Well, that time of reckoning for the New Order is here.
Strike Two. A Louisville attorney, William McMurry, filed a federal lawsuit against the New Vatican on June 7, accusing leaders of the Church of the New Order of orchestrating a cover-up of presbyters who allegedly molested thousands of American children. McMurry is seeking to have the lawsuit certified as a class-action case, stating in the suit that he believes there are "at least several thousand" victims nationwide.
In the lawsuit, McMurry said that the Vatican sought "to maintain its aura of infallibility and thereby ensure that its parishioners, followers, and financial contributors will not lose faith and fail to contribute money and property" to the Church.... This lawsuit is designed to lay the responsibility for all childhood sexual abuse committed by [bishops and presbyters] in America at the feet of the responsible party, and that's the Vatican." Said one Novus Ordo canon lawyer, Presbyter Tom Doyle, "The pattern and the practice of cover-up and denial is so similar throughout the United States and in other countries that the bishops must be getting their orders from somewhere." And that somewhere is right at the top, the Papal Apartments.
The bishops and the New Vatican have consistently used the arguments of false obedience and authority to force Novus Ordinarians to continue to contribute to collections, a significant portion of which is not going to the Church, but to pay off victims, while the bishops close down historic churches to sell the property for hush-money.
Hasn't McMurry hit the issue on the head? After all, it was the Vatican's illegal imposition of the New Morality of the post-Vatican II New Order that provided the climate in which this institutionalized depravity could take place. The pope himself has had every opportunity to discipline, defrock, or excommunicate the perpetrators, but he has declined to do so, instead promoting these criminal perverts to positions of even higher authority. McMurry is right: this corruption must ultimately be laid at the sandals of JPII, a man who is singularly unworthy to call himself a successor of St. Peter.
And Now Strike Three. A former Catholic seminarian is suing the Diocese of Tucson, its bishops, and Bishop Wilton Gregory, the President of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, among other high-ranking American prelates. The suit accuses the U.S. [Novus Ordo] Bishops of a pattern of racketeering activity exemplified by fraud and obstruction of justice.
Attorney Ivan Abrams filed the case under provisions of federal RICO (Racketeering Influence and Corrupt Organizations) statutes. The federal RICO law is a set of statutes that was initially directed at shutting down organized crime. Over the past two years, however, RICO has been used by some plaintiffs who argue that the Church cover-up of the clergy abuse crisis falls under RICO's provisions.
The plaintiff was studying at the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio, when he was ousted and blackballed from ordination because he blew the whistle on the immoral activities of presbyters. William Cardinal Keeler, of Baltimore, has been cited by name as a co-racketeer, together with former Tucson Bishop Manuel Moreno. Investigations have revealed "the same pattern of deception in the dioceses of Boston, Los Angeles, Saint Louis, Minneapolis, Chicago, Manchester, and Portland, Maine, to name but a few." The racketeering suit also states that the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops President Bishop Wilton Gregory assisted the defendants in the obstruction of justice.
The lawsuit summarized the charges as follows:
The actions of which [plaintiff] complains were committed by persons in pursuit of their own secular interests, who used the structure of the Roman Catholic Church as a shield behind which they could conduct their affairs in wanton and intentional disregard of the criminal and civil law of the State of Arizona and the United States of America, and in contempt of the tenets of their faith, and in deliberate flaunting of their nominal positions as officials and managers within the Roman Catholic Church.
Thus, the suit recognized what TRADITIO has been saying all along. The Church of the New Order and its prelates are a Counterfeit Church who are in contempt of the Roman Catholic Faith. They are no more bishops than Thomas Cranmer!
WHAT'S NEXT?
Bankruptcy and Exposure. The diocese of Tucson, Arizona, is on the verge of bankruptcy from having paid so much hush-money that its coffers are now virtually empty. Money in this and other dioceses is not being spent on charitable or religious works, but in paying off hush-money to innumerous suits by catamites and prostitutes. Portland, Oregon, has filed bankruptcy. Other dioceses will likely follow.
And with the filing of bankruptcy, the diocese's books will be opened to court inspection. TRADITIO's guess is that what we have heard so far is only the tip of the iceberg. Those books are going to show that the modern American bishops are mired in immorality to a degree that Pope Alexander VI never even conceived.
Did Bishops Order the Deaths of Whistleblowers? It is beginning to appear that these New Order bishops might not have stopped even at murder to conceal their crimes. Bishop Howard Hubbard, of Albany, New York, was exposed for having illegal sexual relations with a 16-year-old minor, although he has repeatedly, in a Clintonesque statement, has maintained that he has "never had sexual relations with anyone." Yet Hubbard has been caught in lie after lie.
Then, a presbyter of the Albany diocese, Fr. John Minkler, was found dead February 15. Three days before, the murdered presbyter was identified in a television news report as the author of a 1995 report addressed to New York's Cardinal John J. O'Connor. Among other things, the letter detailed "a ring" of Novus Ordo presbyters that included Howard Hubbard's alleged long-term sexual "relationships" with two younger Novus Ordo presbyters.
Then there is the troublesome case of Fr. Alfred Kunz, who was murdered at his rural Wisconsin parish. His throat was slit by a razor blade, and he bled to death before his body was discovered the next morning. Although the subject of one of the most extensive FBI investigations in Wisconsin history, the murder of Fr. Kunz remains a mystery. We do know, however, that less than two years after the death of Fr. Kunz, the bishop of Springfield, Illinois, Daniel Ryan, resigned after a prostitute identified the bishop as a regular high-paying client for eleven years. Was the murder a cover-up for the crimes going on in Springfield?
Good Catholics, it is undeniable now, after the perspective of forty years, that the entire organization of the Church of the New Order, both in the United States and Rome, is not the "New Springtime" that the New Order propaganda likes to speak of, but the filth of a septic tank. That filth can sit under the ground for years, without anyone being aware that it is there. But eventually the it rises to the top, and then everyone can see and smell the stink.
This is the unvarnished Church of the New Order, which has been able to conceal its denial of the Roman Catholic Faith under verbal ambiguities and an obedience code more stringent than Adolph Hitler's. Yet, the natural law of God will out. The filth is now rising to the surface before the whole word, and the Church of the New Order is exposed for what it is: a cesspool of organized crime, which has no right to call itself "Catholic." And its stink has now been "outed" before the whole world.
My, my. All this wrangling about a cookie. The Novus Ordo "Mess," you see, has turned what, in the Traditional Latin Mass for 2000 years, has been the Corpus Christi into a mere cookie. It isn't "consecrated" (the words of consecration were changed from the dogmatic ones). It isn't "bread" (not with diocesan recipes calling for butter, sugar, salt, cinnamon, vegetable oil, and baking powder; that's a cookie!). And who knows what the Novus Ordo presbyter intends when he babbles in the vernacular over a "table"? Thrice invalid.
Somebody ought to tell these "Catholic" bishops and "Catholic" politicians and "Catholic" neocon writers who are so exercised over all this nonsense that they're arguing over a mere cookie. If cookies are so important to them, they should go out and buy a bag of Mother's!
Frankly, I can't find it in my heart to condemn poor Kerry. Whether he eats cookies or not doesn't seem important to me. The man is only following what these corrupt Novus Ordo bishops taught him. And in a very proper action for a Catholic in doubt about moral question, he did the right thing (under normal circumstances). He consulted his confessor. Or actually he consulted The Pope's Grand High Poobah of Foggy Bottom, Cardinal Teddy McCarrick, and McCarrick said that his position was quite moral and quite Catholic.
Why, by the way, are the neocons so exercised about Kerry when Teddy Kennedy sits in the same U.S. Senate and eats the same Novus Ordo cookie? Kennedy who, soused on rum and beer, drove his car off a bridge into the Chappaquiddick drink and killed a young girl, Mary Jo Kopechne, whose own purpose in the car was suspect, she apparently being known as one of the "Boiler Room Girls." The Senior Senator from Massachusetts, a lawyer, proceeded to make 19 telephone calls, none of which was to the police or medics.
This wonderful Novus Ordo "Catholic," having already been convicted of "going away after knowingly causing injury to Mary Jo Kopechne without stopping and making known his name, residence and the number of his motor vehicle," now went on to divorce his wife of some 24 years, Virginia Joan Bennett, and three children, so that he, at 60 years of age, could fornicate with an already-divorced woman of 38 with two children, Victoria Anne Reggie. Yet Kennedy eats the cookie, and the neocon writers don't get exercised about that. By the way, Victoria "Kennedy," in a May 23 Washington Post opinion piece termed "dangerous" statements by New Order clergy saying they would deny the cookie to those who support abortion rights.
Even the news sources had to admit in re Cookiegate: "Individually, American bishops disagree over whether Communion should be used as a sanction." These unCatholic politicians have been well taught in the Church of the New Order:
I am very comfortable with my status, and quite frankly, my relationship with God is direct and personal, and the Church is merely a guest in that relationship." --U.S. Rep. James Langevin (D-Rhode Island)
Oops! That's outright heresy. It's Protestantism, which does not recognize that Our Lord Jesus Christ established a Church as His essential medium to continue his mission of dispensing grace and truth.
With the American Novus Ordo bishops being the prime teachers of Uncatholicism, is it any surprise that in Associated Press interviews with more than 75 "Catholic" politicians, none said that they are abstaining from the cookie over the issue?
Thus, the Church of the New Order has rightly lost its purported authority, along with its "mass" and its "sacraments." One Congressman, when chided by his bishop for his position on abortion, told the paedophile-pandering bishop point blank: "Bishop, you're hardly in a position to be lecturing anyone on morality." Nor is the pope, for that matter, who has not raised his voice against his own cardinals, bishops, and presbyters who are all engaging in the most vile immoralities.
The Church of the New Order is not Catholic. It's a counterfeit, a sham. And it is very, very sick. One can only hope that its disease will lead to a quick death, and then we can all get back to the true, sane Roman Catholic Church as the faithful have known it for 2000 years. [ABC News]
It has become undeniably clear in recent years just how laughable the New Order and its "New Mess" is. Even the pope has thrown his hands up. He makes no effort to stop the so-called "abuses." In fact, the pope is the most visible abuser. So bad have his Papal Messes gotten that even a few cardinals had to complain that they were more like Broadway musicals than the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Whatever they are -- "Messes" or services -- they certainly aren't Catholic Masses in any sense of that term that 2000 years of Saints would have recognized.
Now we have the Master Clown in charge of what passes for "liturgy" in the New Order trying to "spin" the disaster. Francis Cardinal Arinze, in a July 17 talk at a New Order college, let the cat out of the bag. "The Holy Father is aware of difficulties and erroneous applications and exaggerations." Yes, like JPII's own Mess a few years ago over the very Confession of St. Peter, at which six men stood by the altar dressed in loincloths and holding large spears. (And they complain about women's dress!)
As to those who fall in with the "Indult" Mass, the Cardinal has a few choice words. If you consider "the old rites as the sole guarantee of certainty in faith," you're out of step, says the Cardinal. You are instead "invited to retrace your steps to full faith in the Church and unity and fidelity in her celebrations." In other words, the "Indult" is nowhere. Get with the Novus Ordo Mess!
The cardinal then with on with the de rigeur sycophancy to JPII: "The quarter-century of the pontificate of Pope John Paul II has brought many blessings to the Church also in the liturgical field." Well, let's list them here. First of all the pope's own Messes:

Catholics need to stop being what California's Governor Schwarzenegger has called "girlie men" and stand up for their traditional Faith and all that goes with it. And when they do, they move mountains.
The Mohammedan-loving New Order didn't think that the traditional statue of St. James the Moor-Slayer (Santiago Matamoros) was "oecumenical" enough for the Saint's shrine at Compostela, Spain, one of Catholicism's greatest shrines of pilgrimage. Unlike the present pope, who would sell out Catholicism to Mohammedan terrorists in the name of New Order "oecumenism," the St. James statue tells another story -- the story that on several occasions when the Mohammedans were prepared to invade Europe and make it Mohammedan by force (a goal that they still have today), it was the Church that stood against them and was victorious.
When the faithful learned of the "oecumenical" plans to dump the traditional statue of their Patron Saint, they rose up in outrage. One newspaper commentator dubbed it "political correctness gone mad." People gathered in strength to place flowers at the foot of the statue, and newspapers published letters of complaint condemning the "intolerable heresy."
Outrage worked. The president of the cathedral's art commission admitted that "due to public anger over the proposed move, the statue will now remain in place. It is still here on the same spot. It is not going anywhere."
Today, July 25, the Saint's feastday, in a ceremony that will resound with ancient symbolism, King Juan Carlos will pay homage to the Moor-Slayer on his saint day by making the annual National Offering at Santiago. Praised be St. James, truly a Saint for our time. [UK Telegraph]
Just another indication that the Church of the New Order is not just unCatholic, but crazy and laughable, is the so-called "Charismatic" Movement, which it embraces. These Charismatic crazies are pure pagans. There is nothing Catholic about them. They bear a closer resemblance to the ancient orgy religions of Greece and Egypt (they never did catch on in more sober Rome). The very name of the "Catholic Fraternity of Charismatic Covenant Communities" is a deception, as the group is not Catholic, but includes Protestant heretics, Eastern Orthodox schismatics, and "messianic" Jews.
The movement talks a good deal about the "Holy Spirit," but the "spirit" is more like that found in a sports match than the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church about the Third Person of the Most Blessed Trinity. The crazies think that they gibber in strange tongues, in a total misreading of Sacred Scripture.
Charismaticism is a particularly virulent modern-day mania infecting the Church of the New Order, which has its roots deep in heresies condemned by the Church: Gnosticism, Messalianism, Montanism, and Nominalism, among others. The roots of modern-day Charismaticism (Pentecostalism) go back to 1901 when a group of Methodists at a Topeka, Kansas, prayer meeting began "experiencing the spirit." The emotional prayer style soon spread throughout the Assemblies of God, as well as other small Protestant denominations.
The Charismatic Movement in the American Novus Ordo Church traces its beginnings to a "spirit-filled" graduate student and faculty retreat at Duquesne University in 1967. Protestant Pentecostal prayer forms such as speaking in tongues (glossalalia) and being "baptized in the Holy Ghost" took hold. The movement is closely associated with the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD, which was perfectly traditional before Vatican II, but afterwards was corrupted), Taize, "oecumenism," Marriage Encounter, the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA), Renew, Focolare, Cursillo, and Wicca (White Witchcraft).
The late Archbishop Dwyer, of Portland, Oregon, one of the few relatively traditional bishops after Vatican II, in a scathing criticism of the Charismatic movement, warned in 1974: "We regard it bluntly as one of the most dangerous trends in the Church in our time, closely allied in spirit with other disruptive and divisive movements threatening grave harm to unity and damage to countless souls."
What Archbishop Dwyer said of the movement in 1974 is far worse thirty years later. Now it boasts within its membership some of the worst minions of the Church of the New Order, Scott Hahn, the former (?) Pope-Is-a-Whore Protestant Fundamentalist being a prominent leader among them. That unCatholic EWTN cable network gives him a podium to spew his unCatholic charismatic propaganda.

The gift of language is one of God's greatest gifts to man. It is inextricably associated with the "image of God," (Genesis 1:27/DRV), that is, reason. No other species on earth has dialectical language (no, whales don't understand syllogisms!). The Roman Catholic Faith produced monuments of reason through language, and, first among all of these, the incomparable synthesis of Catholic theology entitled Summa Theologica, by St. Thomas Aquinas, which has been canonized as the Church own official theology. Together with St. Jerome's Latin Vulgate Bible, St. Thomas' work rested upon the lectern in the midst of the Fathers of the Council of Trent.
At the time of Vatican II, the Church of the New Order decided to corrupt this great gift of God by making language meaningless. Actually Vatican II was not the originator of this idea. It originated with the Modernist heretics of the 19th century and was most prominently exposed by a fine writer named George Orwell, who was not even Catholic. Vatican II seems to have used the concepts condemned in Orwell's Politics and the English Language (1964) to the hilt.
If one reads the remarkable works of the councils and popes of the Church before Vatican II, one is impressed with the remarkable clarity, precision, and succinctness of the documents. I recommend as a particular example of this clarity the Apostolic Letter of Pope Leo XIII, Apostolicae Curae, declaring invalid the Orders, and therefore the "Mass," of the Anglicans. This important document, which a fortiori applies to the Novus Ordo, runs maybe ten pages. To contrast, the current pope's Fides et Ratio runs some 200 pages of the worst gobbledygook you will ever read. No wonder nobody pays attention to this pope's words.
Through the vernacularization of theological subjects, the Modernists were able to change the meaning of all of Catholic theology. As I have said before, the New Order could not have been put over in Latin; it needed vernacularization for its deception.
In a recent interview, a Vatican Radio reporter asked Presbyter Marco Rupnik, of the Pontifical Oriental Institute about the Eastern Orthodox schism and the Filioque doctrine, that the Holy Ghost proceeds from the Father and the Son, which the Eastern Orthodox deny: "So there is agreement on points of view on the question of the Holy Ghost?"
Notice Rupnik's answer: "From a dogmatic point of view, there is agreement on points of view, as the Holy Father says. That is, there are no things that separate us irremediably. Today also, given the events that take place in the world, the very rapid evolution of culture, I think that it is really difficult to find reasons to remain divided." [Zenit]
Agreement? Really? In spite of previous popes and councils condemning the error and declaring the Eastern Orthodox schismatic? Why, then, is it that the pope joins the Eastern Schismatics in omitting the Filioque from the Creed (when Eastern Schismatics are present), but the Eastern Schismatic Oecumenical Patriarch has never added the Filioque. Another theological one-way street, eh?
Then we have Jean-Louis Cardinal Tauran, Librarian and Archivist of the Holy Roman Church, and former Secretary for Relations with States, who mouthed at a May 27 "Christian-Muslim Dialogue" that New Order statement so reeking of the Heresy of Indifferentism: "we are believers in the same God." The God of the Mohammedans is most certainly not the God of the Christians. Our Lord Jesus Christ is not God to them, but a mere "prophet," like so many others. Moreover, Our Blessed Lady is reviled by the Mohammedans in the Koran.
For this, we have not the authority of some purported cardinal, but of Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself:
And Jesus came into the quarters of Cesarea Philippi: and he asked his disciples, saying: Whom do men say that the Son of man is? But they said: Some John the Baptist, and other some Elias, and others Jeremias, or one of the prophets. Jesus saith to them: But whom do you say that I am? Simon Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answering said to him: Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jona: because flesh and blood hath not revealed it to thee, but my Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 16:14-17/DRV)
Our Lord's language is clear. Precise language, however, means nothing to the Church of the New Order, which delights in fuzziness. Why? If doctrines are fuzzy, if moral teachings are fuzzy, you can't call anyone on them. Otherwise, how could the pope join the Eastern schismatics in their error? Otherwise, how could he pray in Rome's Jewish synagogue for the coming of the Messias? No, to the Church of the New Order, language means nothing. It is simply a political tool to get political power in the name of a One-World Government.
George Orwell saw this ruse not in 1984, but already in 1946!
We often hear these days that traditional Catholics must retain "communion" (whatever that means) with the New Order and its unCatholic bishops. That it is "schismatic" not to "negotiate" with the New Order for such crumbs as an "indult" Mass. We have bishops even from supposedly traditional societies who foolishly dare to "negotiate" with officials of the Church of the New Order. Such actions could not be farther from the attitude of true Catholics.
Here are a few historical examples. In the fourth century, when, St. Jerome and others tell us, most of the "Catholic" bishops were Arian heretics, if a heretic was appointed as bishop, the Catholic people would not attend his Masses or receive his Sacraments or even speak to him.
So much did real Catholics at that time abhor the heresy of "new doctrines" that after the heretic bishop used the public baths, the water was drawn off as having been rendered impure by his touch. On one occasion, when a ball some boys were playing with rolled between the legs of a donkey the bishop was riding, they cried out with horror and passed the ball through fire to remove the spiritual infection before playing with it again. (An early version of "cooties"!)
St. Martin of Tours, certainly one of the greatest Saints of the Church and particularly known for his charity (the Church of the New Order would call it "love"), absolutely refused to have any conversation with heretic bishops.
Modern Catholics should learn from such saintly predecessors. Heresy, new orders, new doctrines, new liturgies, new morals -- these are not Catholic, and the pushers of them, whether they be simple laypeople or prelates of the Church, should be treated as not part of the Catholic body of Christ.
It is perhaps only because our modern minds are so prurient that virtually the only focus from the press, whether religious or secular, on corruption in the Church of the New Order is on sex scandals. That is only the tip of the iceberg. In many ways, the sex stuff is far from the worst that is going on in the rotting core of Newchurch.
We need to get our priorities back in order. You see some people getting hot and bothered about abortion, as if it were the only issue. Others are concerned about "gay marriage." Each political "cause," not that such causes aren't important, has its own one-issue boards and one-issue committees and political-action groups. But they miss the big picture: what is God's perspective?
There can be no doubt of this. He told us by His own mouth. "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart and with thy whole soul and with thy whole mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment" (Matthew 22:37-38/DRV). The First Commandment, as we know from Exodus and Deuteronomy, is this: "I am the Lord thy God.... Thou shalt not have strange gods before me" (Exodus 20:2-3/DRV).
The First Commandment, then, relates first to man's relationship to God, and that is expressed through man's religion and worship. Not just any religion and not just any worship concocted by man, but the true religion and the true worship that God established. The true religion and the true worship, as taught to us by Our Lord Jesus Christ, by his Apostles, by the Fathers and Doctors of the Church -- that religion and worship is the traditional Roman Catholic Faith, not some man-made, counterfeit religion of a self-proclaimed Church of the New Order. But I digress.
The bigger scandal I am talking about, the one that is being swept pretty much under the rug by all because it's too embarrassing, is that New Order bishops and presbyters are robbing the Church blind. They are stealing from widows and orphans. They are stealing from the poor. And that is also one of the sins that Sacred Scripture says cries to heaven for vengeance.
You don't hear the pope talking about it, do you? No, he is too cowardly, too embarrassed to admit publicly that his own cardinals, his own archbishops, his own bishops, and his own presbyters are stealing the poor Novus Ordinarians' money. They are stealing it to pay off catamites, as Archbishop Weakland of Milwaukee did. And the pope did nothing. They are stealing it to pay hush money, as Card. Law and virtually every other bishop and archbishop in the United States has done. And the pope appointed Law to a cushy new job!
And now we find that presbyters of the Church of the New Order don't even hesitate to rob the old and the dying, as The New York Post reports one Manhattan "monsignor" of the New Order Church is accused of doing. This monsignor is accused of bilking an elderly parishioner out of $500,000, and "hundreds of thousands of dollars" are missing from his church. And what did this New Order monsignor use the money for? To maintain the beautiful traditional churches in his diocese that are going under the wrecking ball? Oh, no. He spent $100,000 of the church's money to buy a "luxury condo on the Jersey Shore."
Are the Novus Ordinarians daft when they put their money into the collection plate? No, they are criminals. They can no longer claim ignorance. The evidence is overwhelming that their money is being used for crime and corruption. They can't plead material complicity based on ignorance. Their actions are now crossing over into formal complicity in crime. There is supposed to be so much "love" in the Church of the New Order, I wonder how these Novus Ordinarians explain away the fact that their money is going to support the vilest, most immoral actions on the part of their New Order bishops.
Well, maybe the Novus Ordinarians are daft after all. Do you know what these Novus Ordo parishioners did about their monsignor? Did they express justifiable outrage? Did they demand their money back? Oh, no. The "monsignor" received a standing ovation when he emerged from performing the Counterfeit Mess. Even Card. Egan and the archdiocese were scandalized. And after all they've done, it takes a lot to redden their faces!
Remember old Fr. Stephen Zigrang? He was that pastor from Houston who, after a lifetime of dishing out the Novus Ordo Mess to his parishioners became something of a hero with the semi-traditional Catholics, because he switched to the "Indult" Mass and then was kicked out of his parish by Bishop Joseph Fiorenza. All the more power to him, but let us not forget the real heroes of the Traditional Roman Catholic Movement: Fr. Gommar DePauw, Fr. James Wathen, Fr. Paul Wickens, Abp. Marcel Lefebvre, and a handful of others.
Round Two. Zigrang comes back to the bishop with some priests from the Society of St. Pius X for a meeting. They try to schmooze the bishop with chocolates and liquor. The bishop, a much shrewder man than they, bluffs them with soft words and tricks Zigrang into signing a waiver of all his rights as pastor. In return, for a time, Zigrang is allowed to live a life in limbo, a kind of gray existence as a Displaced Person, teaching Latin at the local SSPX site.
Round Three. The bishop, a week after the meeting, publishes a letter in the diocesan newspaper condemning Zigrang and the Society of St. Pius X. So much for "negotiations" with the New Order.
Round Four. Now that the publicity has died down, Fiorenza lowers the boom on July 2: "I inform you that, effective immediately, you are suspended from the celebration of all sacraments, the exercise of governance and all rights attached to the office of pastor."
As a "cradle" Roman Catholic, I have seen the duplicity, hypocrisy, and just plan evil of the Church of the New Order for forty years now. There are very few around writing about the Church who can say that. TRADITIO accurately predicted the course of events that this case would follow almost a year ago.
And yet we still have semi-traditional Catholics who don't get the picture. They still hold out for the validity of the Counterfeit Novus Ordo Mess. The Mess is not a Mass. It was fabricated (there is no dispute about this point) by a Freemason archbishop and six Protestant ministers. This Counterfeit Mess, this Great Facade, spits in the face of Our Lord Jesus Christ, His Apostles, the Popes and Councils, Fathers and Doctors of the Church for 1900 years. The semi-traditional Catholics would still have the faithful take their arsenic; they just want the arsenic sugar-coated!
Good Catholics, it is hard to imagine any real Catholic who can't see that the Novus Ordo in its essence is poison to the Roman Catholic Faith. It is hard to deny any longer that the Novus Ordo service, in any version, is unCatholic, sacrilegious, irreverent, scandalous, blasphemous, idolatrous, and putatively invalid, because it fails to meet one or more of the three criteria established in Catholic dogmatic and sacramental theology for a valid Mass and most cogently in Pope Leo XIII's Apostolic Letter Apostolicae Curae. It's not a matter of dressing up the Counterfeit Mess with a little Latin. It's not a matter of putting some Novus Ordinarians into Franciscan costumes and having them sing a little chant. It's not a matter of having a few presbyters say the "Indult" Mass. It's not even a matter of celebrating the 1962 Mass at the same time that you "negotiate" with the representatives of the New Order in Rome.
No, it is a matter holding to the Roman Catholic Faith, handed down to us in Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition by Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Apostles, taught down through the ages intact by the Fathers and Doctors, Popes and Councils of the Church. It is a matter of holding to that Faith not 50%, not even 90%, but 100% -- "with thy whole heart and with thy whole soul and with thy whole mind" (Matthew 22:37/DRV).
One of the clearest marks of a sick society is the perversion of good things to evil purposes. Word comes from Japan that Japanese young people, mostly men, are wearing rosary beads these days in a "fashion trend" that has nothing to do with religion. The fashion items are being snapped up by Japanese youths after popular entertainers were photographed wearing rosaries as necklaces. [CNS]
The same blasphemous use of the crucifix can be seen all around us. Tattooed thugs dangle large crucifixes around their necks. Characters in movies perform the vilest acts while the crucifix visibly dangles around their necks.
Well, can you blame them? The Church of the New Order, from the pope on down, has taught them that the holy has become unholy, the reverent has become irreverent, that truth has become a lie, goodness has become perversion, and beauty has become ugliness. These poor dolts are just following the teaching and example of the pope, the cardinals, the bishops, and the presbyters, who in the end will bear the real responsibility. "The floor of Hell is paved with the skulls of rotten bishops" --St. John Chrysostom, Doctor of the Church.
Since the Novus Ordo service is not a sacrifice, it does not need priests. Therefore, the Church of the New Order no longer officially uses the term priest for its personnel. The official term since the Novus Ordo Missae was released in 1969 is presbyter, which literally in Greek means elder. No longer in the Novus Ordo ordination rite are priests ordained to offer Mass for the living and the dead and to forgive sin, as priests ordained in the traditional Roman rite are. Instead, Novus Ordo presbyters are ordained to "preside over the assembly."
But all that historical background aside, it appears that the Novus Ordo presbyters, who of course aren't really Catholic, but some kind of counterfeit, now don't even have to pretend to be Catholic. Here we have the case, as reported by the Monastic Interreligious Dialogue (MID), of one Kevin Hunt, a Trappist monk of St. Joseph's Abbey in Spencer, Massachusetts, and a former member of the MID board, being installed as a Zen teacher (Sensei) in a ceremony held at the abbey.
The installation was led by Fr. Robert Kennedy, the only North American Jesuit who is also a Zen Master (Roshi) and who served as Kevin's teacher. The installation was witnessed by the abbot of St. Joseph's and the rest of the monastic community, as well as by over seventy guests, including Zen teachers and members of Novus Ordo religious orders from around the country. So, you Novus Ordinarians, don't claim that this nonsense didn't have Novus Ordo "approval"!
Good Catholics, the New Order isn't Catholic. No way! These people don't know true Roman Catholicism from a squatting, fat-gutted oriental. This is the fruit of "oecumenism," which is a deceitful vehicle of the New One-World Secular Order. Thomas Merton, that mad monk who electrocuted himself in a bathtub while visiting a Buddhist conference in Bangkok, started a lot of this craziness in the religious orders, just around the time of Vatican II.
The secularist Buddhist philosophy (it is not really a religion because Buddhism is essentially atheist) has been interjected into Novus Ordo religious orders since then. Thus, you see the profusion in the Church of the New Order of mantras, labyrinths, enneagrams, yoga, etc. -- all characteristic of Buddhism and similar pagan religions/philosophies.
The duplicitous German Cardinal Ratzinger has done it again. You know that if the New Vatican's "Doctrine of the Faith" congregation is in the hands of this man, there will be no Faith left. "But yet the Son of man, when he cometh, shall he find, think you, faith on earth?" (Luke 18:8/DRV).
Already he has promoted the heresy that Christ did not come to save the Jews, only the Gentiles. Now, after having sent a private (why was it private, by the way?) rebuke to Cardinal McCarrick of politicians who abandoned their Catholic moral principles, Ratzinger was trumped by the same cardinal and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, who rejected his rebuke. Now was Ratzinger's time for honesty -- and he failed.
Instead of condemning the U.S. New Order Bishops, he fell right into line with them! Black is white, and white is black in the Church of the New Order. There is no truth, goodness, or beauty there, just loyalty to "The Organization." No wonder the pope, the cardinals, and the bishops are still suborning immorality on the part of their fellow prelates, and the sex scandal is getting worse rather than better, as the bishops' own independent investigating committee has reported.
Ratzinger's rebuke indicated that immoral "Catholic" politicians should refrain from the Novus Ordo kookie. But once McCarrick & Co. had voted the other way, Ratzinger himself went the other way with them, writing on July 9 that the opposing McCarrick statement "is very much in harmony" with his own statement.
Come on now, Ratzinger. Does the sun rise in the West? Do you care? No, it is "The Organization," the Juggernaut of the New Vatican, right or wrong, that counts. Now where did I hear that principle enunciated before? Perhaps in Germany? Perhaps about sixty years ago?

You've got to hand it to Mel Gibson. He's a gutsy guy. And he stands up for his traditional Roman Catholic Faith, even after having been blasted continuously for a year by the Jewish Defense League and the Secular Liberalists.
What I like about Gibson is that he is a man of action. He doesn't talk about the destruction of the Church by Vatican II and its henchmen. As a matter of fact, he doesn't talk about it all that much at all. He acts.
You read in TRADITIO a couple of weeks ago about the fact that the Los Angeles County Supervisors, including its Catholic members, prostrated themselves before the Nebucodonossor of the ACLU (American Civil Loonies Union), which had merely threatened a lawsuit over the fact that there was a tiny cross in the L.A. County Seal. Now, I'll bet most Los Angeleans had never even seen their county seal! The ACLU, however, was not offended by the fact that the most prominent figure in the county seal was a pagan goddess. You see, in our benighted present-day America, paganism is A-okay. It's just Christianity that is legally condemned.
Well, Gibson is now using more of the money that dedicated Christians gave him by rejecting the silly "anti-Semitic" attacks of the ADL's Abraham Foxman and viewing his The Passion of the Christ in numbers so great that it is now among the ten top-grossing films of all time -- and that's even before the release of the DVD!
Gibson is already giving a Braveheart's slap in the face to Caiphas Mahoney by building, out of funds earned from The Passion of the Christ, a beautiful, traditional church dedicated to the Holy Family in Los Angeles archdiocese to counter that arch-heretic's pagan monstrosity of a cathedral, the Taj Mahoney.
Now we have learned that Mel is donating $140,000 to keep Christ's Cross in the L.A. county seal, representing the Cross that Padre Junipero Serra and his Franciscan missionaries brought to California in the late 18th and early 19th centuries and thereby forever changed the complexion of that once great state. According to sources close to Icon Films, Gibson's production company, the Hollywood actor-director will actively take part in a campaign that was begun by a religious group to protest against the removal of the Cross on the official Los Angeles county seal. The Herald Sun reported that Gibson expressed his disappointment over the proposed scrapping of the cross because of legal threats from civil rights groups (read: American Civil Liberties Union).
As reported in TRADITIO, a public-interest law firm has already filed a lawsuit in federal district court in California, seeking to prevent county officials from removing the cross from the county's official seal. The lawsuit was brought on behalf of Ernesto Vasquez, a county employee, who objects to the removal of the cross because it sends a government-sponsored message of hostility towards Christians in violation of the United States Constitution. It seems that Braveheart and the Patriot is one of those few who doesn't talk traditional Catholicism, but puts his money where his mouth is. We could all learn from his example of fortitudo in fide.

Vatican II began to invade the Maronite Rite decades ago. The foreword in the June 1969 Maronite missal (The Divine Liturgy according to the Maronite Antiochian Rite, Maronite Chancery Office, Detroit) says:
It is a small step toward the total revision of our Liturgy, because our Maronite Missal should undergo changes even more basic than the present ones. We are anxiously awaiting the revisions of the Patriarchal Liturgical Commission. They have started working on the total revision of our Missal, Ritual, Pontifical, Calendar, Breviary, and public prayers.
The current Maronite Missal (Qurbono: The Book of Offering, copyright 1994 by the Diocese of Saint Maron, Brooklyn) states in its foreword that the new Maronite liturgy is based on Vatican II decrees.
Traditional Latin Rite Catholics should be made aware that the Eastern rites have been corrupted and continue to be further corrupted by Vatican II than the Novus Ordo. If they are not aware of this, they may begin to think that the Novus Ordo has some credibility, because they see some aspects in it of what they think to be an ancient Eastern Liturgy.
Fr. Moderator Replies.
Thank you for that inside report as an Eastern-rite Catholic. The question often comes to me whether the Eastern rites of the Church offer any safe harbor in place of the Novus Ordo. They do not.
First of all, note that the Eastern rites are practiced both by the Eastern Orthodox, who are schismatic from the Roman Catholic Church, and by the Eastern Unitates, who are part of the Roman Catholic Church. The liturgical scholar Fr. Adrian Fortescue once wrote:
The ruthless destruction of the ancient rites in favor of uniformity has been the work not of Rome but of the schismatical patriarchs of Constantinople. Since the thirteenth Century Constantinople in its attempt to make itself the one center of the Orthodox Church has driven out the far more venerable and ancient liturgies of Antioch and Alexandria and has compelled all the Orthodox to use its own late derived rite.
It is true now that the Eastern Rites are in worse shape than the Western, if that is possible. At one time the Easterns had Apostolic rites, but many have now fallen away from these, because of the constant wars and conquests of invasion in the East (from which the Western Church has thankfully been spared).
Many of these churches have given up their Apostolic rites and liturgical languages to substitute a vernacularized, even concocted, worship (as with the "Western Orthodox," a sham to lure Roman Catholics to cross the fence into the Orthodox schism). This is particularly true of the Eastern rites in the United States. The Uniates have the additional problem of corruptions by Neo-Modernism introduced into their rites after Vatican II, as you have pointed out.
There is the occasional church with an Eastern-rite liturgy that has not been corrupted by history or Vatican II, but such a church is more by far like the proverbial needle in the haystack than the Traditional Latin Mass is! Moreover, Catholics are prohibited by canon law from switching rites, particularly from the Roman to the Eastern, since the Roman rite is the precedential rite of the Roman Catholic Church, the historical rite of the papal see, the rite of St. Peter. Their obligation, in faith, is to fight for the Roman Mass, not become a Novus Ordo Easterner.
According to the Fatima apparition, Portugal was supposed not to lose the Faith. Well, if it hasn't, it's coming awfully close. The bishop of Leiria-Fatima, Serafim de Sousa Ferreira e Silva is behind the destruction of the Fatima basilica and building in its place an Oecumenical Modernist monstrosity. He has also sponsored the performance of pagan Hindu rites on the Altar of the Apparitions.
Now, word comes from Expresso that bishop Antonio Mercelino of Aveiro, considered to be one of Portugal's most liberal Novus Ordo bishops, is planning to perform the Novus Ordo Mess in August at some of the region's most popular beaches and at a popular nearby spa. This is the same "bishop" who has argued in the past that the New Vatican should consider the possibility of ordaining women as priestesses.
And how is the Novus Ordo going in Portugal? About as badly as in the United States. Although the vast majority of Portuguese are said to continue to identify themselves as "Catholic," you'd never know it by the declining attendance at local churches in recent years. Apparently, the novelty of the Novus Ordo, the vernacular, and the clown-presbyters has worn off, and the Portuguese have deserted Our Lady of Fatima for the beaches.
You still hear from the New Order how wonderful Newchurch is. The wonderful Messes, the wonderful charismaticism, the wonderful vernacularism, the wonderful bishops, the wonderful pope. You Catholics have often wondered how can this be true when the Roman Catholic Church is being destroyed. The answer is simple: it's simply not true. It's all part of Modernist trick to deceive Catholics by telling lies so often that people believe them. Of course, this technique is nothing new. Nazi propaganda minister Hermann Goebbels said that if you told a lie often enough, people would believe it.
What is the truth? Well, let's look at new information about what's going on in Catholicism in the England and Wales, as provided by the UK News Telegraph. "Novus Ordo presbyters are rapidly becoming an endangered species." New figures show that this year only 18 new presbyters are due to be ordained in the whole country of England and Wales, a drop of over half in just one year.
2004: 18 new presbyters
2003: 44 new presbyters
2002: 63 new presbyters
2001: 34 new presbyters
In half of the English-Welsh Church's 22 dioceses there will be no ordinations at all, according to the figures compiled by the Church's National Vocation Office. Currently, there is one presbyter for every 1058 Novus Ordinarians. Just 24 years ago, in 1980, there was one for every 571 -- a drop of half in that period. In the next ten years, the number is expected to halve again.
Nor can all this be set down to the child-abuse scandal (oh, yes, this is a worldwide phenomenon in Newchurch). "The child abuse scandal has been a contributory factor, but numbers were in decline long before," said Fr. Shaun Middleton, the parish priest of St. Francis of Assisi in Notting Hill, London, and a former spokesman for the National Council of Priests.
And what about that other Modernist myth, that if only presbyters could marry, the seminaries couldn't hold the numbers of new applicants. Well, Presbyter Middleton puts the lie to that one too. "I do not believe that allowing priests to marry would solve the problem because it would raise a new set of difficulties and may not have much impact on falling numbers."
Could it be that the vaunted "springtime of Vatican II" has been dying since it started, but the Church of the New Order just continued to lie about it?
The Church of the New Order in Ireland is even worse off. Now, what country was more Catholic than Ireland? Ireland once provided an abundant supply of priests but since Vatican II only one will be ordained in the Dublin diocese this year and none the next. There are such difficulties in attracting vocations to the Novus Ordo in Ireland that its archbishops are desperate to roll in the popemobile. According to the Belfast Telegraph, "it would be a very big mistake" for the Church to believe that a high turn-out for a visit by the pope this autumn would mean "that Irish Catholicism is alive and kicking. It is about as robust and vigorous as that poor old man himself."
Today we bring you from the usual bedrock of sanity, the United States Midwest, the "Family Mess" at St. John the Baptist Parish in Newburgh, Indiana, as heralded on its own web site. (Believe me, folks, I don't make this stuff up. I'm not that imaginative! These Novus Ordinarians do the work for me, relishing in publicizing their lunacy.)
Here we have Presbyter Joseph Ziliak performing the "Family Mess." Presbyter Ziliak spares nothing in the latest of glassware, when traditionally Our Lord rests only upon the most precious of metals, gold. But, then, the Novus Ordo can't confect the Sacrament anyway. The cookie remains a cookie, and the grape juice remains grape juice. No transubstantiation here.
But what I love about so many of these Novus Ordo Messes is that after all the propaganda about how the use of the "vernacular" language engenders so much "participation," here we see the real thing. The kids loll around the "sanctuary," not even looking at what's going on -- their backs to the presbyter, their backs to the altar, their backs to the crucifix. This is truly a symbol of the New Mess: turn your backs on everything, including God.
Here a Novus Ordo presbyter from the pope's supposedly "conservative" country performs the Mess like Sitting Bull, in Karibo, Tanzania, in 1999. St. Paul teaches us: "That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those that are in heaven, on earth, and under the earth" (Philippians 2:10/DRV). You see, the Novus Ordo doesn't like external expressions of submission to Christ, Who is now merely "our friend," not the Judge of the World.
Traditional Catholic priests never sit before the Lord. Only when the Mass stops, and the sermon is given (which is not a part of the Mass -- the reason why the priest sits), or when the schola or choir sings the texts that he has already recited at the altar, does the priest sit.
Here we have an idyllic setting. A Polish presbyter performs the New Mess out of a throw-away missalette in a field, on May 24, 2004. Better watch out, presbyter. While you read, the ants are eating your kookie! One kid at least has the decency to kneel. The rest just loll around. On girl lolls on her back and looks the other way. (Lolling around seems to be the central characteristic of these New Messes, wouldn't you say?)

If an individual lives in an area where no traditional Catholic Latin Masses are offered, what should he do about attending Mass? Since the Novus Ordo Messes are not valid, should the individual just wait until he gets the chance to travel to a Traditional Latin Mass?
Fr. Moderator Replies.
The unavailability of the true Mass is no justification to attend an invalid, Protestant-Masonic-Pagan, phony Novus Ordo "service." You might as well go to the Methodist church down the street as go to a Novus Ordo service. Usually, the Novus Ordo service is worse (if that is possible) than conservative mainline Protestant church services. Both, of course, are intolerable.
I am amazed at how often this question is asked, as if the inquirers think that there is something new about the unavailability of Mass. But this is certainly not a problem limited to the post-Vatican II period. If you think of it, many Catholics over the last 2000 years have had this problem because of persecutions, wars, geographical distance, lack of priests, etc. Just think of your Catholic forebears under the Roman persecutions of the first to fourth centuries, the English under the Elizabethan persecutions of the 16th century, the Japanese after the missionaries were forced to leave in the 17th century, the American colonists and Canadian fur trappers of the 18th century, etc.
It might well be correct to say that in the history of the Church, most Catholics never had the blessing of worshipping at a Mass every Sunday, much less receive the other Sacraments. Our modern perspective is skewed because, for a short period of time before Vatican II, we were generally blessed with churches, chapels, oratories, priests, and religious in surfeit. There were so many priests in Ireland for instance, that many of them emigrated to the United States.
So, if you are in a position of not having a Traditional Latin Mass at which to worship every Sunday, first of all tend to your own soul by the time-tested practices for Catholics in that situation. Remember too that when you are able to travel to a true Mass, even if it is only once or twice a year, the graces you are receiving are incalculable, whereas at the Novus Ordo Mess you are objectively losing all grace by participating in sacrilege, blasphemy, irreverence, scandal, and idolatry.
After you have established regular traditional practices for the sake of your own soul, then try to build a traditional Catholic community slowly in your area. That may start by being two people saying the Rosary together, reading spiritual works together and discussing them, studying the Propers of the Missal, discussing articles in TRADITIO's Library of Files (FAQs and Apologetics), viewing Catholic videotapes, or any of many other possibilities.
Once a small community has been formed, check TRADITIO's list of Traditional Catholic Priests Available and the Traditional Directory for priests nearby, and invite one of them to say Mass for you. Even if it is only a couple of times a year, that is two times more than you have now. From the little mustard seed, your faith will grow quite a bush.
And for those of you who have a priest who professes the traditional Roman Catholic Faith, celebrates the Traditional Latin Mass, and administers the traditional Sacraments, support him, help him, be loyal to him, pray for him. You have a very special gift for which hundreds of thousands of traditional Catholics around the world are praying ceaselessly.
There are over 600 Traditional Latin Masses available in the United States and Canada and as many traditional priests. Yet I find that many Catholics who have a Mass within reasonable access prefer to moan in time-wasting internet "chat rooms" rather than to get off their derrières and get to Holy Mass. Or to complain about not having "daily Mass" when then can't even get to Sunday Mass.
Our Lord is waiting for you, more closely than you think. He doesn't ask you to drag a heavy cross under the hot Middle-Eastern sun, have nails driven into your hands and feet, and have your side slashed open with a sword. He might, however, ask you to make just a little more effort to worship Him at the Sacrifice of the Mass that He established for you. How can you say no to Him and call yourself a Catholic?

I was told that the perverted priests who have been molesting little kids is not a New Order "thing," but has been going on even before the Second Vatican Council and the Novus Ordo Mess. I was told that bishops during the 1940s and 1950s were doing the same exact thing, moving the perverted priests around to different parishes and not punishing them. Would you mind clarifying this for me so I can know what really is true?Fr. Moderator Replies.
Human nature is human nature. Immorality has been going on since Adam. The undeniable fact, however, is that from a very small number before Vatican II, this "thing" has skyrocketed out of all proportion since the "New Morality" of the Church of the New Order, to the point that not just presbyters, but ten New Order bishops are under criminal indictment or other censure for moral corruption and embezzlement of church funds.
In the 1940s and 1950s, not this despicable immorality, but too much of the grape was more of a problem. It reminds me of a survey done by one of the news magazines a few years back. What was the worst offence that went on in schools in the 1950s? Chewing gum. What was the worst offence that went on in schools in the 1970s? Murder.
But I digress. The comparative lack of the problem before the Church of the New Order certainly stands to reason. In 1950, no one would even use sexual terms in polite conversation. I remember that the secular psychology texts studied then would shift from the vernacular into Latin when these areas were discussed. (In many ways, I wish we could return to that decorum! Latin is a very useful language for so many purposes.)
Now, our English word gay has been corrupted from a good meaning into a foul sense. "Gay marriage" is being seriously contemplated by our Catholic legislators, and the bishops of the New Order Church are openly or covertly supporting "gaity."
Before the Church of the New Order, adultery and divorce were condemned as immoral. Homosexuality was regarded as a horrible aberration, openly condemned (when the subject was even raised) by the pre-Newchurch bishops and priests. Now, the bishops of the Church of the New Order perform "Gay Messes," and the rainbow flag of the Radical Gay Movement flies from diocesan flagpoles. Any Catholic who complains to these church "authorities" and stands up for Catholic morality is called "intolerant."
It is complete disinformation for Novus Ordinarians to imply that the rampant immorality in the Newchurch clergy is in any way equivalent to what went on before Vatican II and its "New Morality." They are simply trying by disinformation to cover over reality, as is their habitual modus operandi, when in fact they are comparing one raindrop to a pluvial torrent!
The gathering of "Nuns in the West," May 23-26, 2003, was hosted by Hsi Lai Buddhist Temple in Hacienda Heights, California. The monastic "nuns" met together to see how Western "nuns" and Eastern "nuns" could mix up their religions into an oecumenical smorgasbord.

I get messages from Novus Ordinarians trying to prove to me that their religion is Catholic. Photographs like this one show that the Novus Ordo Protestant-Masonic-Pagan service is a sheer fake. There is nothing "Catholic" about it! And, remember, those of you who are "episcopal-approval" fanatics, this gathering and the associated Mess was fully "approved" by the New Order establishment.
We certainly hear a lot of propaganda about how wonderful the New Order is -- its "New Mass," its "New Pentecost," and the other disinformation. Yet anyone with eyes and ears can see that in reality the Church of the New Order is sinking fast. The pope can, and wills to, do nothing about morality scandals in his bishops and presbyters worse than ever before in the Church. Why, the Vatican can't even get the European Union to recognize that its history includes Catholicism!
In the United States we're given a misleading figure of 65,000,000 "Catholics," but only 10,000,000 of them can be found at the Novus Ordo Mess on Sundays (or Saturdays). The appeal of the "New Mess" has worn off like the hula hoop. More and more cries are heard for "reverence," Latin, and Gregorian chant.
Traditional Catholics already have it. We just have to wait patiently until the poor, misled Novus Ordinarians realize that the New Vatican and the New Order bishops have deluded them with a Counterfeit Church, a Great Facade.
The diocese of Portland has gone bankrupt. So will Tucson, Santa Fe, and others. Almost ten New Order bishops have been exposed as criminals. And now the bedrock of the tangible Church, our magnificent edifices to God, are being torn down. Can the handwriting on the wall be clearer? San Francisco: twelve churches. Boston: sixty churches. And now Toledo: twenty-four churches.
According to the Toleda Blade, the reason is "too few members." Too few members? What happened to those 65,000,000 Catholics? They're phantoms, specters, ghosts. They are empty numbers used by New Order bishops to wield political power. But the jug is up. It is clear that politicians have now realized the truth: that Novus Ordo "Catholics" aren't Catholic. They can't be counted on for traditional morality or traditional religion. So the polls say: they are more pagan than the pagans!
Novus Ordo Bishop Bernard Harrington, of Winona, Minnesota, made a rather forceful statement on the denying of Holy Communion to supporters of abortion. He reminds folks that they can't pick and choose which Catholic doctrines and morals they will believe and live by.
Reflecting on Harrington's new crusade against "cafeteria Catholicism," I had the thought that the Novus Ordo establishment actually serves up and encourages something well beyond (or, rather, below) cafeteria Catholicism.
With all the weird liturgies, oecumenism and experimental spiritualities -- and scandals for that matter -- it is something like Carnival Midway "Catholicism," with all the thrills and jerky rides; all the curiosities, irreverence, and immodesty from the sideshow freaks; all the sticky, greasy, sweet concoctions from the concession stands; and all the shady deals going on in dark corners. Compared to this, mere cafeteria "Catholicism" is sanity and decorum!
It seems to me that the real bogie that needs to be gotten rid of is this Carnival Midway Novus Ordo.

The hypocrisy of these Novus Ordo bishops -- all of them! One is really no better than another when it comes down to essentials. They complain about "cafeteria Catholicism" when they're the fry cooks slamming the slop on the griddle! So now one or another claims that to vote for a candidate who supports an abortion is a "mortal sin." Hey, wait a minute! I didn't think that the New Order even recognized sin. They think it's an outmoded concept. That's why psychiatrists' couches have replaced confessionals.
Well, bishop, if you apply your principles to yourself, you should go on the lamb. After all, in perpetrating the fraud of the New Order, you have committed a much more grievous sin than any politician. You have committed sacrilege, blasphemy, and idolatry. You have robbed Catholics of their Faith and substituted a counterfeit. You have spit in the face of God. That is a sin against the First Commandment, not the Fifth -- the First Commandment, which Our Lord said was the "greatest" (Matthew 22:38/DRV).
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the "New Mess" supposed to make the congregation more "active"? Wasn't the use of the vulgar tongue supposed to make it more "meaningful"?
Here we have the latest addition to our enchridion, the "Patio" Mess. The presbyter is elevating the Novus Ordo cookie, and where is the attention of those standing around? At a Traditional Latin Mass, all are held in rapt attention, and not a sound is heard. Here, three people stare at the ground while their God is supposedly shown to them. One man is so bored that he crosses his arms seemingly in disgust.
Let's face it, good Catholics. The Novus Ordo Mess is a fraud. In any version, it is unCatholic, sacrilegious, irreverent, scandalous, blasphemous, idolatrous, and putatively invalid."And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them...." (Acts of the Apostles, 20:7/DRV).
The Fathers of the Church teach us that when the veil of the temple was rent from the top to the bottom, the Old (Jewish) Covenant ended and the New (Christian) Covenant began. In order to make the division clear, the Apostles from the beginning moved their worship from Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath, to Sunday, the Day of the Resurrection of the Lord.
This simple Apostolic, Biblical fact was understand by all, until, of course, the Vatican II era. Then, to confuse the faithful, the significance of Sunday was compromised. Servile and commercial work became common. The Novus Ordo Mess was celebrated on Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath. (This Mess, since it allows Novus Ordinarians to play golf on Sunday instead of go to church on the Lord's Day, has been derisively termed the "Golf Mess.") Ascension Thursday, a high holyday specified in the Bible as exactly forty days after Easter, was moved from the Thursday forty days after Easter, to the Sunday forty-three days after Easter.
Well, in the Novus Ordo, it seems that anything goes. Holy Redeemer "Catholic" Parish in North Carolina has gone the Golf Mess one worse. Now Sunday has become Wednesday! The parish announces: "Mass for the upcoming Sunday is celebrated Wednesday. This satisfies the Sunday obligation."
Of course, no Novus Ordo Mess ever "satisfies the Sunday obligation." No unCatholic, sacrilegious, irreverent, scandalous, blasphemous, idolatrous, and putatively invalid worship service can ever satisfy any obligation. Quite the contrary; it is a grave sin against the First Commandment. But only a Novus Ordo parish could come up with such a perversion of the calendar. This is just more evidence that the Novus Ordo isn't Catholic, and it certainly isn't Apostolic or Biblical.

I know many dedicated people who go to the Novus Ordo service. They appear to love Christ and His Church. They truly don't understand that the changes going on are part of a deep diabolical plan to destroy the church from within. They truly believe that attending this service and receiving the Novus Ordo cookie is an integral part of their spiritual lives. Do these people have any chance at being saved or are they lost for all eternity?

We certainly can't judge their interior consciences; only God can do that. But there are exterior signs. I've talked to a lot of Novus Ordinarians and have yet to find one of them who believes absolutely that the Novus Ordo is good. When you get them to talking, they will criticize one or more aspects of it. They don't like to stand for "communion." They don't like the use of English. They don't like the secular music. They don't like the weird church interiors. They don't like the sermons implying that "we all worship the same god," "all religions are true," etc.
Can these people really be excused because they are invincibly ignorant? Not entirely, in the cases I've seen. It is a principle of Catholic moral theology that when one is in moral doubt, one must resolve the doubt in a prudent way. Although there may be those not in doubt about the Novus Ordo (I personally haven't met one yet), the majority do have doubts. But instead of resolving them in accordance with Catholic teaching, they ignore them. If they learned that the Novus Ordo was invalid and unCatholic, they would have to stop going and miss their friends, be criticized by their family, or whatever.
Reality is reality. The sad thing is that these people are bereft of the Sacraments. Faith cannot make something what it is not. A cookie is a cookie is a cookie. No amount of wishing can make it the Body and Blood of Christ. Surely, if these people were as convinced as you say, they would not stand to receive their Lord and God. They would not take His precious Body into their dirty hands. They would not be present at a Protestantized service that rejects Catholic dogma on the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
The majority seem to know that something is seriously wrong. They just don't have the moral fortitude to get out. That is not invincible ignorance. That is, to one degree or another, cooperation with evil that brings with it personal moral guilt.
It was reported here earlier that the diocese of Tucson, Arizona, was on the verge of announcing bankruptcy. At the time TRADITIO said that this would be only one of many, bankrupted by the unpopularity of the Novus Ordo Mess (service attendance has declined to about 15% from 80% under the Traditional Latin Mass). Well, Tucson was not the first. Portland, Oregon, is. No other U.S. diocese has ever declared bankruptcy, but others, including Tucson will, shortly go the same route.
The action frees an organization from the threat of creditors' lawsuits while it reorganizes. One part of that reorganization should be the enforced return of all monies and properties to their rightful owners, traditional Catholics, and the deposition of New Order bishops and presbyters. After all, these people have cheated Catholics out of their birthright, which Our Lord left for them: the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass (not some Novus Ordo Mess), the Sacraments, and right doctrine.
Maybe the hand of the Lord is finally striking down these swindlers and putting, as we say, the "wrath of God" in them. If the pope can't or won't, the ecclesiastical power vacuum will be filled by the state, for better or worse.
One of the sad consequences that one must draw from the scandalous happenings in the New Order Church in the United States is that the ultimate responsibility lies directly at the foot of the New Vatican, at the sandals of the pope himself. This pope has been a culpably "absent father." His depraved clerical children, particularly his bishops, are snorting every kind of immorality, and he raises not a finger.
No wonder he is not regarded by the people as head of the Church any longer. Oh, yes, they give him lip service, but most don't heed a word he says. After all, it was he himself who, in his encyclical letter of 1997 Ut Unum Sint, indicated that he was willing to give up the traditional role of the papacy in favor of some bogus construct that would please the Eastern Orthodox schismatics and the Protestant heretics.
What does a New Order bishop have to do to get disciplined by erstwhile "Rome"? Is raping children enough? Apparently not. Is having immoral conjugations with catamites enough? Apparently not. Is embezzling church monies to pay off illicit lovers enough? Apparently not. Is killing a man enough? Apparently not.
What is so disgusting about the reign of JPII is that, far from imposing just discipline on such renegade New Order bishops, this pope rewards them! Case in point, the scandalous Card. Law, formerly of Boston, now living in luxury in Rome, with every sign of papal favor. The pope has not deprived Law of his "perks," among them a $60,000 annual salary and free luxury housing.
According to the Boston Globe, Law is reclaiming in Rome the influence and prestige he once enjoyed as archbishop of Boston. "He is playing an active role in governing the world's largest religious body, serving on an unusually high number of Vatican congregations charged with, among other things, the appointment of bishops and the oversight of priests around the world."
"The oversight of priests around the world"? How sick can this New Vatican and this pope be? The man who, either ignorantly or deliberately (it really doesn't make any difference in terms of its result), pandered immoral presbyters around Boston, is now put in a position to oversee presbyters not just in Boston now, but around the world. This is sick.
Moreover, it is reported that Law is seen about Rome with some frequency, patronizing some of the same restaurants he preferred when Rome was just a place he visited, and sitting in the front row at important Vatican events. Why? "Although in Boston, his role in the clergy sexual abuse scandal made it difficult for him to appear in public without being shadowed by reporters and protesters, his public presence causes barely a ripple in Rome."
His recent appointment by JPII as archpriest (that is, head) of the Archbasilica of St. Mary Major is reminiscent of Law's strategy to deal with rapist-presbyters: "Move the priest or bishop who has committed the political or moral infraction to another church, and in this manner you preserve the dignity of clergyman and the church."
Is TRADITIO the first to point out the obvious connection between this appointment and Law's recent prominence at that staged "indult" Mass orchestrated by Card. Hoyos held at the archbasilica in May 2003? Was this "indult" Mass simply a stage for appointing VIP attendee Law as head of the archbasilica in which it was held? Such a staging would be in total conformity with that well-known style of Vatican politics known as Romanità.
But the laity are not going to remain silent on the corruption of JPII's Church. Luigi De Paoli, spokesman for the Italian association Noi Siamo Chiesa [We are the Church], albeit a liberalist organization, said he believes that the Vatican will ultimately have to apologize for giving Law the new post, as it has had to apologize for other decisions in the past.
On the other side of the spectrum, "conservative" Catholics associated with Fiamma Tricolore [Three-colored Flame] have several times protested outside the basilica, most recently on July 2, objecting to the JPII's selection of Law as archpriest. Resisting the corruption of this pope as Paul had to resist Peter when the latter violated Apostolic teaching, this group's spokesman, Roberto Bevilacqua chastised the New Vatican in straight talk:
This is a city that lives according to certain basic Christian values, and we don't think it's right to have a priest who defended criminals, and they were truly criminals who were guilty of atrocious acts, working here. There are many people who are upset and have joined our cause -- local residents, parishioners, Catholics who do not accept the fact that Law defended priests guilty of such horrific crimes. We will continue this fight for as long as necessary.
Now the Bostonians, who were defrauded by this man, may think that he has permanently befouled his position and should be relegated to a remote monastery to do penance for the rest of his life for the gross evils that he has perpetrated on the church. But that is a purely rational response. The New Vatican, and the pope, who live in some kind of dream world "respect him as bright, well-connected, and someone who knows the Catholic world." After all, this is what is important to the New Vatican: not Christian virtue, not Catholic morality, but ecclesiastical "connections."
Good Catholics, the Church of the New Order cannot be tolerated. We are living through times that are worse than that of the "Bad Popes" of prior centuries. This pope should not be apologizing to the dead Martin Luther, to the heretical Archbishop of Canterbury, and to the schismatic Oecumenical Patriarch. He should be apologizing to the entire Catholic world -- and then resign in disgrace, our Church's own Richard Nixon.
Ghastly unCatholic church buildings, paid for by hundreds of millions of Novus Ordinarians' dollars, are going up all over. The purpose of this Modernistic architecture seems to be to root out all sense of the Catholic, or even of the sacred, and to replace it with vast empty spaces reminiscent of the emptiness of the New Order.
TRADITIO readers are quite familiar with the "Tennis Racket" monstrosity under construction to replace the traditional basilica at Fatima. Now the New Order has "done a number" on Padre Pio, in the construction of the Padre Pio Pilgrimage Church in San Giovanni Rotondo.
It is reported that after the "consecration" of this "hanger church," there will be a fireworks display over it. So it will have fireworks, but not a valid Roman Catholic Mass, even though Padre Pio himself refused to say even the pre-Novus Ordo service. Some Novus Ordo dolt with nothing better to do is "suing" U.S. Presidental Candidate John Kerry in ecclesiastical court for "heresy." Puh-LEAZ! If he wants to waste his time in the star chambers of the New Order, he should be passing up the small potatoes and suing the elephants in the middle of the room, the real heretics, the New Order bishops of the United States. But, now, this dolt is too ignorant or too cowardly to take on the real enemy, so he picks on Kerry.
But, after all, it was these Novus Ordo bishops who created John Kerry, Ted Kennedy and the rest, after their own image. Kerry is only following their teaching, which, since Vatican II, has been filled with heresy, sacrilege, and religious indifferentism ("oecumenism").
And these Novus Ordo bishops can't even agree among themselves what their teaching really is! Their recent unproductive meeting in Denver proved that. As the Roman satirist Juvenal asked two thousand years ago, "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" The question is as relevant for the New Order Church today as it was for Juvenal's Rome. In fact, Juvenal could have been writing about them 1900 years in advance!
As reported previously in the TRADITIO Commentaries, on May 5 a Hindu priest, with the full "approval" of the Newchurch "authorities," the local bishop and the shrine's rector,conducted a pagan service from the altar of Fatima's Chapel of the Apparitions. This pagan priest chanted prayers from the altar for 60 Hindu pilgrims, who danced outside the Chapel of the Apparitions chanting praises to their pagan gods. A report has come to us that a counter-demonstration was just held at the shrine and an appeal made to the pope to stop the "oecumenization" of what is supposed to be a Catholic shrine. The problem is that JPII is in cahoots with the whole thing! On March 9, 2004, the pope personally gave the rector of the Fatima shrine a stone fragment from the tomb of St. Peter; this relic will be formally placed as the cornerstone of the new "oecumenical" basilica on June 6. Recently, JPII had another kissing contest with the "Oecumenical" Patriarch of the schismatic Eastern Orthodox Church and made a strong statement in favor of more and more "oecumenization."
Historians are going to have to rewrite the history books. JPII has turned out to be worse that the "bad" pope Alexander VI. Alexander's problems were mainly personal immorality and nepotism in the conduct of the business of the Church. JPII has gone far beyond that. Not only has he become mired in the immorality scandals rampant throughout Newchurch, he has substantially destroyed the Roman Catholic Faith for a billion once-Catholics. What's next on his agenda? Putting Buddhist rose water in the fountain at Lourdes to "oecumenize" it?

I remember you stating at one time that before the modern era, the Psalms used to be memorized and prayed by Catholics as they were laboring throughout the day. How noble indeed! I try to pray the traditional Divine Office as much as I am able, though my work robs me of it most of the time. I am inspired to memorize, but I ask you which Psalms of the Office are most efficacious in battling the Church's enemies and hastening the victory that Christ has already obtained for us. I feel compelled to memorize these first and pray them in union with the whole Church as I labor at work and at home so that God would put divisions in the camp of the enemy. Also, would praying them in Latin be more efficacious?

This is a most commendable practice, better even the recitation of the Rosary, since the Divine Office is part of the official daily prayer of the Church, whereas the Rosary is essentially a private devotion.

For your purposes, I would suggest two of Psalms said at Sunday Compline:
As to saying the Psalms and other prayers of the Church in Latin, I can only concur with the council of St. Francis of Assisi, who commended the practice as uniting one more closely with the mind and universal prayer of the Church rising each day to Almighty God, like the united choirs of Angels speaking una voce, with one voice. Catholics throughout the world are rediscovering the fact that one prays more deeply, more thoughtfully, more knowledgeably in Latin.
It is too easy to ramble off vernacular words meaninglessly, without even thinking about what you are praying. Just recall how so many people pray the Rosary, in the thoughtless and mindless way condemned by Our Lord in Sacred Scripture. Using the Church's sacred tongue forces us to meditate upon every word we say and merits us many more graces.
105 English martyrs died for the true Mass, which the Church of the New Order and the Novus Ordinarians have so easily trashed. These martyrs were either "Mass-saying priests" or those who helped them. The newly Protestantized English government at the time butchered and murdered them with a savagery not even touched by the Holy Inquisition. The bishops of the New Order would do the same thing today to traditional Catholic priests and those who help them, if the law allowed.
Far from being the civilized country in the 16th century that our biased history texts want to make it out to be, the reigns of Henry VIII and Elizabeth I, his daughter by his mistress Anne Bolyn, were some of bloodiest in history. A perjurer, Elizabeth I swore at her coronation that she would uphold the Catholic Faith, then forswore herself and butchered Catholic priests and laypeople. Pope St. Pius V rightly dissolved her subjects' oath of obedience to her, as the "queen" had violated her own. By the same principle of Catholicism, any obligation of obedience to the New Order bishops, who have forsworn their consecration oaths to uphold the Catholic Faith, is dissolved.
Now, in a spurt of modern persecution, the Tyburn Crypt Shrine that houses the sacred relics of the Catholic Mass Martyrs is being forced to close on October 1 because it has yet to raise £400,000 to pay for handicapped facilities. 105 Catholic Mass Martrys lost their lives at the Tyburn gallows between 1535 and 1681. These martyrs suffered death then, because they freely chose fidelity to the true Mass.
Among those executed at Tyburn were St. Edmund Campion, the Jesuit and Oxford academic, and Edward Morgan, a Welsh priest who was reproved by a minister on the scaffold for being too cheerful at the prospect of going to heaven. In total, more than 350 Catholic martyrs were butchered under the Protestant English government. These martyrs included the most eminent statesman and scholar of the time in the world, Sir (later Saint) Thomas More. [U.K. Telegraph]
Is this "political correctness" gone awry in Merrie Old England, or a deliberate attempt to cover up the anti-Catholic atrocities of the reign of Bloody Elizabeth I?
The plight of the crypt shrine has infuriated even Protestant religious and historical academics who claim that the crypt's legacy is being stifled by "obese bureaucracy." Dr. Richard Rex, a senior lecturer in divinity and director of studies at Queens' College, Cambridge, said:
It is not just absurd but immoral for a government to pretend to compensate for the physical disabilities of some by, in effect, imposing massive financial disabilities upon others. Those whose entire vocation is to commemorate men who preferred a cruel death to the betrayal of their faith must not surrender to the petty tyranny of obese bureaucracy. Besides which, any attempt to impose the closure of the shrine would probably be open to challenge under the Human Rights Act as an infringement of freedom of religion.
Remember that when Paul VI tried to suppress the Traditional Latin Mass and replace it with a phony "New Order," not only did English Catholics fight back, but also English Protestants, Jews, agnostics, and atheists published a publicly chastising the pope for his barbarous act. In regard to the courage of traditional priests, we must not forget those who are among us today. In this regard, I take the opportunity to bring to you the sad news that in addition to Frs. Paul Wickens and James Wathen, previously mentioned, Fr. James Kosek is reported to be seriously ill in Chicago. All three are independent traditional Roman Catholic priests. Please remember them, as well as all the other traditional priests who serve you so courageously in the resistance against the modern-day forsworn New Order bishops.
