Norma Jean Coon was one of those ordained in 2007 as a deaconness under the aegis of Roman Catholic Women Priests. But now Coon thinks that she has "got religion" because she has renounced her deaconess-ship and gone Newchurch "Motu."
In fact, Coon has just jumped from one phony frying pan into another fire. The problem is that the Great "Motu" Mess Hoax, associated with the Half Novus Ordo "Mess of 1962+" and Benedict-Ratzinger's "Motu" of 2007, uses Novus Ordo presbyters who are not ordained. Even "Motu" organizations, like the Fraternity of St. Peter, don't ordain valid Catholic priests because the ordaining bishops themselves have never been consecrated in the valid traditional rite, but have merely been "installed" in the Freemason presbyter Hannibal Bugnini's invalid New Ordinal of 1968. These Novus Ordo clergy are no more Catholic "bishops" and "priests" than Protestant "bishops" and "ministers." So poor Norma Jean, now as a member of the Novus Ordo "Motu" contingent, is still getting an invalid Mess.
Good Catholics, it is a confusing time, and many have bounced from one organization to another. In all their perambulations, these individuals are still not priests, but remain unordained, invalid Novus Ordo presbyters at best. If even "clergy" have become confused, one can't be too condemnatory of the case of befuddled laywoman Norma Jean, who has done yet another volte-face like Newchurchers, Motu and non-Motu, in their rejections of what is the true Catholic Faith and the true Catholic Mass.
Poor Bernie Fellay! It was clear to the world that he was hankering after Novus Ordo purple, or even scarlet, to match the color of his embarrassment. It took five years, but now Bernie Fellay has eaten crow and admitted in a February 2011 interview that the TRADITIO Network and its condemnation of his Neo-SSPX "negotiations" with the Novus Ordo were right on target.
Fellay has now publicly admitted that his "negotiations" for admission into the Novus Ordo sect, which the TRADITIO Network and other traditional sources called a "sellout," are nearing an end without any success. "We are coming to the conclusion [of the negotiations], because we have made the tour of the major questions raised by the [Vatican II] Council," Fellay said. When asked whether Newvatican officials had changed their minds during the negotiations, which began in late 2009, Fellay said: "I don't think that you can say that." Fellay even admitted that Benedict-Ratzinger, who is often falsely termed a "traditionalist" by clueless Newchurchers, had only a "limited" sympathy for the Neo-SSPX.
Fellay said not one word against Benedict-Ratzinger's now-exposed personal role in abetting and covering up Newchurch's Great Sex & Embezzlement Scandal, in which tens of thousands of children have been raped with the tacit, and sometimes overt, approval of Newchurch hierarchs, but instead Fellay supported the immoral Newpope. Belatedly, Fellay did finally object to Benedict-Ratzinger's convoking of a Third Assisi "Oecumenical" Convocation in October 2011, following on the first two, convoked by John Paul-Wojtyla, at which the Buddha was placed on top of the tabernacle, and Newchurch presbyters participated in pagan rites before it. Fellay apparently thinks that "oecumenism" is more damnable than the rape of children by clergy. One has to wonder where he got his Catholic moral theology!
Good Catholics, in this "negotiation" fiasco with Benedict-Ratzinger's Novus Ordo sect, Bernie Fellay has simply proven himself a traitor to the principles of his founder, Archbishop Lefebvre. Fellay has been more interested in Novus Ordo preferment with the likes Newcardinal Bernard "Lawless" Law and Raymond "Bully" Burke than in standing up for his Lord Jesus Christ and His true Church. Fellay has essentially played the Judas, giving Newchurch Modernists more ammunition to use against traditional Catholics. Remember, Fellay has no respect for the courageous bishops, priests, and religious organizations that make up the Traditional Catholic Movement. He only wants to become their Dictator by Newpope fiat. Now Fellay's immoral cause has failed, as even he finally admits. Sic semper tyrannis!
A child-victim has fingered a Novus Ordo presbyter who says the Half Novus Ordo "Motu" Mess of 1962+ in the Newchurch diocese of Monterey, California, as the man who sexually assaulted him from 2004 to 2005, when the victim was 14 years of age. The Newdiocese of Monterey pronounced the victim's claim as "credible" after an independent investigator discovered that this was not the first time the presbyter had been charged with sexual assault against a child.
When the second child-victim was discovered, reporting his own 2005 assault by the presbyter in the Carmel Mission, Fitz-Henry was ordered to vacate the rectory of the Novus Ordo church where he was "performing" the "Motu" Mess. The "Motu" Mess has been suspended indefinitely, and Salinas police are initiating a criminal investigation. An official of the Newdiocese was also removed from his post because he covered up the charges against the "Motu" presbyter when the child-victim first came forward.
A civil lawsuit filed by the victim on February 22, 2011, charges that the Fitz-Henry befriended his child-victim, where the 14-year-old was a Novus Ordo altar-serveur and a member of the choir, aspiring to be a presbyter himself. The victim said that the presbyter repeatedly encouraged him to engage in homosexual acts and finally tried to force him into a sex act that is too vile to mention here, right in the "Motu" church's restroom. Good Catholics, you can't cover moral filth with a little Latin. It is the old story. The presbyter was reported "popular," and prejudiced Newchurchers immediately defended the presbyter instead of the child-victim. When will the clueless Newchurchers ever learn? This case shows that a presbyter is a presbyter is a presbyter. It doesn't matter whether he invalidly "performs" a "Motu" Mess of 1962+ or a Novus Ordo service of 1969. It's all part of the modus operandi of the corrupt Novus Ordo sect.
The TRADITIO Network was the only source to warn from the beginning that Benedict-Ratzinger's July 7, 2007, Motu Proprio Summorum pontificum merely a Great "Motu" Mess Hoax. Newpope's document had more holes in it than Swiss cheese, and he never himself got behind it. In the almost four years since the Motu's issuance, he has not once performed his own "Motu" Mess. Benedict-Ratzinger action is no great loss, however, as the "Motu" Mess, the Mess of 1962+, is a Half Novus Ordo, fabricated by the same Freemason presbyter, Hannibal Bugnini, who fabricated the full-blown Novus Ordo Protestant-Masonic-Pagan service of 1969.
Now, several reports from Newrome indicate that a new "Motu" will gut what little there is in the old "Motu." The new Motu is supposed to respond to the concerns expressed by many Newchurch bishops that Benedict-Ratzinger is moving away from the Modernist principles of Vatican II Council (1962-1965). In response, Benedict-Ratzinger, a Modernist himself and a leader at the Council, is expected to place further limitations on the already limited use of the "Motu" Mess, probably including the withdrawal of automatic permission for Newchurch diocesan clergy to perform "Motu" Messes and prohibiting Newchurch bishops from using the 1962 ordination rite. (Traditional Catholics, of course, know that the rite used for ordination is immaterial, since Newbishops have not themselves been consecrated in the valid, traditional rite with the power to ordain, but only "installed" under the invalid New Ordinal of 1968 to serve the Unsacraments of the Novus Ordo.) The pseudo-traditionalist Motarians are so worried about the impending loss of their Half Novus Ordo that they are signing a petition to Benedict-Ratzinger not to issue the new Motu, sight unseen! The Motarians see "strange, violent, and dark forces" wanting to "derail" the "Motu" Mess. It probably doesn't occur to the Motarians that, as "God is not mocked," the fraud of a Half Novus Ordo, which was used to get them to accept the Novus Ordo itself as the "Ordinary Rite" of Newchurch, is likely to come crashing down on their hypocrisy!
When Benedict-Ratzinger purports to Novus Ordo "beatify" his predecessor, John Paul-Wojtyla, on May 1, 2011, in St. Peter's Piazza, 2,500,000 Newchurchers are expected to attend. In comparison, when the beatification of Padre Pio was celebrated, the mystic priest who is generally acknowledged to be a true Saint, only 400,000 Newchurchers turned out. So this John Paul-Wojtyla's "beatification" will be entirely disproportionate, not to say phony. It is well known that Polish tourist interests started the campaign for John Paul-Wojtyla to be a subito Santo, an immediate "saint."

Thank God that there is nothing "infallible" or even Catholic in this "beatification," which can be totally rejected, in good conscience, by every true Catholic. Jackie Speier, U.S. Representative for San Francisco, California, revealed on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, broadcast to the world via C-Span, that she had aborted her four-month-old baby. She told the House, "I lost my baby." That seemed to be a half truth at best, although her story was admittedly somewhat self-contradictory. But even liberal U.S. news media reported that Speier and her husband -- a physician! -- "terminated the pregnancy."
In her three-minute speech, Spier demonstrated no repentance for her act, but stuck her finger in the face of anti-abortion legislators and screamed: "Planned Parenthood has a right to offer abortions," with government funds, even though Planned Parenthood is a private organization, which in 2009 killed 332,278 babies. After her speech there was scattered applause from liberal legislators in the House.
Speier was reacting to a speech by Representative Chris Smith, who assailed the government funding of Planned Parenthood as a place where babies are "exterminated." He described the procedure known as D&E, Dilation & Evacuation, as fetal murder. Conservative legislators are trying to save every unnecessary expenditure in the budget of the United States, which is teetering on the edge of financial catastrophe.
Conservative Smith was arguing for the elimination of this immoral item, by which taxpayers of the United States are compelled not just passively to allow, but actively to fund abortions. There is no "conscience exception" in the law, previously passed under liberal legislators. In spite of her diatribe against those who would seek to defund abortions, the U.S. House of Representatives overwhelming voted against her, 240-185, to defund abortions. And what of Benedict-Ratzinger's personally-appointed Newbishop of San Francisco, George Niederauer, under whose jurisdiction Speier comes as a Newchurcher? Just as U.S. Senators Ted Kennedy and John Kerry and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi were prominently given the Novus Ordo cookie and Kool-aid by another of Benedict-Ratzinger's personally-appointed Newbishops, Donald Wuerl, of Washington, D.C., Niederauer has not said a word about Spier's apparently excommunicable offense. Kennedy, Kerry, and Pelosi claimed to be "Catholics" for votes, then publicly advocated abortion. That is hypocritical and immoral enough, but Speier actually committed the act.
Good Catholics, anybody who thinks that Benedict-Ratzinger and his administration are against abortion is deluding himself. Outside of a few mealy-mouthed statements, Newpope has done nothing to shut down legislators who are only too eager to proclaim themselves "Catholic" in order to garner votes, but publicly reject Catholic moral teaching. In the United States Benedict-Ratzinger has done nothing. In Mexico he has done nothing. In Brazil, he has done nothing. In Spain he has done nothing. In Portugal he has done nothing. Rightly has he earned the title of the "Do-nothing Pope."
Newchurch and its Newpopes have lost so much authority that its presbyters are now in open defiance against them. Presbyters around the world have told Newrome that they refuse to implement the New Novus Ordo service that is supposed to begin on November 20, 2011.
In Australia, presbyters, who describe themselves as "pretty steamed up," have rejected the work of their Sydney Newcardinal-archbishop, George Pell, who had a direct hand in the New Novus Ordo. In Ireland, 400 presbyters have contended that the imposition of the New Novus Ordo, which is supposed to be "more faithful" to the original text, is "archaic, elitist, and obscure." Presbyters around the world have refused to make any compromises on the "Modernizing" principles of the Vatican II Council (1962-1965) and have said that the New Novus Ordo is going backwards. They want to New Novus Ordo to be withdrawn for at least five years for more "consultation."
Even the Motarians, devotees of the Half Novus Ordo Mess of 1962+, have now against Newrome because they have learned that Benedict-Ratzinger plans to water down his qualified "permission" for that Mess, as indicated in his 2007 Motu Proprio. Pseudo-traditionalists are already mounting a petition campaign against him.
So much for the Neocon Newchurchers' beloved "reform of reform." And so much for Benedict-Ratzinger, whose moral authority has sunk to a new nadir. At this point he has effectively lost control of Newchurch. It took only five years for him to be hated by both Modernist/Liberalists and Pseudo-traditionalists in his Newchurch. Bernie Fellay, the Superior General of the Neo-SSPX, must regret now that he didn't listen to the sage opinion of the TRADITIO Fathers about Benedict-Ratzinger's Great "Motu" Mess Hoax of July 7, 2007. Instead, he issued a boneheaded statement of support of the Half Novus Ordo Mess of 1962+. In February 2011, however, he has admitted, in another one of those staged "interviews" for tottering Neo-SSPXers, that Benedict-Ratzinger's "Motu" Mess "has had practically no effect, or very little," because the Newchurch of the New Order, including Benedict-Ratzinger de facto, doesn't want it.
Traditional Catholics, of course, reject the "Motu" Mess of 1962+ because is not the Traditional Latin Mass, but was fabricated by the same Freemason presbyter who used it as an intermediate stage to the invalid Novus Ordo service of 1969. It took Fellay four years, but he is now singing in the TRADITIO Network's choir, warning that the "Motu" Mess lacks "everything that goes with" the traditional Catholic Faith: "the sermon, the catechesis, the way of administering the sacraments."
But Fellay remains afraid to address head on the "Big Elephant" in the room: whatever the validity of the 1962 Mess itself may be, it is being performed in Newchurch not by valid priests ordained in the traditional rite "to offer Mass for the living and the dead," but by Novus Ordo presbyters, who have merely been "installed to preside over the assembly." Newchurch no longer has valid Holy Orders. In fact, it did away with most of them and invalidated the remainder -- the diaconate, presbyerate, and episcopate -- with its adoption of the Freemason presbyter Hannibal Bugnini's invalid Protestantized New Ordinal of 1968. So, even if the "Motu" Mess is valid in its text, when it is performed by a Novus Ordo presbyter (and that includes "Motu" presbyters), it is no more valid than a Methodist service.
Fellay has waffled back and forth on this issue over the years. You can never get a direct answer out of him -- and for very good reason. His Modernist mentor, Benedict-Ratzinger, is the first Newpope never to have been consecrated as a bishop in the traditional Catholic rite. He was merely installed, in 1977, under the invalid New Ordinal of 1968. If Josef Ratzinger is not truly a bishop, then he cannot be the Bishop of Rome, and then he cannot be a pope. This is not a sorites whose devastating logical conclusion Fellay is prepared to deal with, as if he admitted to it, his hope of his purple being "recognized" by the Novus Ordo establishment would immediately go down the drain. Pffft!
Yet, like his Modernist mentor, Benedict-Ratzinger, Fellay is all talk and no action. He hasn't stopped the negotiations to sell out his Neo-SSPX to the Newchurch New Order. He himself hasn't stopped performing the Half Novus Ordo Mess of 1962. Even Archbishop Lefebvre, who never fully accepted that Mess, shortly before his death indicated that he was considering switching back to the Traditional Latin Mass, after he saw how far Newrome had gone toward abandoning the traditional Catholic Faith.
Presbyter Agustin Escobar furthered Benedict-Ratzinger false "oecumenism" doctrine by "concelebrating" a Novus Ordo Mess with a Presbyterian minister. The service took place on February 13, 2011, at St. Norbert's Newparish in Orange, California. With Benedict-Ratzinger's adherence to the false Vatican II doctrine of "oecumenism," it is no surprise that Newpope's subordinates pursue his favorite doctrine in order to please him.
The "concelebrant" of the Novus Ordo service was Presbyterian minister Steve Whitney, pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Whitney received the Novus Ordo cookie at the table and handed out cookies to members of the congregation. Presbyter Escobar responded to criticism from one Newparishioner by saying that "Jesus would love everyone." What the blind Newparishioner didn't realize is that the Novus Ordo Mess is a Protestantized service anyway, as well as invalid, so a Protestant minister concelebrating makes complete sense in the Protestantized Newchurch of the New Order. Nor is St. Norbert the only church in the Novus Ordo sect where these Protestant shenanigans go on. One of our TRADITIO correspondents has alerted us to some monstrosity called the "Anglican/Roman Catholic Congregation of Hampton Roads" in Virginia Beach, Virginia, which has as "co-pastors" a Novus Ordo presbyter and an Episcopalian minister. This travesty has the full "approval" of the Novus Ordo bishop of Richmond, Virginia, Walter Sullivan, since 1977. Curiously, or perhaps not, Sullivan also promotes the "Motu" Mess. In Newchurch everything is mixed up Protestant-style anyway: Novus Ordo, "Motu," Unsacraments, and all the rest. Traditional Catholics, of course, must stay away from anything associated with the Novus Ordo sect as it is a false sect, just as false as the Protestant sects.
Good Catholics, these unCatholic travesties are fully in accord with Benedict-Ratzinger's own example. The Newpope of the Newchurch of the New Order has participated in religious services with Protestants, Jews, and Mohammedans. It is all part of the Modernist Council Vatican II's doctrine of false "oecumenism": we all worship the same god, all gods are equal. Newchurchers who try to make the New Order out to be something other than Protestantism are simply deluding the obvious evidence of their eyes and ears.

I am having trouble finding the feastday of St. Bernadette of Lourdes, canonized by Pope Pius XI on December 8, 1933. I can find no Proper Mass for her in altar missals or on traditional Catholic calendars. Does St. Bernadette have a Proper Mass?

The feastday of Maria-Bernarda Subirous is given as April 16 in the traditional Martyrologium Romanum. We Fathers sometimes get the quetsion: why doesn't such-and-so Saint have a Mass in the Missale Romanum? If you think about it, there are only 365 days in the year, and some of those days are taken up by special feasts. With more than 2,000 traditionally-recognized Saints, there aren't enough days in the year for each to have a Proper Mass.
Preference in setting Proper Masses in the liturgical calendar is given first, of course, to Our Lord Jesus Christ, then the Blessed Virgin Mary, then the Holy Angels, then the Apostles, then the Martyrs. Virgins come much farther down in the hierarchy of Saints. When permitted by the rubrics, one of the Masses may be taken from the Commune Sanctorum in the Missal, in this case from the Commune Virginum: the Mass Dilexisti or, in the alternative, Vultum tuum.
Timothy Dolan, Newchurch archbishop of New York since 2009, has been accused of cheating children who were victims of rape by his presbyters at his former post as archbishop of Milwaukee, Wisconsin (2002-2009), out of 130,000,000 dollars. That amount is missing from the books of the archdiocese. Dolan is slated to be interrogated under oath about the missing money, which is suspected to have been secreted by Dolan so as to cheat the children out of their rightful damages. A mortal sin against Catholic moral teaching.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court issued rulings in 2005 and 2007 that allowed the childrens' damage claims against the Milwaukee Newarchdiocese to go forward. In 2005, 75,000,000 dollars disappeared; in the second year, 55,000,000 dollars disappeared under Dolan's "supervision." The Newarchdiocese filed for bankruptcy on January 4, 2011, and had to submit to the United States Federal Court an account of its assets and liabilities. One of the attorneys reviewing those accounts has found discrepancies "suggestive of chicanery and perhaps financial fraud." Good Catholics, Dolan was elected in 2010 as President of the U.S. Conference of Catholic [Sic] Bishops. He follows in the trail of corrupt leaders of that organization, the last three of whom have been personally associated with sex crimes against children or their official cover-up. Newchurch is truly rotten in the United States, as it is elsewhere, all the way up to its leader in Newrome.

Traditional Catholics often expect to hear from local Novus Ordo parishioners, angry presbyters, and even their own family, that adherents to the Traditional Catholic Faith are in schism with the Newchurch of the New Order. Bitter Modernist Newbishops and Novus Ordo presbyters go around all the time spouting indignation towards traditional Catholics. "Schism" is mumbled and hurled like a dirty six letter word.
But isn't this a logical impossibility? Traditional Catholics have maintained the exact same canons before and after Vatican II. Therefore, how can traditional Catholics be in schism? In fact, it is the Novus Ordo sect that is clearly schismatic.
The TRADITIO Fathers Reply.
Of course the Novus Ordo sect is schismatic, really in fact heretical. It is certainly not "Catholic," the term that it likes to use for itself. The Novus Ordo sect has been perpetrating a hoax religion, covering it over by appeals to "obedience" -- obedience to hierarchs who adhere to a condemned and invalid Protestant-Masonic-Pagan service, false sacraments, false doctrine, and certainly false morals that are not Catholic, but downright criminal.
Bigger doesn't mean right. Even so, the Newchurch of the New Order is sinking fast. Attendance at its invalid "service," is now in single percentage digits in many countries. Remember: our Catholic Church began with eleven men who took on the entire Church establishment of their time, the Jewish Sanhedrin -- and they won! We also need to remember the words of St. Basil the Great, who wrote when most of the "Catholic" bishops and even the "Catholic" popes of his time had embraced the heresy of Arianism, denying the divinity of Christ:
Who has lost and who has won in the struggle -- the one who keeps the buildings or the one who keeps the Faith? The Faith obviously. That therefore the ordinances which have been preserved in the churches from old time until now may not be lost in our days,... rouse yourselves, brethren,... seeing them now seized upon by aliens.
The real problem is that traditional Catholics are all too often pusillanimous (Our Lord's word). They don't stand up for the traditional Catholic Faith against the Novus Ordo thieves. Traditional Cathoalics should never be defensive; they should always take the offensive. They should not sell out one jot or tittle to the Novus Ordo sect, including the Great "Motu" Mess Hoax. For truly, that is, as the Roman poet Vergil put it, descensus Averno, the path down to Hell.
Nancy Pelosi, who prominently presents herself as "Catholic" to get votes from clueless Newchurchers in the United States, chose the day on which Catholics traditionally pray to the priest and martyr, St. Valentine, who gave his life for the Catholic Faith, to proclaim publicly that the United States should support abortion, homosexuality, and contraception. On February 14, 2011, Pelosi blasted the proposed No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, calling it part of "the most comprehensive and radical assault on women's health in our lifetime." She pontificated against supporters of the act, which is intended to forbid federal funding of most abortion and to protect the conscience rights of healthcare providers not to be forced to participate in abortions.
Even the U.S. Conference of Catholic [Sic] Bishops, who are certainly not known for their morality, as they all have been implicated in perpetrating, abetting, or covering up the rape of children by Newchurch clergy, have come out in support of the Act. Good Catholics, Benedict-Ratzinger, who met personally with Pelosi on February 18, 2009, during a private audience with the U.S. House Speaker, refused to excommunicate her for her heretical moral pronouncements. In fact, Newpope has taken no action against pro-abortion politicians and has tacitly supported homosexuality in his Novus Ordo seminaries with his policy of allowing those who have been active sodomists as recently as three years previous to become Novus Ordo presbyters.
Holland's Newcardinal-Primate, Adrianus Simonis, was ratted out as a sex-crimes facilitator by his own Newbishop of Rotterdam, Philippe Bar. Bar revealed on Radio Netherlands Worldwide and two other Dutch media outlets on February 10, 2011, that the Newcardinal was personally informed of a rapist presbyter, but instead of turning the criminal over to the police, the Newcardinal assigned him to another Newparish, where he could continue his predations against children.
Simonis was also shown up as a liar, since in March of 2011 he claimed, "I knew nothing about it," concerning hundreds of claims against paedophile presbyters. He used the very words in German, not in Dutch, that the Nazi leaders had used to excuse immoral behavior: Wir haben es nicht gewusst. Simonis has now been accused of "systemically" protecting paedophile presbyters. "He didn’t do anything," said one of the child-victims' attorney. "He was not protecting the children; he was protecting the people who did the abuse."
Figures released in December 2010 showed that almost 2,000 children had been raped by Newchurch bishops and presbyters in The Netherlands in a virtual holocaust of sex crimes supported by Newchurch. Other documents have revealed Benedict-Ratzinger's personal involvement in abetting the crimes and concealing them from lawful authorities. Benedict-Ratzinger's spokesman, presbyter Federico Lombardi, on February 9, 2011, announced that a new Motu Proprio is in the works that would promote continued "modernization" of the Newchurch Novus Ordo and Half Novus Ordo "Motu" services of 1962+, and at the same time reject a "restrictive" type of control of liturgical change by Newchurch's Congregation for Divine Worship. The Motu is also expected to take away the Congregation's role in declaring marriage "annulments" in order to make those annulments -- known as "Catholic divorces" -- easier to get, particularly in Asian countries, where arranged marriages are common.
Responding to criticisms from his Newbishops and laymen, Benedict-Ratzinger is expected to undercut with the new Motu the old Motu of 2007, Summorum pontificum, which established the Half Novus Ordo "Mess of 1962+" as an "extraordinary" service. Commonly known as the "Latin Mass," this "Motu" Mess of 1962+, which is not the Traditional Latin Mass, would be further sidelined. Benedict-Ratzinger is expected to declare once again his lifelong commitment to the post Vatican II Novus Ordo service of 1969 and further "modernizing" changes to it. In a landmark indictment from a Grand Jury report charging rampant corruption in the Newchurch archdiocese of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the head of Newchurch clergy for the archdiocese was arrested on February 10, 2011, as an accomplice in child rape, not because he himself perpetrated the act, but because he concealed the crimes of the Newchurch presbyters whom he supervised.
Monsignor William Lynn, has been charged with two felony counts for failing to protect children from rape by presbyters. The charges were filed for endangering the welfare of children following a Grand Jury investigation. In addition, four other presbyters have been arrested for raping and sexually assaulting boys aged 10 to 14 as recently as 2000. 46 other presbyters may be arrested as a result of the Grand Jury investigation. The Newarchdiocse, now run by Justin Rigali, has allowed 37 presbyters for whom there is "substantial evidence of abuse" to remain in roles that still bring them into contact with children.
Monsignor Lynn was charged because he "supervised two of the abusers ... knew they were dangerous and chose to expose them to new victims." The Grand Jury also accused Lynn of repeatedly failing to investigate abuse charges, reassigning abusive priests, and concealing their crimes from civil authorities and the Catholic laity. The Grand Jury's report mentioned Lynn 652 times, charging that he "bullied, intimidated, lied to, even investigated" the child-victims. The Grand Jury determined that Lynn "was handling the cases precisely as his boss wished." If so, why wasn't the arrested monsignor's bosses Newarchbishop Anthony Bevilacqua arrested as well?
Since 2004 Lynn served under Newarchbishop Justin Rigali as pastor of the Novus Ordo St. Joseph's church in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, which includes nearly 4,000 families. Like so many Newchurchers who deceive themselves about the proven immorality of their clergy, up to Newpope, one of his congregation told the press: "I'm absolutely stunned; we totally trusted him." The TRADITIO Network was the first to break the story a month ago about how Abbot Leonard Giardina's traditional Benedictine Abbey of Christ the King was being taken over by internal saboteurs favorable to the Newchurch of the New Order, even while the Abbot was lying on his deathbed from a stroke. The Novus Ordo saboteurs didn't even wait until the Abbot's body was cold. Moreover, the man who had almost singlehandedly built a beautiful new traditional Benedictine abbey in Cullman, Alabama, and for two decades fought off attempts at takeover by two Novus Ordo bishops was virtually dumped into the ground without even an announced Traditional Latin Mass sung for the repose of his soul.
The TRADITIO Network received fragments of internal accounts of what had happened and published what could be gleaned from them about what was going on. However, the Cullman lay community as a whole refused to stand up for its abbey or to inform traditional Catholics in the United States and around the world what was going on. The Cullman community will almost certainly pay the price of losing their traditional abbey, probably first to some Half Novus Ordo "Motu" arrangement, then to the full-blown Novus Ordo.
It wasn't until a fortnight ago that the TRADITIO Network was able to report that one Benedictine priest and two traditional Benedictine nuns had stood up against the traditional abbey's takeover by the Novus Ordo saboteurs, packed up their belongings, and left to refound Abbot Giardina's traditional Benedictine community in another location, temporarily in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Sr. Mary Veronica, O.S.B., has sent a communique to the true friends of the Abbot Giardina and his traditional principles, which for the first time reveals the circumstances of the takeover of the abbey by forces sympathetic to the Newchurch of the New Order. Sister first apologizes, in a message that she has kindly allowed us to publish on the TRADITIO Network, that this information is coming out late because these last few months have been "been extremely stressful and trying, to say the least." She continues:
It was our fervent desire to remain in the monastery he [Abbot Giardina] founded and fulfill our vows as Benedictines. This was abruptly interrupted by an assembly called of the monks and nuns by Fr. Sebastian on Dec. 28th. Fr. Sebastian, Prior of the monastery, but not having the authority by himself to make final major decisions concerning the monastery, decided to compromise [with the New Order].
It was announced that he had made contact with a certain Monsignor of the conciliar church, and was no longer tolerating the Religious who were traditionally steadfast in the true Roman Traditional Catholic Faith. Abbot Giardina founded the monastery for the very purpose of continuing and preserving this beloved Faith. Four of us were unjustly expelled. This is why St. Joseph's Monastery no longer exists.
In her communique Sr. Mary Veronica goes on to announce the plans of those traditional Benedictines who were expelled because of their fidelity to the traditional principles of Abbot Giardina. These expulsions are certainly reminiscent of Bernie Fellay's explusion from his Neo-SSPX of priests who publicly remained faithful to the principles of their founder, Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre.
We (some of us who were expelled) must relocate to continue to do what the Abbot labored and suffered for, for over twenty five years. It is my goal to establish a future Benedictine Convent as God so wills. Our elderly Mother Mary Monica, having Alzheimer's among other infirmities, went to her family for her needs. Under our present circumstances were not able to provide adequate care. Father Bernard, OSB is in this effort also. He wants to establish a monastery of monks. My establishing a convent depends upon his success at this.
Good Catholics, Fr. Bernard's and Sr. Mary Veronica's piteous plight reminds of those good priests and nuns who in the late 1960s stood against the Novus Ordo takeover of the Church. They were treated with contempt and even suffered stripes for the Faith, not only from the Novus Ordo maniacs, from whom it would be expected, but from "obedient" sellouts, who failed to support the courageous traditional priests and nuns, who were trying to fight for them. That is how the Catholic Church was hijacked in front of their eyes. Now they gnash their teeth in the exterior darkness, but they have only themselves to blame. If only they had acted as courageous as the people of Egypt to overthrow the Novus Ordo oppressors.
In the words of Our Lord Jesus Christ: "Amen I say to you, they have received their reward." Indeed these pseudo-traditionalist sellouts who then and now are selling out to the Novus Ordo -- and its deceptive handmaiden, the "Motu" Mess of 1962+ -- have received their reward. They have become united body and soul to the corrupt and unCatholic Newchurch of the New Order, which has lost the Catholic Mass and Sacraments and whose Newclergy's principal activity for the period since Vatican II seems to be in raping children, abetting the rape of children, and covering up the rape of children from the police. Some of them even wear white garments, spitting in the face of Our Lady's moral purity. Yes, they have received their reward.
The Society of St. Pius X claims that it doesn't like the Vatican II Council. If that is so, why is the SSPX implementing many of that Modernist Council's Novus Ordo liturgical practices? A "Multicultural Youth Mass," which the SSPX recently held in a Novus Ordo chapel in France, exhibited numerous modernistic characteristics of Vatican II and the Novus Ordo, such that it could hardly be recognized as any form of the Traditional Latin Mass. This Mess was caught on tape by a Newchurcher vacationing in France. And where did this SSPX Mess, reeking with the odor of sacrilege, take place? In Lourdes! Truly Our Lady must be weeping over her Eighth Sorrow.
At the SSPX Youth Mess, one first of all notices that the youths are gathered around a semicircular Novus Ordo supper-table-style altar, much as they do at Novus Ordo youth Messes. As in the Novus Ordo, no crucifix is readily apparent on the altar, but a giant Protestant-style cross stands entirely outside the ambit of the "supper table."
As in the Novus Ordo Mess, a directrix flails her arms above her head near the front of the semicircle amidst the congregation, to lead the congregation and a mixed choir in singing. At a sung Traditional Latin Mass, there is a men's schola or choir to sing the chant or polyphony -- from the choir loft. Mixed choirs are prohibited at a sung Traditional Latin Mass, just as mixed-sex servers are prohibited at a Traditional Latin Mass -- although some of Benedict-Ratzinger's Half Novus Ordo "Motu" Messes of 1962+ are starting to use altar-servettes.
Isn't this just what Vatican II dictated? The Modernist Council's Liturgy Constitution (secs. 54 and 118) requires not the Catholic "internal participation" spoken of by Pope St. Pius X in his campaign against the Modernist heresy in the Church, but the Modernistic "active participation" of the Protestants. Traditional Catholics have also unanimously condemned John Paul-Wojtyla's and Benedict-Ratzinger's "Woodstocks," at which numerous youths engage in drugs and sex right under the nose of Newpope's Novus Ordo services. Now it seems clear that the Neo-SSPX is going down the same Novus Ordo road, while at the same time its leader, Bernie Fellay, deceitfully maintains to his membership that he is opposed to Vatican II.
The machine-confession "app" that was commented upon in these Daily Commentaries has really boomeranged on Newvatican, which has been caught attempting to spin its idiocy. On February 9, 2011, Benedict-Ratzinger's spokesman, presbyter Federico Lombardi, who has previously tried to spin Benedict-Ratzinger's gaffe on condoms, was stumbling all over himself trying to explain the latest gaffe on the machine-confession app that was "imprimatured" by a Newbishop. The story that Lombardi is now trying to put over is that the app was intended merely to be a "preparation," not a "replacement" for "reconciliation." Why would a "preparation" program purport to give out penance?
Good Catholics, just ask yourself this: Why would Newvatican need to issue a "clarification" if the original message had been clear from the outset? And why was there so much confusion that Newpope's own press secretary had to make a statement to the whole world? Obviously, things are rotten in the kingdom of Denmark, and this is just another example of the Benedict-Ratzinger papacy shooting itself in the foot and then trying to "spin" its way out of its own embarrassment. Even the professional Newvatican journalists reported the "imprimatur" as meaning that Newchurchers are allowed to make a confession to their iPhone or iPad, and thousands of Newchurchers' comments on the internet indicate that that is exactly how they understand it.
So much confusion has arisen in fact that the app developers' arms were twisted by Newchurch to issue an immediate "update" with a notification stating: "this app is to only be used in confession with a Catholic priest." It seems that another app update is needed because the Newchurch of the New Order has in fact neither "confession" nor "priests." These were dumped after Vatican II in favor of the unsacrament of "reconciliation" and "presbyters," who are no longer ordained as "priests," but merely "installed" with no explicit power to absolve even their dog or cat!
Sure, sure, Federico. You and your principal, Benedict-Ratzinger, can try to do damage control now, but you're clearly concocting a different story from the one that was originally rolled out. Just look at the internet comments on the app from your Newchurchers, who clearly believe that they can push a button on their iPhone or iPad for two dollars U.S. and have their sins "absolved." And that fact should be no surprise to anybody. The Novus Ordo sect's own statistics show that only about 10 per cent of its members go to its unsacrament of "reconciliation" even once a year; two-thirds of them never go at all!
The latest Novus Ordo scam: an iPhone "app" has been released to confess to. The "penitent" confesses to the machine, which elicits his age, sex, occupation, and how much time has elapsed since his last "confession." The app then displays a Novus Ordo "examination of conscience" to answer and decides what "penance" to impose, while the "penitent" presses a button to say an "act of contrition" for him. The app was designed by a three-man team based in Indianapolis, Indiana. A brainless bishop, Kevin Rhodes, of the Newchurch diocese of Fort Wayne, Indiana, has even given the app an "imprimatur," a kind of approval that was obsoleted after Vatican II.
Of course, this whole thing is a scam upon clueless Newchurchers. The Newchurch of the New Order doesn't even have the sacrament of Penance (Confession) since Vatican II. It was replaced forty years ago with a phony unsacrament of "reconciliation," which has been made into some kind of pop-psychology idiocy. Novus Ordo reconciliation is absolutely invalid, just as invalid as its Protestant-Masonic-Pagan Mess, and just as invalid as "confession" to a machine. You might just as well "confess" to your cat or dog for all the validity there is in it.
Naturally, the title of the app, "Roman Catholic Confession," was chosen to deceive clueless Newchurchers into believing that nothing has changed in the Novus Ordo. Use a few old terms like priest instead of the new term presbyter, or Mass instead of the new term eucharistic dinner, or Confession instead of the new unsacrament of Reconciliation, and the Newchuchers will roll over like proverbial dogs for the scam.
Another problem is that there is no "seal of the confessional" with this app. The developer himself admitted: "We tried to make it as secure as possible." Complete security is, of course, not possible. People's cell phones are bugged all the time, wireless computer connections are hijacked for invasion of privacy, and spyware is peppered all over people's computers. Come to think of it, this Novus Ordo app does in fact make a lot of sense -- for Newpope and his Newbishops personally. They have commited so many mortal sins -- with no obvious signs as yet of any real repentance -- that it would be convenient for them to pay the two dollars to "absolve" themselves. Of course, a machine cannot "absolve" them from their grave public sins. Such "absolution" is completely worthless and invalid.
Rather, Newpope and his Newbishops have likely earned the Hell to which they would consigned themselves by their filthy acts against children. In the chilling words of St. John Chrysostom: "the floor of Hell is paved with the skulls of bishops." And the Great Doctor of the Church knew what he was talking about. In the century in which he lived, we have the statement of other Great Doctors of the Church, St. Jerome and St. Augustine, that most of the bishops and probably even several popes were heretics, having succumbed to the Arian heresy that denied the divinity of Christ in order to play up to the Roman emperor.
Good Catholics, the phony Novus Ordo app proves once again that Benedict-Ratzinger's Newchurch of the New Order has no idea what Catholicism is. Correction: Newchurch leaders know full well that their brand of Novus Ordo "Catholicism" it is a joke, or rather a power game, whose own Vatican Bank has been charged with fraud and Mafia money-laundering and whose own Newclergy is allowed by its Newpope to rape children with impunity.
Admitting Protestant spouses in mixed marriages to be handed the Novus Ordo cookie may be the next step down the Hell hole for Benedict-Ratzinger and his Newchurch. He and Newcardinal Kurt Koch, his recent appointee as president of his Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, are considering a petition from the Canadian Conference of Catholic [Sic] Bishops to permit Protestant reception of the invalid Novus Ordo cookie. A delegation from the United Evangelical Lutheran Church of Germany was received in audience by Benedict-Ratzinger on January 24, 2011, to present their request that the Novus Ordo cookie be handed out to Protestants as "a form of general Eucharistic hospitality for everyone." The Protestants shrewdly sent to Newpope a delegation weighted with high-level representatives from Bavaria, Newpope's home region.
These ministers have already found the "Trojan horse" in the New Code of Canon Law, promulgated in 1983 by John Paul-Wojtyla for the Novus Ordo, to open the way for Protestant "communion" in Newchurch. The New Canon Law, which has been denounced as invalid by traditional Catholics, leaves many loopholes for heretical practices to be introduced. One of these is contained in Newcanon 844, which provides: "If , in the judgment of the diocesan bishop or of the Episcopal Conference, there is some other grave and pressing need..., Catholic ministers may lawfully administer these same sacraments to other Christians." The phrase "some other grave and pressing need" is reminiscent of the you-can-drive-an-elephant-through-it "exceptions" that the Vatican II Council sneaked in so effectively to allow heretical practices to be introduced into the New Order after the Council. These phrases were appropriately called "time-bombs." It was such a time-bomb that allowed the Traditional Latin Mass to be replaced by a full-blown, invalid Protestant-Masonic-Pagan service in 1969.
Article 36 of the Council's Liturgy Constitution provided: "The use of the Latin language is to be preserved in the Latin rites. But since the use of the mother tongue, whether in the Mass, the administration of the sacraments, or other parts of the liturgy, frequently may be of great advantage to the people, the limits of its employment may be extended." That BUT was the camel's nose under the tent, the back route by which Newchurch lost the Mass.
Good Catholics, Benedict-Ratzinger now appears to be setting the stage to hand out his invalid Novus Ordo cookie (and Kool-Aid) to every Tom, Dick, and Mohammed under the rubric of Vatican II's heresy of False Oecumenism. And don't you Motarians think that you will be exempt. When the change is made, it will be a change for the entire Newchurch, so Novus Ordo presbyters performing "Motu" Messes will also be required to hand out their invalid 1962 cookies to Protestants.
After all, Benedict-Ratzinger has himself publicly handed out the cookie to Protestants, as to Protestant "Brother" Schutz. Moreover, he is the proud Father of Heretical Sycretism. It was Josef Ratzinger, that suit-and-tied "priest," who personally introduced through his bishop at Vatican II the heretical time-bomb of Lumen Gentium's paragraph 8, that the Catholic Church was not the one and only true Church founded by Christ.
Protestants for the last 400 years have had ringing in their ears the Shakesperean English of the King James Version of 1611. Though that version may have some infelicitous phrases from the perspective of Catholic understanding of Scripture, there is no contradicting the fact that the English is beautiful and elevating, bringing from Church of England services into the common language many Biblical phrases. Catholics, of course, were in a much better situation with the Traditional Latin Mass. Catholics followed Sacred Tradition in having the sublimity of not a vernacular language, no matter how elevated, but a Sacred Language, Latin.
Rejecting the elevated text of the Traditional Latin Mass, in the vulgar English Novus Ordo of 1969 it was decided that sophisticated thought in religion should be rejected. That instead Newchurchers should be fed baby food. Even the Latin text of the Novus Ordo service of 1969 was baby Latin, not even the Latin of St. Jerome's Vulgate Bible.
A study was recently done to rate the Novus Ordo's fabricated "Third Eucharistic Prayer" according to the Flesch-Kincaid reading grade level test. The Novus Ordo English vernacular translation rated 8.4, that is, at the level of an eight-grader, not even at the level of a high-school freshman. For forty years, then, Newchurchers have been dumbed down to a childish service. No wonder profanity and -- shall we speak the obvious truth? -- dumbness has come to be a salient characteristic of Newchurchers. Ever since the publication of Benedict-Ratzinger's Motu Proprio Summorum pontificum of July 7, 2007, concerning the Half Novus Ordo, a veritable cottage industry has developed around the "Missal of 1962+." Associations of clergy and laity have organized presto-chango workshops to familiarize the beleaguered faithful with the newly-named "extraordinary rite," ecclesiastical supply houses have been only too happy to churn out the accoutrements of the 1962 "liturgy," expensive "traditional pilgrimages" are hawked, etc. I see several flaws with this false "counter-reformation":
The "Motu" Mess does not represent a genuine, permanent, and complete traditional Catholic restoration, but a marriage of Modernism and empty show, Catholicism and Protestantism, light and darkness, Christ and Lucifer. Consequently, traditional Catholics are bound to avoid it like the plague that it is.

In response to the Daily Commentary concerning the Mohammedans' looting of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, I don't see the need to preserve Egyptian antiquities. We are talking about pagan artifacts. Let the pagans destroy them if they want. No big deal!

That attitude is not a traditionally Catholic attitude. In fact, we are shocked the barbarity implied in it. The Roman Catholic Church, after all, is based upon classical Rome, which was officially pagan. Many of the rites of the Catholic Church are taken directly from the classical rites of the pagan Roman state religion, turned to Christian use.
Nevertheless, unlike the barbaric Mohammedan imams, Catholics never said, "Burn all the pagan temples!" Rather, they said, Let us make them Catholic. Thus, some of the greatest pagan church buildings in Rome were made into Catholic churches, first among them the Pantheon, originally dedicated to all the pagan gods, but then converted to serve the true God.
Catholics have traditionally understood that God's Providence had used the great cultures, like the Egyptian, as well as the Babylonian, Greek, Roman, and others, to prepare men for the coming of the Christ. Catholics have, therefore, been in the forefront of preserving these antiquities for the knowledge and instruction of all mankind. It was, after all, the Egyptian pharaoh Akenaton, who is credited with introducing the concept of monotheism to the world, through some of the most beautiful poetry, which may even have influenced King David's Hebrew psalms. The Patriarch Moses too may well be dated after Akenaton's dynasty and influence.
Catholics should not be barbarians like the Mohammedans, who destroyed the great Library of Alexandria, repository of the world's knowledge, in the 7th century A.D., claiming that if it wasn't in the Koran, it wasn't worth knowing. True Catholics are not barbarians!
More evidence abounds that Newpope has finished playing up to semi-traditional organizations like Bernie Fellay's Neo-SSPX and is openly demonstrating the Modernist origins that he has practiced since before Vatican II (1962-1965). We TRADITIO Fathers have consistently pointed out that Benedict-Ratzinger is no "traditionalist." He is simply a foxy Modernist who has tried to pull the wool over the eyes of such blindmen as the SSPX's head, Bernie Fellay, and his Neo-SSPX.
Recent developments reported in these Daily Commentaries have indicated that what the Society's founder, Archbishop Lefebvre, learned about Josef Ratzinger in a year or two, Fellay is now starting to realize only after a full twenty years! Fellay is only now becoming aware that "The Fox" has taken him for a ride, but naturally Fellay can't be honest and admit it publicly. It would be too embarrassing, and his oft-demonstrated prideful attitude, which has led him to disrespect his senior bishop, Richard Williamson, and to dismiss three of his leading clergy for their adherence to Archbishop Lefebvre's principles, will not allow him to admit honestly that he was duped by "The Fox."
The latest revelation of Benedict-Ratzinger's Modernism is his February 2011 appointment to a life term on his Pontificia Academia Scientiarum (Pontifical Academy of Sciences) a noted pro-abortion and pro-"gay marriage" scientist, Miguel Nicolelis. The appointment of Nicolelis follows closely upon the heels on Benedict-Ratzinger's appointment in January 2011, for the first time in 400 years, a Protestant, Werner Arber, to lead the Pontifical Academy of Sciences.Benedict-Ratzinger's appointee Nicolelis is an outright advocate of abortion and "gay marriage." In an article published on October 26, 2010, Nicolelis expressed his outrage at what he called the "hysterical right" for standing against pro-abortion and pro-homosexualist views. He had the temerity to suggest that "Christian values" mean accepting abortion and sodomy as "legitimate."
Under Benedict-Ratzinger, the Pontifical Academy of Sciences has, in fact, taken positions diametrically opposed to Catholic teaching. Moreover, the once-Catholic group has comprised its status as scientific authorities by buying into the "Global Warming" Hoax, in which fellow scientists were caught red-handed, for political purposes, falsifying data and conspiring to prevent publication of those scientists with whom they disagreed. Egypt's antiquities chief, Zahi Hawass, has said that his heart is broken as his country's antiquities being looted by his own fellow Egyptians. Many priceless artifacts have already been looted from Cairo's Egyptian Museum, including what appear to be the mummies of Yuya and Tjuya, the great-grandparents of Tutankhamen and "two of the best preserved mummies from ancient Egypt." Some of the country's lesser known museums have been emptied of their treasures, including the one in Memphis, the capital of ancient Egypt, about 19 kilometres south of Cairo. Hawass said the Coptic Museum, Royal Jewelry Museum, National Museum of Alexandria, and El Manial Museum had all been looted.
Hawass also said he is afraid the ruling National Democratic Party headquarters in Cairo, torched and vandalized by protesters on January 28, 2011, could collapse and topple onto the 100-year-old Museum of Egyptian Antiquities next door. "If this building is destroyed, it will fall over onto the museum," Hawass said. About nine looters took advantage of the civil uprising to break into the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities early January 29, 2011, in an attempt to steal mummies. They managed to lop off the heads of two mummies and damage a dozen objects before other residents cordoned off the building, also known as the Egyptian Museum, by making a human chain and preventing the looters from leaving. Tanks rolled into place around the museum the next day.
The Egyptian Museum is home to about 120,000 artifacts, including the famed gold death mask of King Tutankhamen. It sits close to Cairo's Tahrir Square, where the city's main protests have been taking place. Plans had been underway to build a bigger museum outside the city near the pyramids, because the museum itself is crumbling and too small to feature adequately most of its collection. Around the country armored personnel carriers have been seen protecting archeological sites, including the Karnak Temple in the ancient town of Luxor. But Hawas has shot himself in the foot. In recent years he has been importuning countries around the world to return Egyptian antiquities to Egypt. But there is a good reason why these priceless artifacts should be spread around the world. For example, who would not rather have the Rosetta Stone in the British Museum than in strife-ridden Cairo? Even during World War II, the British were responsible enough to see to it that this irreplaceable monument, whose discovery in 1801 opened to the world the hieroglyphs and the history that they unlocked, was kept safe from the London bombings.
That recent reader who wrote that she attended an "conservative" Novus Ordo service for lack of anything else convenient really set me off. That reader -- and those like her -- needs a serious wake-up call.
Our family drive over two hours every Sunday to attend the fully Traditional Latin Mass. We will not compromise. There is an SSPX chapel nearby that we drive right past. It's hardly an option because it's not the fully Traditional Latin Mass. The SSPX does not believe that the Novus Ordo "holy orders," the ones fabricated by the Freemason presbyter Hannibal Bugnini and his Committee of Six Protestant Ministers, are invalid. In fact, they are totally invalid, and so is the Novus Ordo service. You don't engage in idolatry at the Novus Ordo just because worship of the one and only true God is not convenient. It is alarming how dumbed-down the Traditional Catholic Movement has become in just a few years!
Looking at all these pseudo-traditionalists, it seems as if the real Catholic religion is almost entirely wiped out. There might be deep snow today all over the Midwest of the United States, but traditional Catholics are truly in a desert!

On a Novus Ordo forum, eucharistic ministers admitted that they mess up the distribution of the Novus Ordo "communion" cookie when they try to administer it on the tongue. I think that those ministers should exercise caution and common sense before they spread disease among the community. The Lavabo should be more than a symbolic ritual, and hands should be sanitized for the sake of everyone's health.

Disease is much more easily transmitted in the Novus Ordo liquid form, particularly when that form is sugary Kool-Aid or grape juice. Even if it is wine, the alcoholic content is not sufficient to sterilize the cup from the spittle of scores of "communicants." Traditionally, the Church has prohibited anyone from receiving the Most Precious Blood except the celebrant of the Traditional Latin Mass.
As opposed to the unCatholic Novus Ordo, in the Traditional Latin Mass, the rubrics have always directed that the priest thoroughly wash his hands before Mass. The Lavabo is a second extra washing. If the priest should touch the tongue of a communicant -- which is rare in the case of a traditional priest, unless the communicant does not know how to receive properly (open the mouth rather widely with the tongue touching the lower teeth) -- he uses the purification bowl, which can have a sterilizing agent in it. This is just one of many grave problems with the invalid Novus Ordo and its incompetent "eucharistic ministers" (and "ministresses")!
SSPX Superior General Bernie Fellay's German press office has released one of its first critical statements about Benedict-Ratzinger. Fellay and his Neo-SSPX criticized Newpope for his attempt to "beatify" John-Paul Wojtyla because his's pontificate was "marred by a pronounced oecumenism." Fellay's office has also criticized Benedict-Ratzinger's call for an Assisi III convocation in October 2011.
Two criticisms by Fellay of Benedict-Ratzinger in one week! Before, he has not thought it important enough to chastise Newpope publicly for his personal involvement in the abetting and covering up the rapes of tens of thousands of children, many of them handicapped, not only by his own Newchurch presbyters, but even of his bishops. He has allowed these criminals to run wild in his Newchurch and has left them in place, including the Belgian bishop who admitted to raping his own nephew on numerous occasions. Before, Fellay publicly bought into the Half Novus Ordo Mess of 1962+. True, Archbishop Lefebvre used it too, but at least refused to accept the worst parts of it and indicated in his last years an inclination to go back to the fully Traditional Latin Mass. Fellay has expressed no doubts about the Half Novus Ordo "Motu" Mess at all.
Why is Fellay now one of his periodic flip-flops from liberalist to conservative? There are actually several reasons for Fellay's flip-flop.
Good Catholics, the worm has turned for Fellay. The evidence indicates that Fellay's ambition fell prey to the ecclesiastical games that Josef Ratzinger is so known for. Fellay was at first wined and dined by The Fox. He had visions of getting "recognition" from the New Order. He loved being an "unexcommunicated" member of the New Order, whereas Archbishop Lefebvre wore his excommunication from that false sect as a badge of honor. Moreover, the Archbishop was immune to such ambitions. He was retired and had already held some of the highest positions in the Church. He needed no "recognition" from the Newchurch of the New Order.

Unfortunately, we are not in an area where we have access to a traditional Catholic priest. The nearest would be about two hours away. A local Novus Ordo priest does a reverent Novus Ordo service. His Novus Ordo is done facing the East, and he gives communion on the tongue to those kneeling. He is doing as much as he can. His service gives you the feeling that it should. If I attend this reverent service, am I doing as much as I can?

"Feelings" are unimportant; it is facts that matter. You are not dealing with a priest, but with an invalid Novus Ordo presbyter "performing" a Novus Ordo service or a Half Novus Ordo "Latin Mess" of 1962+, for which he is not ordained. Novus Ordo presbyters are merely "installed" to "preside over the assembly of the people" at Novus Ordo services, not ordained to offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass "for the living and the dead," as are traditional Catholic priests. Even when a Novus Ordo presbyter invalidly "performs" a "Latin Mass," it is not the Traditional Latin Mass, but the Half Novus Ordo Mess of 1962+.
That two-hour trip sounds like the right thing. We know people who travel four to five hours to worship at the true Traditional Latin Mass (that 1962 Mess is not the Traditional Latin Mass. Moreover, "reverence" is not a criterion. We know Protestant ministers who are very reverent, but they are heretics, performing invalid services, just like the Novus Ordo presbyters.
"As much as he can"? Absolutely not! Fr. Gommar DePauw had three doctorates from the prestigious Louvain Catholic University. He was Dean of Studies at the most prestigious seminary in the United States. When Vatican II started monkeying around with the Mass in 1962, he immediately packed up and left to found the Catholic Traditionalist Movement in New York in 1964. What if Christ hadn't got up after His first fall and said: "Once is as much as I can!"
FIRST AND FOREMOST, THE UNAVAILABILITY OF THE TRUE MASS IS NEVER AN EXCUSE TO ATTEND THE INVALID, PROTESTANT-MASONIC-PAGAN NOVUS ORDO "SERVICE." It is no more a "Mass" than a Protestant service, You can't give in to an unCatholic service and say that you did "as much as you can." No, there is much more that that presbyter can do. Just think what would have happened if such presbyters really had the guts to stand up for the True Faith and refused to go along with phony Messes. The Novus Ordo would come crumbling down. Instead, making lame excuses, they support the immoral Newchurch and have gotten exactly what they deserve: a New Order sect with unCatholic doctrine, an invalid, unCatholic Mess and "sacraments," and an unCatholic immorality on a worldwide scale that exceeds anything ever seen before.
Yes, that true Traditional Latin Mass two hours away is sounding more and more worth the trip. Even if you make the trip two or three times a year, that is two or three times more that you will actually assist at a True Mass. Then you can truly say: "Yes, I am doing as much as I can."
A Newchurch presbyter who was exposed as a paedophile rapist in 1992 in the the diocese of Toledo, Ohio, was working as recently as 2007 in Newchurch parishes in the archdiocese of Detroit, Michigan. Herbert Richey raped eight children, and it took Newcardinal Ratzinger, John-Paul Wojtyla's "Sex Czar," five years to expel Herbert Richey from the Newchurch clergy, but apparently the defrocking didn't last long: the paedophile was rehired for Newchurch.
Allen Vigneron, infamous as the celebrant of the "Chinese Tea" Mess in the Newdiocese of Oakland, California, whence he himself was transferred to become the Newarchbishop of Detroit, pled ignorance when advocates for the child victims stated: "We think it's a very irresponsible hire by the Catholic [sic] Church. We just want an answer of who hired him and why, and since they're trying to clean up their image, how this can happen in this day and age.... They've tried to pretend that it [Newchurch's Sex & Embezzlement Holocaust] didn't exist.... They also have an ability to hide the bodies.... Maximilian Krah is a German lawyer and fund-raiser for Jewish causes. At was around the time when this Jewish supporter and Fellay became partners in heading almost a dozen financial investment companies in Germany, Fellay turned against his senior bishop, Richard Williamson, who had taken a "politically incorrect" position on a disputed matter of secular history, the nature of the so-called holocaust of World War II. It seems that Williamson's passing statement during an interview by Swedish Public Television did not jibe with Fellay's activities in cooperation with a supposed Catholic who supported Jewish causes. Thus, Fellay expelled Williamson from his position as Rector of the SSPX's Argentinian seminary and tried to silence him, an attempt that has not been entirely successful, as Williamson continues to issue weekly bulletins.

Why did Cardinal Ottaviani's brilliant and reasonable intervention disputing the Catholicity and validity of the Novus Ordo service after its "test run" in 1968 fail to influence Paul VI to reject it outright?

For two principal reasons. First of all, because the fix was in. The Modernists had taken control of the Vatican II Council (1962-1965) and its implementing committees. Second, because a new pope was in place, Paul VI, who was essentially a Modernist himself, or at least was willing to go along with the Modernists' heresies. Those at the time commonly said that whatever the Freemason presbyter, Hannibal Bugnini, the chief architect of the Novus Ordo and head of the post-conciliar liturgical committee along with his six Protestant ministers, wanted, he got from Paul VI.
Actually, the Ottaviani Intervention did roundly embarrass Paul VI and the Modernists, because Ottaviani was the Prefect of the Doctrine of the Faith Commission. The Bugnini-Paul VI version even got the definition of the Mass wrong, substituting for the Catholic definition the Protestant one! The Novus Ordo was withdrawn for a year, but them reissued the following year, 1969, without significant change.
You have to give the heretics credit for their political foxiness. They infiltrated the Church once again after Pope St. Pius X had routed them out, seized control of the liturgical apparatus in 1948, implemented the basic principles of Novus Ordo in 1956 and 1960-1962, and easily seized the Council from the hands of the ailing John XXIII, who was actually an outspoken liturgical and doctrinal conservative.
