There are probably many clueless Newchurchers who think that the only real change the Vatican II Anti-council made to the Sacred Liturgy in the Newchurch of the New Order was to "translate" the Sacred Latin into the vulgar tongues. In reality Vatican II completely destroyed the Mass in the "institutional" Church of the New Order six ways to Sunday. One of these ways was to suppress the traditional veneration of the Saints.
When the "New Mess" was introduced in 1969, the first apostate Newpope Unsaint Paul VI-Montini suppressed or demoted in the New Order sect some of the most long-venerated Saints in the Catholic Church: St. Christopher, St. Valentine, St. Nicholas, St. Blase, St. George, St. Barbara, St. Catherine, St. Philomena, and 200 other Saints. Montini even struck from the Novus Ordo Confiteor St. Michael the Archangel, St. John the Baptist, and Sts. Peter & Paul.
Already 1956 even the Half New Order Pius XII, in league with his Freemason presbyter Hannibal Bugnini, struck out most of the Commemorations of the Saints at Sunday and other Masses. In the fully Traditional Latin Mass (1950), whenever most Saints’ feastdays coincided with a Sunday, the principal Collect Prayer was that of the Sunday, but the commemorated Saints would be prayed to for their intercession as well. With the loss of these prayers, it is no wonder the apostate Newchurch of the New Order together with its pretender Newpopes is sinking fast.
Sunday, March 17, 2024, is an example of the Novus Ordo principle. At fully Traditional Latin Masses the principal Collect Prayer at Mass is that of Passion Sunday, with a Commemoration of St. Patrick, Bishop & Confessor. Bugnini-Pius XII expunged the Commemoration of St. Patrick in 1956, and St. Patrick and the rest of the commemorated Saints remain expunged in the Unextraordinary "Mess of 1962."
Traditional Catholics, so effective has Newchurch been in destroying the veneration of the Saints that most Newchurchers would now be hard-pressed even to describe the significance of their own name or baptismal Saint. Thus, the dogma of the Communion of Saints is essentially suppressed in the apostate Newchurch of the New Order, and an the heretic and blasphemous Protestant doctrine is pushed. Newchurch has also, since 1969, been removing Saints' names from the title of its temples, so that no longer names like St. Augustine's Church is used, but "Christ the Light," or some other generic Novus Ordo-style name.
The Newchurch of the New Order has been the kiss of death for once-Catholic religious orders. Newchurch hates religious orders. Francis-Bergoglio in particular has persecuted them: the Franciscans, Carmelites, Christian Brothers, and others. Many of them have gone under entirely during the regime of the Newchurch of the New Order since its founding at the Vatican II Anti-council in 1964.
The Missionary Society of St. Paul the Apostle (Congregatio Sancti Pauli) announced on May 13, 2024. that its activities would be essentially defunct within a decade, with only a couple of dozen presbyters left. Since 1967 the number of presbyters has fallen 81 per cent. Since 2004 half the presbyters left or passed on. The Paulists are closing three national offices and leaving only two campus ministries operating.
The Paulists were founded in 1858 and were known for their informational services to encourage conversion to Catholicism. They once operated Catholic bookstores and published pamphlets with a distinctive yellow cover. The current apostate Newpope, Francis-Bergoglio, despises conversions and calls them "proselytizing." Moreover, since 1964 the Catholic Church does not exist in the apostate Newchurch of the New Order, founded at the Vatican II Anti-council. Traditional Catholics, Newchurch's efforts to turn itself into something not Catholic, but falsely "oecumenical," by which it proclaimed "we all worship the same gods" and "all religions are true," has been a decided flop. Therefore, the Paulists are closing their ministries on evangelization, on "estranged" Newchurchers, and on "oecumenical and interfaith relations." Until recently I had a Traditional Latin Mass available to me. Now that I don't, what can I do to practice my Traditional Catholic Faith properly? I am hearing so many confusing recommendations that sound more like practicing occultism than true Traditional Catholicism: Faustina Kowalska's "Divine Mercy," suspect "apparitions" at Garabandal and Medjugorje. Three Days of Darkness, End Times, and the like.
THE TRADITIO FATHERS REPLY.
You are right to suspect such gnostic-type cults. Many times Our Lord and the Apostles warned against such things, which can be a grave sin against the First Commandment of God. The first requirement, of course, is that you stay close to Christ Himself, especially through the Mass and Sacraments, as much as you can in your given situation. Even if you have to travel a few times a year to access these, you should do so.
Stay close to Our Lord throughout the day. That doesn't mean mouthing reams of memorized prayers. Our Lord condemns that kind of thing too. Be focused and succinct. Take 10-15 minutes of quiet time each day to meditate upon Christ and how you can follow His teachings, obey His Commandments, and practice the Moral and Spiritual Virtues, and the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy.
Sanctify the day with one more of the rich traditional prayers of the Church. The Divine Office is the supreme prayer, of course, but many Catholics are ignorant of the "Little" Offices associated with it, which are very suited to laypeople, which are more varied than the Rosary. Pray all or part of the Officium Parvum Beatae Mariae Virginis (Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary), which is a kind of "mini" Divine Office that you can pray throughout the day. It comes in a small book that you can easily keep with you throughout the day. If you can't pray the whole "Little Office," pray parts of it as your time and circumstances allow. There are versions that have Latin and English on facing pages. If you can pray the Little Office in the Church's sacred Latin language, as recommended by many Saints, so much the better; otherwise, a vernacular will do.

While Newchurch sites and programmes are being shut down right and left in Europe and the Americas, it turns out that Newvatican has been supporting Islamic regimes, several of which have been warring against Christian Civilization. But even the Newchurchers are beginning to smell the rat. Under the monicker of contributions to the Holy Land, Newchurch has been raising funds for Jerusalem, Palestine, Israel, Jordan, Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Turkey, Iran and Iraq. Most of these countries are openly hostile to Christian Civilization.
On March 8, 2024, Newvatican's Dicastery for the Eastern Church reported that it had collected over 7,000,000 USD in 2023 for these countries, but that that number was down over 25 per cent from the over 9,000,000 USD collected in 2022.
Much of the annual Pro Terra Sancta "Collection for Christians in the Holy Land," as the Newvatican report itself admits, goes to non-Christians, in fact to Islamists. As just one example from the report, Newvatican spends over half a million dollars to Bethlehem University to train Palestinean Muslims and spends over one million dollars on a "Secretariat of Solidarity" with Islamists. Traditional Catholics, does Newvatican ever take a collection to replace the funds it has embezzled and to pay reparations to the children raped, sodomized, and otherwise sexually assault in Newchurch's Great Sex & Embezzlement Holocaust? Is Newvatican politically enmeshed with hostile Islamic nations in the Middle East? An Italian Newdiocese, just one of many, has "instructed" its presbyters to participate during Ramadan in Islamic rituals on the authority of Francis-Bergoglio's directives on "interreligious dialogue." One can only wonder how deeply embedded Newvatican is in what Pope Pius XI called the "darkness of Islamism."
On March 13, 2024, the Newchurch diocese of Buffalo, New York, announced that, having declared bankruptcy in 2020, it is now being forced to sell off its headquarters complex for 10,000,000 USD to pay off the victims of its presbyters' 900 (and still counting) paedophile sex crimes. Its staff has been reduced by two-thirds from 290 in 1985 to 88.
The almost 9,000 square-meter complex includes an additional two-story building, an adjacent garage structure, and three parking lots. Traditional Catholics, this is just the beginning. The Buffalo Newdiocese needs to cough up ten times the amount of its headquarters to pay judgments to its child victims. 36 Newchurch dioceses in the United States have gone into bankruptcy, about one out of every five. Meanwhile, in Newchurch's Great Sex & Embezzlement Holocaust, Paul VI-Montini, JPII-Wojtyla, Benedict-Ratzinger, and Francis-Bergoglio let their Newcardinal, Newbishop, and presbyter criminals off with barely a slap on the hand. In justice, the apostate Newchurch should be dismantled.
On March 11, 2024, the Pope terminated relations with Newpope Francis-Bergoglio, condemning Bergoglio's "homosexual blessings" as uncatholic. Pope Theodore II of Alexandria, Patriarch of the ancient Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church, who traditionally bears the title Pope, has condemned as uncatholic Bergoglio's decree "Fiducia supplicans" of December 18, 2023, essentially encouraging the "blessing" of "homosexual couples."
In issuing his condemnation, the Pope was speaking for the unanimous opinion of all Oriental Orthodox Churches. The Pope's condemnation has been described as indicating an "oecumenical collapse," as the dialogue had been ongoing for twenty years under the Newchurch regimes of Benedict-Ratzinger and Francis-Bergoglio In fact, dialogue with the Orthodox are at the top of Bergoglio's priority list, but already the Russian Orthodox Patriarch Cyril, head of the largest branch of Eastern Orthodoxy, has publicly rejected any meeting with Bergoglio. Contrary to Bergoglio's apostate statements, the Pope stated decisively and clearly the Catholic position that Bergoglio rejects:
The Coptic Orthodox Church affirms its firm position of rejecting all forms of homosexual relationships, because they violate the Holy Bible and the law by which God created man as male and female, and the Church considers any blessing of such relations, whatever its type, to be a blessing for sin, and this is unacceptable." Traditional Catholics, the apostate Francis-Bergoglio, Newpope of the Newchurch of the New Order, which is most certainly NOT the Catholic Church, has already approved "gay marriage" under the rubric of "civil unions" and has essentially given his imprimatur to "transsexuals," recognizing them with a weekly meeting in conjunction with his Angelus. He refuses condemn sodomy, traditionally one of the traditional Four Sins that Cry out to God for Retribution, claiming "Who am I to judge?"
Rightly Our Lord call the High Priest and leaders of the Church of His day "speluncam latronum," a den of thieves (Luke 19:46). The same is true today, two millennia later, of the Newchurch of the New Order. Hardly a week goes by without a report of some Newpope, Newcardinal, Newbishop, or presbyter stealing large sums of money from collections and donations from their Newchurch followers. The latest scandal comes from the Newarchdiocese of New York, headed by Timothy "Laughing Cow" Dolan, who recently allowed the staging of a transsexual "funeral" in his St. Patrick's Newcathedral.
Presbyter Robert Henry, one of Dolan's presbyters, got away with stealing 270,000 USD from his Newparish. He was prosecuted by the secular authorities for grand larceny, but Newchurch has not taken any action in justice toward its own followers, who donated their hard-earned money to the Newchurch scam. Francis-Bergoglio and Dolan, by not punishing their criminal Newclergyman, have simply hoisted the white flag, surrendering to rampant theft and other corruption. Documented examples of fraud, theft, and embezzlement in Newchurch are on the rise in recent years. A recent study found that more than half of these cases showed that the criminal newclergy stole church funds "primarily to support a lavish lifestyle."
Theft in New York's Newchurch is hardly unknown. In 2008 presbyter John Woolsey, dubbed the "Rolex" presbyter, stole 800,000 USD from his Newparish and was returned to active duty in the Newarchdiocese. He used the stolen money to buy 50-60 Rolex watches, expensive golfing vacations, and cosmetic surgery. Newchurch, under Benedict-Ratzinger at the time, did nothing against Woolsey, who eventually enjoyed a nice retirement. [Some information for this Commentary was contributed by Catholic World News.]
Traditional Catholics, the same leniency persists throughout Newchurch, in spite of public hand-writing by the Newpopes, which is offered merely for show, not corrective action. The same has been true in the cases of the hundreds of thousands of children raped, sodomized, and otherwise sexually assaulted by Newchurch clergy. In this case, presbyter Henry and his associates in the leadership of Newchurch have taken literally the title of the Newparish, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and simply "helped" themselves to Newchurch money.
The Islamic period called Ramadan begins on March 10 and ends on April 8 in 2024. Islamism is categorized as an infidel sect, described in by Pope Pius XI in his Consecration to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, which is prayed annually on the Feast of Christ the King, as "tenebrae Islamismi" (the darkness of Islamism). To participate in such a non-Catholic, even anti-Catholic, religion is a Mortal Sin against the First Commandment of God and against the Virtue of Faith.
On February 8, 2024, the Newchurch diocese of Bergamo, Italy, famous for being the birthplace of John XXIII, has "instructed" its presbyters to participate during Ramadan in Islamic rituals on the authority of Francis-Bergoglio's directives on "interreligious dialogue." These directives were issued by presbyter Massimo Rizzi, Director of the Office for Interreligious Dialogue. Traditional Catholics, the Newchurch of the New Order, which is most certainly NOT the Catholic Church, once again in 2024 is urging its followers to sin gravely by seeking out opportunities to participate in Ramadan observances. Ironically, the Mohammendans never tell their followers to seek out opportunities to convert to Catholicism.
Newchurch has been getting really desperate these days. So many people are leaving the sect certainly NOT the Catholic Church that some clueless laypeople have been trying to fill the gap by seeing contrived "miracles and apparitions." Many of these are falsely called "eucharistic miracles" -- an impossibility because Newchurch does not have an "eucharist," having rejected the valid Sacrament of Holy Orders in 1968 and the true Mass in 1969.
The latest "apparitions," in Trevignano, Italy, involving a so-called Madonna di Trevignano, are admitted by Newchurch itself to be fake, They are associated with the notorious Mejugorje, Yugoslavia, apparitions. Yet the desperate lay Newchurch "miracle makers" keep up the fabrications, "insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect" (Matthew 24:24/DRV), just as Our Lord predicted. The latest "apparitions" claim to weep blood and multipliy food. However, the "apparitions" contain "numerous theological errors." Traditional Catholics, the Newchuch lay leaders behind this latest fraud ran into trouble also with local secular authorities, who, after an investigation, ordered the demolition of the chapel where the group was conducting its meetings. Our Lord Himself disparaged such shenanigans, which replace the true Catholic religion based on faith and reason. He chided the people, saying: "Unless you see signs and wonders, you believe not" (John 4:48/DRV).
Dear TRADITIO Fathers:
I read that a Newchurch official stated that the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX), or rather the Neo-SSPX, which was reorganized in 1992 by Bernie Fellay to be more amenable to joining the apostate Newchurch of the New Order, is no longer "in schism" from Newchurch, that in fact it is now "cooperating" with Newchurch. Is this true?
THE TRADITIO FATHERS REPLY.
After the Archbishop's death in 1991, Bernie Fellay reorganized the originally traditional SSPX into a Neo-SSPX, which started to affiliate with the apostate Newchurch, and the situation became muddled. While Archbishop Lefebvre, the founder of the original, traditional SSPX, was alive, there was no doubt that SSPX Masses and Sacraments were valid. Most of the Neo-SSPX priests are still valid, but more recently there have been cases reported in which the Neo-SSPX is using invalid Novus Ordo personnel.
One must recognize the obvious fact that the Newchurch of the New Order is most certainly NOT the Catholic Church, any more than the Lutheran church is the Catholic Church. Newchurch does not have a valid Mass or Sacraments. It certainly does NOT have any of the four marks of the true Church of Christ: "one, holy, catholic, and apostolic."
The Neo-SSPX has been associating increasingly with the New Order sect since 2000 and in 2019 started using invalid New Order bishops for some functions. Reports of corruptions imported from the invalid New Order service (e.g., the use of unordained New Order presbyters, eucharistic ministresses, hosts from New Order services, and other corruptions have been reported from various sources). The Neo-SSPX is now a New Order-friendly organization, which is cooperating in certain New Order (Novus Ordo) functions, such as weddings and "reconciliation" (formerly Confession or the Sacrament of Penance).
Such cooperation with the anti-Catholic New Order sect is, of course, an abomination and has brought increasing charges both from within and without the Neo-SSPX that some Neo-SSPX functions may now be invalid.
Seven hundred and fifty years ago, on March 7, 1274, the Universal Doctor of the Church passed on to his eternal reward. St. Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274), the most brilliant theologian of the Church, saving perhaps St. Paul the Apostle and St. Augustine of Hippo, to whom St. Thomas often deferred, wrote numerous works of apologetics, theology, philosophy, and homiletics. He knew the Sacred Scripture by heart, as well as many of the works of the Church Fathers.
His masterwork, the Summa Theologica, or Summary of Theology, in three books totaling thousands of pages, answers every question one could have about the Faith, in which he quoted Scripture and dozens of Fathers of the Church to substantiate his conclusions. In addition, the Dominican theologian wrote some of the most beautiful chant for the Mass ever composed, such as the Eucharistic hymn, Adoro Te Devote. He accomplished his divine task in just 48 years of life.
History has preserved two relics purporting to be the skull that contained that amazing brain. One is housed in France, the other in Italy. The Italian relic was discovered at the Dominican abbey of Fossanova in 1585 with authenticating documents, where Aquinas spent the last days of his life. He seems to have received his inspiration directly from God. When celebrating Holy Mass three months before his death, he received an intense revelation, after which he stated: "The end of my labors has come. All that I have written appears to be as so much straw after the things that have been revealed to me." Thereafter he never wrote another word.
If it doesn't rain, it pours. This maxim is certainly true of the Newchurch of the New Order when it comes to the criminality of its leaders, even Newcardinals. Four of Francis-Bergoglio's Newcardinals have been charged with sexual assaults, mostly against children.
#1. NEWCARDINAL GERALD LACROIX, of Quebec, Canada, was charged on January 25, 2024, with sexually assaulting a girl. A spokesman for the Newarchdiocese, upon hearing the news, admitted to being "in shock." The Newarchdiocese is facing a class-action suit because of its clergy's rampant sex crimes. The victims' attorney predicts that more child victims will come forth to join the suit against Newchurch. That suit already includes almost 200 child victims assaulted by more than 100 presbyters in Quebec. Lacroix is an intimate of Francis-Bergoglio, who appointed him shortly after becoming Newpope. He serves on Bergoglio's Executive Committee to run Newchurch.
#2. NEWCARDINAL MARC OUELLET, also of Quebec, was charged with sexually assaulting a female intern. He finally gave up and abdicated in January 2023 from his position at the Newvatican.
#3. NEWCARDINAL JEAN-PIERRE RICARD, of Bordeaux, France, was caught sexually assaulting a girl.
#4. NEWCARDINAL THEODORE MCCARRICK, of Washington, D.C., was charged with sexually assaulting children and young Newseminarians. For years after the charges he maintained his position because he was an effective fundraiser for Bergoglio. [Some information for this Commentary was contributed by Agence France-Presse.]
Traditional Catholics, Francis-Bergoglio's "Zero Toleration Policy" toward paedophile crimes on the part of his Newclergy has become a joke around the world. Not only does he appoint paedophiles, but even when they are exposed, he lets them off. His Child Protection Commission has been exposed as mere window-dressing. Other than putting up a web site, the Commission has not been given authority by Bergoglio to do anything. Most of the Commission members quit very publicly in a scandal in October 2023, when they learned that Newjesuit presbyter Marko Rupnik, who had been once excommunicated for the very grave sin of solicitation in the confessional and for sex crimes against Newchuch "nuns," and had been permanently expelled in July 2023, had in fact thereafter been received as an active presbyter for the Newdiocese of Koper, Slovenia.
Dear TRADITIO Fathers:
The recent scandal created by Francis-Bergoglio's approval of purported blessings for homosexual and transsexual "couples" has sparked a maelstrom of controversy in Newchurch. Isn't it clear from Catholic theology that such blessings are sacrilege, for how could one ask God to bless those obstinately persisting in sin and vice? The same would apply, as the Epistle of St. Paul to the Ephesians makes very clear, to heterosexual "couples" (fornicators).
THE TRADITIO FATHERS REPLY.
Of course. This controversy all just the usual Newchurch politics. It has nothing to do with the Catholic Church. The question wouldn't even arise with a Traditional Catholic priest. Remember, the Newchurch of the New Order, which replaced the Catholic Church as the "institutional" Church in 1964 at the Vatican II Anti-council is most certainly NOT the Catholic Church, but is now like. e.g., the Lutheran sect. Newchurch and its officials are no more to be believed than Lutheran bishops and ministers.
The true Catholic Faith is being maintained now by Traditional Catholic priests at churches, chapels, and oratories around the world not associated with the pretender anti-Catholic Newchurch, which has no true priests or bishops/popes, and rejects Catholic doctrine and morality. Newchurch lacks all four of the dogmatic marks of the true Catholic Church: one, holy, catholic, and apostolic and thus in no way can be the Catholic Church.
Newchurch and its Newpopes, Francis-Bergoglio, Benedict-Ratzinger, JPII-Wojtyla, and Paul VI-Montini, have so betrayed the Roman Catholic Faith with their embrace of unRoman doctrine, morals, and worship, that a number of modern Romans and also Italians, are rejecting them and reverting to their original faith, that of the ancient Roman gods, who represent a traditional Roman spirituality.
The movement is called Via Romana ad Deos (Roman Road to the Gods). It returns to the ancient Roman religion that never really died out after the Edict "Cunctos populos" of the Roman Theodosius I the Great in 380, which made Christianity the official religion of the Roman empire. In 391 Theodosius closed all non-Christian churches. In 392 he forbade pagan worship and sacrifices. Yet the ancient Roman religion continued to be practiced in rural Italy and in upper-class Italian culture. Italian poets like Dante Alighieri in his Divina Comedia kept alive the memory of the ancient Roman religion. Many Roman gods were masked in Catholic guise, such as certain Madonnas.
Communitas Populi Romani is a leading association to promote "the same spiritual and cultural values as the ancient religion of Rome." In a practice that mimics Catholicism, members set up a space in their home dedicated to the ancient Roman gods. On February 10, 2024, Communitas Populi Romani met near the ancient Forum Romanum to venerate the deities Jupiter, Juno, and Apollo. Some of the Communitas members used to be Newchurchers, but they have abandoned the Newchurch of the New Order and reverted to their ancient Roman religion, which emphasizes duty to the divine, harmony, and the virtues of fidelity. piety, and religion, religion in this sense denoting correct execution of the rites of worship. Traditional Catholics, the significant number of former Newchurchers reverting to the ancient Roman religion indicates the catastrophic collapse of Newchurch and the increasing number of former Newchurchers who seek traditional worship and values, not the Modernist ones being shoveled out by Newchurch of the New Order. As a result, recent statistics confirm that Newchurch no longer dominates Italy.
The internet can be useful, but in religious matters it must be used with great care. First of all, sites associated with the Newchurch of the New Order, whether run by presbyters or laymen, should be shunned. They are filled with heretical information to mislead the faithful. Second, sites purporting to be "traditional" run by laymen with little knowledge of the true Catholic Faith, have popped up like fleas on the internet. As the Scripture (Matthew 15:14/DRV) warns us: "Caeci sunt duces caecorum" (They are blind and leaders of the blind).
Add to this the video sites like those on YouTube, where the layman appears with a big microphone jammed down his throat and pontificates on religious matters of which he is ignorant. One telltale sign is the use of Latin terms thrown in that are mispronounced, e.g., "ex caTHEdra" instead of "ex CATHedra." One of the biggest of these is Church Militant, which purports to be "conservative," if not "traditional," which has gone bankrupt in a brouhaha with a presbyter of the Newchurch of the New Order. Traditional Catholics, be sure to stay with proven traditional resources. As to books and the like, it is safest to rely on works that were published before 1950, except in the case of later authors who are explicitly proven traditional. In cases of unknown authors, consult your Traditional Catholic priest or confessor for guidance. Many books written after those years are infected with the errors of Modernism or of papolatry (idolatry pertaining to the pope, contrary to the Roman Catholic dogma of Vatican I Council) and should be studiously avoided by traditional Catholics, as they contain particularly gross errors and even deliberate disinformation.
THREE WORDS TO BEWARE OF: "NEW," "REVISED," "REPRINTED." "New" represents a product associated with the heretical Newchurch (think of "New" Mess, "New" Sacraments, "New" Doctrine, "New" Morality, "New" Bible, "New" Catechism, "New" Canon Law). Also, one must be careful of books originally published before the heretical Vatican II Anti-council (1962-1965), but "reprinted" afterwards. Unless these are photographic reproductions of pre-Vatican II works, they are not faithful reprints, but newly re-typeset editions "revised" to Newchurch specifications. Yet most editors do not clearly mark these editions as such.
THAT IS WHY WE GIVE A PRUDENT RULE OF THUMB: If a book is "reprinted," it can be "revised" or "updated" to heretical post-Conciliar practices and beliefs. Sometimes you can discover this information on the reverse title page or in a new preface or in the end-matter. Many times you can't, because the Novus Ordo and even "pseudo-traditional" presses don't want you to know that they have tampered with the original, traditional text. When these books are re-titled with Novus Ordo terminology, such as "Extraordinary Rite" or "Mass of 1962," you can be certain that the content has been "revised" to post-Vatican II heretical standards.
For example, Canon Francis Ripley's This is the Faith: A Complete Explanation of the Catholic Faith was originally published in 1951. However, it was "reprinted" with the text being changed to "update" it to practices and beliefs after Vatican II. This is also the case with many post-Conciliar editions of the Baltimore Catechism, the Catechism of Pope Pius X, and other original, traditional books. Avoid "reprints" and instead secure used copies of versions published before 1950.

A well-known traditional (?) Catholic bishop has been scandalizing true Traditional Catholics by suddenly pandering to the "sacraments" of the New Order (Novus Ordo) sect, aka the Newchurch of the New Order. In his most recent writing he answers the question "What about receiving hosts supposedly consecrated at Novus Ordo Masses (sic)?" by stating: "Perhaps best avoid them, because they can be invalid, and with time may be more and more so. However, in case of need you can receive such hosts, because they may also be valid." Doesn't that answer flatly contradict Catholic doctrine?
THE TRADITIO FATHERS REPLY.
That statement most certainly does contradict Catholic doctrine. The Sacraments must be certain. There cannot be any moral doubt, or a Catholic is obliged under pain of idolatry, a grave sin against the First Commandment of God, to shun the fakery like the Devil. The idea that a Catholic could receive a doubtful "sacrament" is unconscionable.
There are certainly examples of this doctrine in the history of the Church. After the Church In England revolted and adopted a Protestant Ordinal in 1550, written by the Arch-heretic Thomas Cranmer, the Catholic Church was split. Some Catholics, even some prelates, considered Anglican ordinations valid; most did not. In this situation of doubt, the Catholic Church never allowed Catholics to receive "sacraments" from Anglican presbyter/ministers. The Catholic Church never said "perhaps." No, in the case of moral doubt, a Catholic is strictly bound to shun such spurious "sacraments" entirely.
In 1896 Pope Leo XIII settled the issue once and for all when he declared in his 1896 Papal Bull "Apostolicae curae" that all Anglican orders had been and are "absolutely null and utterly void" because the Anglican Ordinal is deficient in intention and form, not intending to ordain a sacrificing priesthood, but merely to install ministers to an ecclesiastical institution that was not Catholic in belief. What Pope Leo XIII decreed about the Anglicans is a fortiori, i.e., even more, true of the Novus Ordo sect, the Newchurch of the New Order, or whatever you want to call it. That Newchurch, founded in 1964 at the Vatican II Anti-council, eventually rejected, in its official writings, the traditional term "ordination" and uses instead "installation," as of a Protestant minister. It rejected the term "priest" and uses instead "presbyter," an ambiguous term, essentially meaning "elder," much as the Mormons use the term "elder" for their clergy.
Therefore, it is unconscionable that any true Catholic, let alone a supposed traditional Catholic bishop of over thirty years, would ever speak of a sacrament as "perhaps." If it isn't clear to this bishop by now that Newchurch stopped ordaining priests in 1968 and does not have the Sacraments any more than the Protestants do, he may as well go back to the Anglican sect from which he came.
Benedict-Ratzinger said it. Francis-Bergoglio said it. The Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP)'s end is coming. We TRADITIO Fathers predicted that way back in 1988, when JPII-Wojtyla, in a panic that a schism of traditional Catholics from Newchurch was going to be accelerated because of traditional Archbishop Lefebvre's consecration in that year of four traditional bishops, recognized the FSSP on a provisional basis in a desperate effort to keep conservative Newchurchers from leaving Newchurch to go to Traditional Catholic churches, chapels, and oratories independent of the Newchurch of the New Order.
On February 29, 2024, FSSP Superior General Andrzej Komorowski met with Francis-Bergoglio at the request of Komorowski in order that the FSSP could "showcase deep gratitude to the Holy [Sic] Father." The real reason for the meeting was that the FSSP is trembling with the rumors going around Newrome that the FSSP will next be on Bergoglio's chopping block. Already the FSSP is hanging by a thread, its existence now relying on a mere "Decretum" of February 11, 2022, which contained the following timebomb:
Sanctus Pater etiam suadet ut sedulo cogitetur, quantum fieri potest, de statutis in litteris apostolicis motu proprio datis "Traditionis Custodes" [07/16/2021].
The Holy [Sic] Father also admonishes that zealous attention be paid, as far as possible, to the provisions of the Apostolic Letter given motu proprio, "Traditionis custodes" (July 16, 2021).
Inside reports from the meeting indicate that Komorowski complained to Bergoglio of the "difficulties encountered" since his decree. Afterwards Komorowski called the meeting "cordial," a de rigeur common diplomatic euphemism -- what else could he do? -- but no assurances were published by Newvatican itself. The FSSP's continued existence was left as murky as when Komorowski, in a panic, called for the meeting in the first place. Already a secret memorandum has been leaked from the meeting, which the FSSP deliberately omitted from its own summary, that Bergoglio has confirmed what JPII-Wojtyla and Benedict-Ratzinger had already de facto required as a badge of capitulation to the New Order, that FSSP presbyters annually "concelebrate" the Novus Ordo "Chrism Mess" with their diocesan Novus Ordo bishops on Maundy Thursday. Concelebration, when hordes of presbyters simulate Mess together, sacrilegiously violates traditional Catholic practice for two millennia and is in fact a Protestant practice. The "Chrism Mess" is not a Catholic traditional Mass, but was fabricated by the Freemason presbyter Hannibal Bugnini and implemented in 1956 in the transition to the "New Mess."
Traditional Catholics, in "Traditionis custodes" Bergoglio has already closed the New Latin Mess at FSSP priories only to its clergy and house staff. "Traditionis custodes" was the July 16, 2021, motu proprio that all but banned throughout the world the New Latin Mess of 1962, which in fact is not even the Traditional Latin Mass. Obviously, the word has gotten out: the FSSP's usefulness to Newchurch as a duplicitous lead-up to the full-blown New Order Mess has ceased, and its end is now in sight.

A Traditional Catholic priest recently told me that the laity should not be surprised by the current crisis in the Church. He said that the lay people get only the church leaders they deserve. When you have lay people in mortal sin without sanctifying grace, when you have most lay people not believing in the Sacraments, when the lay people themselves don't raise their children in the true Church, what kind of leaders do they expect?
He then said the clergy come from lay people to begin with, so, given the state of the laity, should we be at all surprised by the outright apostasy of Montini (aka Paul VI), Wojtyla (aka JPII), Ratzinger (aka Benedict), and Bergoglio (aka Francis), who represent the apostate Newchurch of the New Order?

In fact, the problems that the priest describes are not those of the Catholic Church, but of the Newchurch of the New Order, founded in 1964 at the Vatican II Anti-council to replace the Catholic Church as the "institutional" Church. Newchurch is most certainly NOT the Catholic Church. It is substantially no different from the Church that the Arch-heretic Martin Luther set up to replace the Catholic Church. It is bereft of the Mass, the Sacraments, and grace.
Yet the Newchurch laity, particularly the Neocon/Pseudo-traditionalists, continue to pander to this spurious Newchurch's corrupted Mess and "sacraments," its perverted doctrine and morals, and its unordained (invalid) clergy. They should have walked out of Newchurch long ago and found truly Catholic churches, chapels, and oratories not associated with Newchurch in order to preserve the true Catholic Faith. But they are too cowardly to do that, just as Pope St. Pius X predicted at the turn of the twentieth century.
Instead, the Neocon/Pseudo-traditionalist Newchurchers are like drug addicts: they can't kick the Newchurch habit, even though they must know that Newchurch is not Catholic, but blasphemous, sacrilegious, and idolatrous. They should have followed the example of the great Saints, like St. Augustine of Hippo, St. Basil the Great of Caesarea, St. Athanasius of Alexandria, St. Martin of Tours, and so many others over the centuries, who refused to have anything to do with an apostate Church.
On February 27, 2024, the Newdiocese of Oakland, California, announced that it was shuttering two Newchurch schools because of a "drastic decrease in enrollment"; near bankruptcy; human-trafficking, prostitution, and pimping; and financial mismanagement by the Newdiocese. St. Anthony Newchurch School in Oakland and Our Lady of Guadalupe School in Fremont will exist no more as of June 6, becoming the latest victims of Newchurch's continuing demise.
Oakland had already come under virulent criticism because Newbishop Allen Vigneron (later shuffled off to Detroit, Michigan), contrary to the promise that he had made, pillaged the Newchurch school funds to build in 2008 the Newcathedral of Christ the Light, known as Christ "the Extraterrestrial," because of the ghastly image of Christ looking like a fat E.T. above its eucharistic dinner table. The schools suffered to the tune of almost 200,000,000 USD to build the monstrosity, which Vigneron had promised would never be built at all. Traditional Catholics, not only Newchurch parishes but Newchurch schools are being shuttered right and left, largely because parents don't want to send their children to a school where they are not unlikely to be raped, sodomized, and otherwise sexually assaulted. Moreover, the children will not be taught the Catholic Faith, but the paganized apostasy of the Newchurch of the New Order, with its fake Mess, its fake sacraments, its anti-Catholic doctrines and morality, and its fake presbyters, who have not even been ordained under the Sacrament of Holy Orders, but since 1968 merely "installed," like Protestant ministers. These schools will not be missed by true Catholics.

In Catholic moral theology, is participating in boxing sinful?

When engaged in for recreational purposes, with proper protective gear and with the goal being exercise, it is not sinful. However, where the goal is essentially harming the opponent and beating him into submission, with the very real possibility of doing serious physical harm, as in professional boxing, the activity is sinful. Hundreds of competitors have died as a result of professional competitions. You can consider the moral situation with boxing being like that of fencing. In recreational fencing the participants wear protective gear and are not intending to stab the opponent to death.
Newchurch is tightening the noose around New Latin Holy Week Services, that is, the corrupted 1962 version that was the lead-up to the invalid (fake) New Order Mess of 1969, which the Newchurch of the New Order, most certainly NOT the Catholic Church, still uses. The 1962 version includes the sacrilegious and blasphemous gutting of the new rites of Holy Week introduced by the Freemason presbyter Hannibal Bugnini under the regime of Pius XII, a transitional pope to the New Order.
Benedict-Ratzinger and Francis-Bergoglio actually prohibited the Holy Week services except in the invalid (fake) New Order rite of 1969, which, in their fully-traditional form, originate from the early Church, with part of the services even being celebrated in Biblical Greek. The only sites where the fully-traditional, ancient Roman Catholic rites of Holy Week (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday) are available are Traditional Catholic churches, chapels, and oratories independent of the apostate Newchurch of the New Order.
Following Ratzinger's and Bergoglio's directives, the Newcardinal-primate of England, Vincent Nichols, on February 17, 2024, banned in no uncertain terms the New Latin 1962 rites of Holy Week. Neocon/Pseudo-traditionalists Newchurchers were stunned by the news. They had for years been playing the sycophants to Bergoglio, Nichols, and other Newchurch officials hoping to keep their corrupt 1962 services, but now in their perfidy Newchurch has pulled out the rug from under them. Traditional Catholics, New Latin Requiem Messes and Confirmations had already been banned. Francis-Bergoglio has decreed that the corrupted 1962 New Latin rites "impoverish" Newchurch. It is long past time that the clueless Neocon/Pseudo-traditionalist Newchurchers got the message and hightailed it out of the apostate Newchurch of the New Order to the many independent Traditional Catholic churches, chapels, and oratories, where the Catholic Faith is being preserved intact.
Timothy Dolan, appointed Newcardinal of New York by Benedict-Ratzinger, earned the sobriquet "Laughing Cow" because he treats everything that is supposed to be sacred as a joke. Dolan was never consecrated as a bishop, but only "installed" as a Newbishop-Overseer under the invalid (fake) Protestantized New Ordinal of 1968. The one thing Dolan isn't is a priest. Now Dolan has decided that he wants to be a professional baseball player. In February 2024 he denuded himself of his Newbishops' duds and donned a pitcher's uniform to prove the point.
In a radio interview Dolan even tried to justify the sacrilege and blasphemy in his St. Patrick's Newcathedral, as the atheist transsexual was lauded at her February 15, 2024, funeral there by signs around the Novus Ordo eucharistic dinner table reading "TRANSVISITE" and "WHORE." Like the infamous Newcardinal of Los Angeles, Roger Mahony, Dolan would not object to dancing Novus Ordo "nuns" on his "altar." Like all Modernist heretics, Dolan knows no bounds. None of this is, of course, Catholic.
Even Dolan's own Newcathedral rector, Enrique Salvo, couldn't stand Dolan's perversion. He called out the funeral as an "outrage and Dolan's statement to explain it as: "The Church has a sacred obligation to bury the dead." That statement is a lie. Catholic doctrine and canon law specifically deny Church burial to notorious persons, heretics and atheists, those who direct their body to be cremated, and a number of other blasphemous categories.
Trying to do damage control, Salvo indicated that Dolan had been played for the fool by the atheist transsexual's arrangers. Yet that too was a lie. The Washington Post revealed that Dolan & Co. had been given "ample warning" about the (in)famous atheist transsexual's identity. Dolan simply wanted to pander to Francis-Bergoglio's LGBTXXX agenda and didn't expect the continuing backlash. Dolan himself defended his inaction in the following words: "I say to the people, 'What are you all looking at Daddy here for?... I don’t have much clout, some fat, Irish, balding bishop [sic], talking about defending the Church?... people are going to say ‘Ho Hum!'" Traditional Catholics, the salient point about this sacrilege and blasphemy it that it would never have taken place in the Latin of a Traditional Mass. Use of vulgar tongues in the "liturgy" instead of the Roman Catholic Church's official Sacred Language was the battering-ram that allowed the Vatican II Anti-council and its bastard Newchurch of the New Order to take over the Catholic infrastructure and introduce the apostate New Order religion, what the Freemasons call the "Novus Ordo Seclorum."
On February 21, 2024, Australian police arrested Newbishop Christopher Sanders, of Broome, Australia on more than 19 counts of sex crimes, including rape (sodomy) against children. In January and February 2024 Australian officials raided Sanders' residence and questioned him. Enough evidence was found to arrest Sanders. Even Newvatican found the Newbishop guilty, but did nothing except order him to leave the Newdiocese. Sanders did not leave or give up his Newbishopric.
Sanders had a particular affinity to Aboriginal children. He embezzled thousands of dollars of Newchurch funds over a period of decades, plying the boys with cash, cell phones, cigarettes, alcohol, and travel. Sanders also hosted sex orgies with the boys. A 200-page independent report was compiled and came into the hands of Australian media. According to the report Sanders was described as "a sexual predator who seeks to prey upon vulnerable Aboriginal men and boys." Traditional Catholics, Newchurch's Great Sex & Embezzlement Holocaust has exploded to the point that now not only presbyters but Newchurch bishops are involved.
